Chicken nachos. Eh.

I feel like a local going to this local bar eatery. There is a small lot but it's tight so we parked on the street. The inside is tight but doesn't matter as we really enjoyed our food. The table really enjoyed the wings The staff was super friendly Prices were reasonable We will be back

Went here twice in our trip. First time was just with the 4 of us...got the wings on the special and was awesome. Wings are huge and the rest of the food was pretty good too. Went back two nights later and there were 7 of us. Only thing was they put two very small tables together cause they said the bigger tables are for bigger parties. They seat 4. Whether it was us or two groups of three, those tables would've been used. Food and atmosphere was still great second time around though minus the cramped table part. I would for sure hit this little gem up!

Oldest Tavern in Cape May, serving customers since 1948. Ambience is nostalgic and dive-bar-ish but cool. We stopped in on a Monday night in April and the restaurant and bar area was busy, we found 2 seats at the bar and took in a Phillies game, enjoyed a few pints, enjoyed the boneless hot wings ("bites") and tried out the Monday Rib special. The beers were cold and delicious, the hot wing bites were perfectly spicy, with chunky blue cheese dressing on the side and celery. The rib platter can't be beat for the price and taste, served with fries and slaw. Bartender was helpful and friendly.

Sadly, dining out at the shore can be overpriced, overhyped and overrated - That's not the case at C View Inn. The interior is everything you want from your local bar and the menu, incredibly affordable tavern food with a few cool surprises.

Stella and garlic hot wings! Delicious!

Neighborhood gem filled with locals. Absolutely amazing wings... and many different sauces. My bf had the garlic hot wings and wow... was the sauce delicious! Wings had very little fat and were very meaty. I got the buffalo sautéed shrimp which were very good. Only mediocre thing was the bar pie... was thinking of thin crust like Star tavern, but was more like a premade crust with sauce and tons of mozzarella! Can't wait to return to try a few more things. Prices very reasonable. Service definitely faster for locals, but we weren't in a rush!

I just had a fantastic dinner with my family at the C View Inn! It has a small dining area but I loved the atmosphere. Our waitress was awesome and was very attentive to our needs throughout the meal. We all really enjoyed the food we ordered My sister, dad and I ordered the Lobster Bisque and it was soooo good! My sister and dad split mild buffalo wings; I got honey BBQ wings with ranch and they were shockingly crispy and so delicious; my brother got a bacon cheeseburger with loaded fries and loved it too! The only thing we didn't love was the potato skins -- they were okay but not the best we've had. Overall, I would definitely recommend the C View Inn and I will definitely be back!

Great Locals spot that welcomes visitors. Reasonably priced drinks and entrees. Parking lot is tight and small so just plan ahead. Gets crowded during NFL games. Nice place for a low key meal or drink with a friend.

I had a disappointing experience at this establishment. The waitress, who wore glasses, seemed unfriendly and even discussed us with her coworkers. It took her a while to check on us, and glad she did, the French fries she served us were cold, drinks were empty and meals were missing items. When I ordered my Guinness shown here, I had to go to the bar to get it myself she never came back. She spent much of her time chatting at the hostess station, instead of taking care of her customers.

If you want delicious bar food at a great price CView will be your perfect choice. We went on a Thursday which is sliders night! 2.50 for a slider. They were delicious. Great beer selection and bartenders made good drinks.. another bonus for Cape May is it has a parking lot. Great Place

Very rustic locals place. We were looking for a very casual option. Drink prices were fantastic! Prices at this place is like from the 80's. VERY reasonable prices! We shared 20 wings as I read al these great reviews about the wings - they were just OK because they were breaded & I dislike breaded wings. Would go back again & try other things. Very tight seating.

They use frozen pizza and their wings are big chicken knuckles that are dried out. Anything in Caoe May would be better!

So we went early (no problem being seated around 5:30 or so, but it did seem full an hour later) and were we ever rewarded. Everything was simply perfect, including Vicki, our veteran and down to earth waiter. When we are unsure of things, she provided expert guidance with kindness and wisdom. The mussels appetizer are an experience not to be missed - save the bread for lapping up its saucy juice. My wife loved the pork chop - its huge and she took half home for lunch. I devoured the blackened fish of the day over bok choy. Both simply were outstanding. If/when again in Cape May again, we'd certainly come back. With a reservation!

I'm a sucker for a good thin crust, and this did not disappoint. Everything about the pizza was sublime. Even hours later when I heated up the remaining slices at the hotel, it continued to be a palate-pleaser. Second night, round two: I love a good turkey club but I would've willingly sold my right pinky for one this good. I nearly had to unhinge my jaw to bite into this beast. I again met my match and had to take half of it to-go. Did I have it later that night? No! I popped open that tray for a breakfast club the next morning and the flavour never missed a beat. Make this place a sure stop when you are in town!

This was at 7pm on a Wednesday. - the solution used to turn over a table has a strong floral smell. When 3 tables around us were cleaned within a few mins of each other the smell was way too intense. Yelp Mad Batter…read morereally impressed me. There we were, in Cape May on Thanksgiving Saturday looking for parking nearby. After finally finding a space, we walked up to Mad Batter, where there were already a number of people standing outside. We were a party of seven, so this wasn't looking good for us. Well, we had a Thanksgiving miracle. They had a table ready for us in less that ten minutes! The food and service here were both very good. I had the crab cake sandwich. It was very mild in flavor but still good. I recommend it, but I'll try some of their other offerings before I get it again. My sister-in-law had one of the specials, the Fried Tomato & Cracked Black Pepper Bacon Sandwich. She and my brother agreed that it was messy but delicious. The lobster mayo set it off nicely. Our server was really friendly and accommodating. She made sure we were taken well care of. We pointed out an error in the check, and she was very kind in taking care of it, and gave no attitude. If you can find parking, this place is worth coming to!

The worse possible service ever! TO THE OWNER: Please…read moreremind all waitstaff to ask customers about any allergies before serving food, to ensure their safety and prevent any potential harm. I ordered the harvest salad with candied walnuts. I have no idea what candied walnuts are, so I wish the waiter asked if I had any allergies because they can SOMETIMES contain cinnamon in it and I am allergic to cinnamon. When the salad came out I started to eat the salad and noticed my throat starting to feel funny. I didn't mix the salad well so I just ate the arugula with the sauce and the chicken. Half way through I noticed there were walnuts and I took a bite of it and my throat immediately started to swell and I can feel my face and tongue getting itchy. Thank god I have my allergy medications on me, but what if the next person this happens to doesn't... We immediately told the server about my cinnamon allergy and the waiter looked at me like I was joking because I ate half of it and then asked me "So you're done with that?" and I said, "Yes I can't eat it anymore, I'm allergic to it and it's contaminated with everything else. I felt my throat starting to close up, but I am okay because I have my allergy medicine. " He asked if I wanted anything else and I said no just a hot tea to help with inflammation. I appreciate that the server was trying to help us out, but he still came back with the bill and said the owner is still going to charge me because it says candied walnuts on the menu, implying that it's my fault...I really expected this place to have better service, but looking at past reviews I can see how this place has overpriced underrated food and terrible service. They don't care about their customers and certainly just focused on making money. Hopefully after today they include that their candied walnuts have cinnamon in it! Or at the very least ask the customers if they have any allergies beforehand

Food had some definite highs, but unfortunately, a big low. There's a lot going on in the dishes. We ordered two appetizers to start. The Tuna Tartare unfortunately was pretty bland and my wife thought a tad fishy. The Foie Gras by itself was delicious but it was drowned in a sauce that overpowered it. We tried the off menu special dessert; chocolate chip banana bread pudding with vanilla ice cream.
