Picked up a large takeout order on 8/22 and it was terrible...warm/wilted Caesar salad placed in bag with hot food, underdone fries & onion rings, and dry/tasteless wings. called to complain but manager wont take call. i even dropped off the wings we did not eat. $78 down the drain. Had to order from another restaurant at last minute to feed my guests. Eating in their dining room is usually fine but think twice before you do take out. Went there twice last week 9/9-9/12 while we were down for vacation. Monday night the 9th the hostess was rude and nasty. Did not care for her at all. Wish I got her name but she didn't have a name tag on. I mean I asked a question and she came back at me with a nasty response and making a face while saying it. The waitress was OK but seemed to be friends with the hostess and they kept talking and it took for ever to get our food. Thursday the 12 was a much better experience. Hostess was very pleasant and the waitress was as well. Always made sure we had everything we needed. Anytime we needed something she was right there. As for the food we got the wings and a pizza. Food was amazing. Wings cooked perfect and we asked for sauce on the side so you really tasted the wings. Pizza was great as well. So no companion the food at all. read more

Great day to be the Cheesesteak guy. I have been driving by the C-View Inn for 40 years. The last 40 years of my life have been a lie. Then again I guess I'm happy I finally stopped into the C-View Inn. I got the C-view cheesesteak. Holy Mackerel!! It had a Toasted Roll, pepperoni and a long hot. This cheesesteak was bursting with flavor. Under $10, you got chips and a pickle. Holy Mackerel this was a tasty cheese steak. It needs to be bigger to start winning Cheesesteak Awards. But Holy Mackerel C-View Inn is definitely a place to stop and get a tasty cheese steak. The other food looked very good and they seem to have some great specials. read more

This is an old fashioned place. It reminded me of the old bars on corners of Philly in the fifties and early sixties. Local people, good food, pleasant surroundings. I had the day's special Tacos soft , hot and pretty good. Remember being here about 35 years ago with my late husband. Still the same ambiance, try it, you might spend time checking out the history hanging on the walls. A really cool place. read more

Grossly negligent in customer service! Waiting for twenty minutes to receive drinks during off season and a 16 person head count is unacceptable. Greeted with hostility from the waitress and observed/heard trash talking from the waitress about my family. After hearing numerous times from co workers that c view is the place to go in cape may for active duty service members it's so unfortunate to experience this type of service. I will do my best to share my experience with my peers and non locals. This will be my last time visiting and referring friends to this establishment. Wings and beer to wait for! Yes can't wait to go back. We have lived in the area for years and never made it down to the C View for wings even though we have been told they are the best. Well those people were not telling a fib. Now it's kinda small inside but that's fine it allows for good service from the staff. Everyone was friendly and our waitress took good care of us. No parking here so you'll have to park on the side. The inside is sort of outdated..gives a pub kind of vibe and their st Patrick's Day decor is still hung up in August. My blue moon was only $4..I think it might've been happy hour at the time. I started with the Manhattan Clam Chowder, it came out lukewarm, so I was pretty disappointed. The salad did taste fresh though! My dad and i ordered the flounder platter which came out crispy and flaky, not overly salty and a solid sized portion for the price. Food was good. Beware if you have a large group. We had a group of 11 people. We had five people arrive early to get a table. They would NOT seat anyone till everyone got there. Once all 12 of us got there they scrambled to get two tables set up, We asked for checks to be separate in the beginning and they said they would check and at end of meal split one couples and added everyone else's bill on one check. Server did end up splitting check and bill stated 18% gratuity but ended up to be over 30% due to computer glitch of splitting bills. Stopped in here late on a Thursday night after work. Was fortunate to find a seat at the crowded bar. It definitely is a locals bar but I'm in that category so it's Ok. One bartender that was friendly and working really hard. I ordered a couple beers and the 2 piece fish and fries which was excellent.
