Onion rings and Tater tots with crab fry seasoning went down perfectly with the Guinness and IPA I had. Pizza had too much cheese for me and not done enough. I like it brown but that's ok. Wings were juicy, plump and had a buttery buffalo sauce. Finger licking good. Chicken cheesesteak had a little too much cheese and not enough sauce for me but my wife liked it. Another restaurant we enjoyed so much that we went twice during our short visit to Cape May (see previous review). The prices here are ridiculous; in the best way. We were seriously shocked at them. So dang cheap! Just look at that menu and their "specials" board. Not to mention $2.50 pints of Pabst beer all the time! Cocktails are also very reasonably priced. Me and my husband love buffalo wings. We got an order of them during our first visit. WOW. They were sooo good. SO good. Up there on the some of the "best wings we've ever had" list. Im currently staying at a gorgeous Cape May bed and breakfast for my early birthday celebration! We had lovely tea and cookies and crackers with dips, etc. It fueled my hunger. My dinner suggestion was an old haunt that I used to frequent when my ex husband and I lived here... Kristen was our server. She was upbeat and sweet. A bright spot on our recent rainy and blustery fall visit to the cape. It's very much like some of the pubs we visited in Ireland in size and spirit. It's snug; Close tables and lots of happy people. However, the food and service are excellent, at good prices. The homemade soups are as delicious as any I've had, period. You'll see lots of folks starting off their meals there. Tasty burgers, wings, a really nice menu. Plan a visit here on your next visit for lunch or dinner or just a drink or two to get a sample of local life and save a few bucks. How have I not reviewed this yet! This is probably my favorite place to go in Cape May. Everything about it is great. We love the owner, Greg, who is frequently there and always happy to greet guests and to recoomend their famoous chicken salad and liverwurst sandwiches. I have been here countless times and have never once had a bad meal or bad service. They have a great drink menu, lovely bartenders, and several beers on drafts. Oldest Tavern in Cape May, serving customers since 1948. Ambience is nostalgic and dive-bar-ish but cool. We stopped in on a Monday night in April and the restaurant and bar area was busy, we found 2 seats at the bar and took in a Phillies game, enjoyed a few pints, enjoyed the boneless hot wings ("bites") and tried out the Monday Rib special. The beers were cold and delicious, the hot wing bites were perfectly spicy, with chunky blue cheese dressing on the side and celery. Neighborhood gem filled with locals. Absolutely amazing wings... and many different sauces. My bf had the garlic hot wings and wow... was the sauce delicious! Wings had very little fat and were very meaty. I got the buffalo sautéed shrimp which were very good. Only mediocre thing was the bar pie... was thinking of thin crust like Star tavern, but was more like a premade crust with sauce and tons of mozzarella! Can't wait to return to try a few more things. Went here twice in our trip. First time was just with the 4 of us...got the wings on the special and was awesome. Wings are huge and the rest of the food was pretty good too. Went back two nights later and there were 7 of us. Only thing was they put two very small tables together cause they said the bigger tables are for bigger parties. They seat 4. Whether it was us or two groups of three, those tables would've been used. Food and atmosphere was still great second time around though minus the cramped table part. I had a disappointing experience at this establishment. The waitress, who wore glasses, seemed unfriendly and even discussed us with her coworkers. It took her a while to check on us, and glad she did, the French fries she served us were cold, drinks were empty and meals were missing items. When I ordered my Guinness shown here, I had to go to the bar to get it myself she never came back. I just had a fantastic dinner with my family at the C View Inn! It has a small dining area but I loved the atmosphere. Our waitress was awesome and was very attentive to our needs throughout the meal. We all really enjoyed the food we ordered My sister, dad and I ordered the Lobster Bisque and it was soooo good! My sister and dad split mild buffalo wings; I got honey BBQ wings with ranch and they were shockingly crispy and so delicious; my brother got a bacon cheeseburger with loaded fries and loved it too! One of our favorite Cape May bars with great food. Great upbeat atmosphere and Guinness on tap. We went with the soup of the day,cream of crab, which a bit thick and not the best, a little lacking flavor. However the cheesesteak hoagie ( lettuce, tomato, raw onion and Mayo) was amazing as always, as were the onion rings. I don't know why it is so hard for places to get this right, but may I suggest a trek to The C View to look at theirs ? Ok, maybe the roll is a bit soft for a Philadelphia cheesesteak snob such as myself, but the beef and cheese more than make up for this misgiving. C-View Inn in Cape May is over 106 years old, or so I read. Irish theme, very affordable menu, good drinks, fun dive bar environment. This is a fun spot to visit down here without breaking the bank. The C-View fries are delicious, so tasty we got 2 orders of them! The wings were very lightly breaded, almost naked, and I got the garlic hot sauce and a side of their "suicide" sauce. Ok let's Wing it..... The Wings are always a hit at the C View Inn . The bar is small so try to get there early especially on the weekends. Likewise , the Parking lot is also small but the only size that counts are the Buffalo Wings. The wings are a nice size with incredible taste. We get them ordered well done.. nice and crunchy! The waitresses work hard and try to keep up with demanding bougie Cape May crowd . My only critique is the bar could be little cleaner. Half eaten wings are seen on the floor , bathrooms are filthy and the overall cleanliness is poor. The TV's could use an upgrade . October 21st, 2025. Stopped in to have a drink and food with a friend at the bar and proceeded to have the worse service. Was ignored for 5 min before I was asked if I wanted a drink or menu. Then when my friend arrived it took at least 3 min before she was acknowledged. Then when we decided to go somewhere else and I asked for my check. I was refused my check. No one would give me my check. So for the corona and ultra that I had I left $20 on the bar and walked out. It's a shame, I grew up going to that bar as a kid nights after working at the lobster house headed to the Seaview for wings and a couple drinks. Man has that place changed. read more

Picked up a large takeout order on 8/22 and it was terrible...warm/wilted Caesar salad placed in bag with hot food, underdone fries & onion rings, and dry/tasteless wings. called to complain but manager wont take call. i even dropped off the wings we did not eat. $78 down the drain. Had to order from another restaurant at last minute to feed my guests. Eating in their dining room is usually fine but think twice before you do take out.
