My Husband and I had the most delicious dinner tonight at Tisha's. We have been going here since it was on the beach in Cape May.. nothing has changed. Service and Food is great! Highly recommend.

A friend recommended this restaurant to me when I told her we were coming to Cape May for my birthday this year. We decided to have dinner here on a Monday evening in mid October. We were thrilled we made that decision! There is a hostess station right inside the door. She was friendly and took us to a table in the back of the room we were in (there is another separate room in the back). We did not have a reservation. Our waitress Cat was wonderful!! Personable and professional, answering every question we had about the menu and restaurant! We started with the fried oysters and a harvest salad (I think that was the name of it). I had the seafood risotto and my boyfriend enjoyed the Thai salmon and shrimp. The food was absolutely delicious! We were so happy we found a new restaurant that we love in the area!

This place was amazing and earned it's well known reputation for fine dining. First of all, I highly recommend making a reservation in advance. The place was completely packed and I saw two parties get turned away simply because the restaurant was completely booked already. However, I overheard the conversation and I have to give kudos to the restaurant staff for having great recommendations for those parties to get a good meal. From what I heard, they really knew the area pretty well and I backed their recommendations too. We arrived with our reservation and were seated almost immediately. We had a little trouble deciding what to get. Luckily our server Kat walked us through the menu and had good ideas on what we wanted. We ultimately decided on: mushroom risotto and grilled polenta for appetizers. Seafood Pescadore and Seafood Risotto for entrees. For dessert, we got the flourless chocolate cake and bread budding. The grilled polenta had a great smoky flavor that paired well with the rabe. The mushroom risotto was really thick, creamy, and every bite was oozing with a savory flavor. The Seafood Risotto was also very similar and was filled to the brim with clam, mussels, scallop, and shrimp. The seafood Pescadore was equally chock full of seafood and sat on a bed of Linguini. It came with a choice of marinara sauce or white wine sauce. The mussels that came with that dish might be the very best mussels I've ever had. It was cooked tender but not chewey, and was seasoned with incredible flavor. The bread pudding had a caramel sauce with vanilla ice cream. The flourless chocolate cake was equally as good too with a gooey strong chocolate. As you can probably tell, I am raving about every single part of our meal. I don't believe we chewed on a single morsel of food that was bland or unseasoned. There was an incredible attention to detail on every ingredient on every single dish. This is definitely the place to go for a special occasion. The food and service have completely exceeded all of my expectations. So make that reservation, dress up nice, and show up. You won't be disappointed.

This restaurant has become a staple for us. Not only is the atmosphere, service and food quality delightful but with all the competition of places to fine dine, it's nice to find one you grow to depend on. BYOB is option! We haven't had a bad meal ever. My wife longs for the Halibut dish perched atop of mashed potatoes and green beans smothered in some creamy gravy-of-a-sauce-goodness is simply different in a subtle brilliant way. I had a Chioppino style dish which was a special that night. I ate all of my dinner only to leave freckles of marinara broth as traces of my experience. No desert this night because we frequent a spot out back. Great meal at Tisha's but $$$ so fair warning.

Both the service (Lisa) and the food were outstanding. This places has two rooms...one is lively and vibrant, and the other quiet and romantic. Food portions are just the right size and there are options for those allergies. And the location is right in the middle of the quaint downtown area.

Will the restaurant open for valentines weekend?

I do not know, however ck their website and FB. If they are open book now if you positively want to eat there. And you positively should! One of my favorite places. Enjoy and Happy Valentine.

Do they offer a take out/take away option?

    What is the dress code?

    Nice casual.

Side note: I went for dinner. Not much options open late. They had a live band. I sat outside where it was quieter and just street life noise. Very calm. Very appreciated.

Prices, a bit regrettably, are scaled for Cape May in tourist season. While we enjoyed our lunch, dropping over $50 for our lunches plus two soft drinks was a bit more than anticipated. Still, Fins deserves more business than it appears to get. Hopefully in season it attracts it.

Service by Mickey was wonderful. She was honest, helpful, attentive, let us set the pace, and made our visit great. On to the food. We began with a cucumber, gimlet, and a Hendrix martini. Both were delicious. For appetizers, we have the deviled eggs, Heirloom tomato and melon salad, and the unbelievably delicious Parker House rolls (4 for $8). The deviled eggs ($15) were some of the best we've had but come only three halves to an order (each topped differently, duck, lobster, Cherry). The salad ($20) was OK, but honestly a little bland. I don't think I would order it again. And I highly recommend the rolls and the eggs though. For entrées, my wife had the Cape May Scallops ($49) which were fantastic. I had the duck appetizer ($32) for my entrée. The sliced duck breast was more than enough and very tasty. My only complaint was it wasn't cooked medium rare as stated, it was cooked all the way to medium, which was only a little pink. Still it was delicious. We also shared a side, the special charred snap peas ($12) - very good! No room for dessert tonight.

The odyssey to finding it was well worth the effort. We had dinner reservations but on a Monday in May, probably did not need them. We both loved our flounder almondine order, despite it being a Monday night (when one does not typically order fish and expect it to be fresh). This really was! Service was top-notch and super-friendly from Jared, who was deeply apologetic when the oyster appetizer we ordered failed to appear - he comped a beer without prompting (and insisted upon it). Even absent this gesture, his attitude and manner made our evening - the excellence of the entrees was a cherry on top. One note and not the fault of the restaurant at all - a number of families with small children were dining at other tables. This is not an especially well-suited restaurant for families with under-5 kids. Their collective noise and behavior was more akin to, well, a Chuck-E-Cheese or MacDonalds. There was nothing anyone could do, of course.

The table was an awesome tucked away corner table that faced the inner dining room. The decor and experience were top notch. I'm glad I said no to eating outside. The room is absolutely beautiful if you are into vintage looks. I said it looked like Gaston's Tavern. Food and waitress service was good. My sister had the short ribs and they were tasty. The carrots it came with seemed boiled and again relatively flavorless. My husband had the sea bass but unless you got some of the very minimal sauce it was plated with, it was fairly bland. I didn't even sense salt and pepper. For the price point, I wouldn't rush back for dinner but might try another meal.

It was quite chilly while we visited Cape May so we really wanted to sit inside. First, the positive: The place is clean and the staff is nice. The Lobster Roll is delicious and the Shrimp Cesar Salad tasted good, but this is also where it goes bad. It is a huge salad and only had 3 shrimp. The cost of the salad is the same as the Lobster Roll. There is no way a salad should cost 26.99 and only have 3 shrimp. A pound of shrimp market value is approximately $25.99 depending on size & location. When it was expressed to our server, she quoted market price increases and that we could order more shrimp at an upcharge. If market price for shrimp is that bad, take it off the menu or offer alternatives like adding chicken that won't result in an upcharge or advise your customers upon ordering that they'd only get 3 shrimp. Hubs probably would have ordered something else. It's Cape May Fish Market so they should be upfront about their seafood. I didn't really care for the fact that we asked about it and were brushed off. While we'll definitely return to Cape May, we may not return here. .
