I should have read the reviews before coming in! Our service was prompt but all the food was just blah. There were 5 of us and we got the clam chowder, wings, chicken salad and fruit, kids chicken fingers, side ceasar, Rueben egg rolls, burger, pretzel bites and calamari. The pretzel bites were good and my mother n law said the clam chowder was good but everything else was mediocre at best. I definitely wouldn't recommend coming here for food. read more

Cute spot to sit and relax in between shopping. Friendly service, and good food! Had a fried flounder sandwich, and it was probably the best meal I ate in Cape May. A lot of places around the area are very expensive with subpar food, so I was pleasantly surprised with how good the sandwich was and the price tag. read more

September 24 2025 My friend suggested Delaneys as her family enjoys coming here. I hadn't been to Delaney's although I've been in this shopping district many times. The menu is extremely extensive! My friend said they had everything you could possibly desire and she was right. I chose a plain burger it was really delicious and cooked as I requested it, medium but more of a medium well- it was ok by me. The roll was fresh. The service was very attentive. Our server was present throughout the meal. Inside the restaurant it's very dark and the booths aren't padded. Overall I thought that the prices were on the high side but that is to be expected in this touristy shopping district. Cape May is so delightful! I think if you are hungry and in the area give this place a try but be prepared for sticker shock. Non alcoholic fountain drinks are the highest I've ever seen at 4.99! I always love a good Irish pub. We'd been down in Cape May for a three day weekend and were so over eating. Night one was Union Park, day 2 was at the Ebbit Room, so for our last night we went to Delaney's Irish pub. Started with a Guinness with a proper pour. We shared buffalo wings and burgers. Wings were nice and plumb, a bit too much sauce for my taste .the burgers and fries hit the spot. They're a thicker cut fry and I asked for them crispy and they were delicious. A cold beer after a long hot walk. Great friendly service in a nice old fashioned pub. Bartender Kevin was excellent. A very nice guy with a great smile. The crab sandwich I had was excellent, nothing but large lumps of crab and delicious. It even was served with a bag of Wise potato chips which I haven't seen in years. We come to Cape May once, maybe twice a year in the summer. We ALWAYS come here, service is excellent and the food is fantastic. Our server today was very friendly, and accurate with taking our order. We tried a few new things: Spinach, walnut, apple salad... lobster roll, and the veggie wrap. And we had some classics: burgers and chicken fingers. ALL the food was an easy 10. Burgers are good tasting, fries were hot and crispy. The roll of the lobster roll, was not some cheap roll!
