Out there Coffee is one of my favorite coffee shops I've ever been to. They really know their stuff when it comes to good coffee and espresso. Not to mention how awesome the inside of the store is! I brew my own espresso at home, and am kind of a snob about it. One thing i don't do regularly is make espresso with light roasts, and I've only ever heard of a handful of stores (globally) that do because of how hard it is to be consistent when handling light roasts. Out there nails it every time, which means they really know what they're doing. Lastly; their logo sticker is the only sticker on my machine at home. Did I tell you I'm a coffee connoisseur? Well, I LOVE good coffee and I like mine strong/dark/bold. They have so many options I recommend you pull up the menu and become familiar with your options before you arrive. You can get your coffee hot or cold. OR, you can grab a smoothie. I was walking around Cape May and felt the need for some mid-morning peps. Now, there's no shortage of coffee spots here, but I did a little research before arriving and bookmarked a few that had consistently high reviews. Out There Coffee was one of these spots, and since I was steps away I decided to stop in and check it out. Out There is located in a small cluster of the stores at one of the ends of the Washington St Mall. Walking in, the vibes were giving coffeehouse but also beach - it was brighter than a typical coffee spot and had a good amount of space. There's no formal seating, however theres a small bench area opposite the counter where you can sit and wait for your order to be ready. The menu has mostly beverages - coffee selections as well as a section of smoothies. I noticed a few snack selections, but they don't have a formal food menu. I'm pretty straightforward, so I went with an iced coffee. It was pretty good - smooth flavor and they added just the right amount of cream. Service was fast and friendly - overall, Out There is a solid coffee spot in Cape May. They serve the goods in a comfortable atmosphere, and I would definitely return the next time I'm in the area. read more

I love love love this coffee shop. I didn't think NJ had local coffee shops like FL did but I was wrong. I am so happy I found this gem in Cape May. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is due to the hours. They aren't open every day only Thursday through Monday. However , it is definitely worth the wait for good coffee and customer service. Every time I order my drink, I always request it to be more sweeter and the staff always ensures that my drink tastes good and is willing to add any sweetener if needed. Super cute coffee shop with local art on the walls, scrumptious drinks, and stellar service! The woman who took our order was very pleasant and helpful. The drink selection is fairly large with enough variety allowing something for everyone- even if you don't like coffee or can't have caffeine you can find a yummy drink. My friend got an iced coffee which was delicious and not overpoweringly sweet (they made sure to let her know to tell them if she wanted more or less sugar/milk). I got the frozen chocolate which was TO DIE FOR! It had a rich flavor and is the perfect drink to get your chocolate fix while also staying cool on a hot summer day. Because of the great ratings I saved Out There Coffee for our last day.. kind of sad I did wait till the last day.. it's delicious and in my opinion the best coffee in Cape May. They have a unique menu and the staff is the friendliest I have met so far. I also bought coffee beans for home and my whole car smells delicious. While wandering around Washington Square Mall, we came across this cute little coffee place. I'm not a huge coffee drinker but saw they served hot cider. We decided to get small hot apple ciders (8oz) and they were like $2 and some change. We got our orders quickly and they even warned us that the ciders were super hot and to be careful drinking them. The coffee shop is really cute and and the baristas were friendly. My husband got a black coffee and I asked for my coffee to be jazzed up with a little pumpkin and half and half. The barista asked me to look at my coffee and weigh in on if the color (i.e. amount of half and half) looked right. I'd never been asked about the color anywhere and it was so thoughtful!
