If you're looking for an Acai bowl, this is the place. The regular bowl, about $13, is a good size. The Acai blend was perfect, not watery not too thick. I also thought the açaí was extremely bland. I'm not sure how this is even possible but it had zero taste. There were charging ports all around (big plus!) and a book about Cape May giving us ideas of what we could do while we sipped on our drinks. He went with one of their popular ones, Warrior something and he enjoyed it. Wasn't sweet at all, very healthy. I went with the pink mango, which had organic pitaya (a form of dragonfruit), mango, coconut milk and almond milk. It was definitely different and had an interesting after taste but it was good. It was just a bit on the thicker end, so I was eating it via a spoon. Also, a bit pricy as well. Next time I am back, I'm going to def get a smoothie bowl! I first visited years ago at the Wildwood location and was happy to hear a Cape May location opened. First time I visited this location was in May and my pitaya bowl was delicious. I felt bad because a girl was working by herself and there was a line to the door, but she did a good job despite the circumstances. Second visit was today. Four people working this time. My friend and I again ordered a pitaya bowl and a monkey bowl. The consistency was much less thick so the bowls were liquidy. Hers had two big unblended chunks. Not as important, but the bowls were not as presentable for picture taking and sharing purposes, especially in comparison to how nice they looked on our first visit. As we sat and ate, we listened as one of the workers (the same from the first visit) called out "Green Hero Smoothie with added protein!" and handed it to the man who claimed it. A couple minutes later come to find out it was someone else's order who must have been there before him (not something he could have known). The girl who handed out the smoothie proceeded to go behind the counter while exclaiming, "People are so stupid." When she brought out the next order she announced, "Green Hero Smoothie and Banana Bean smoothie." A woman replied that she had ordered a green hero. The worker asked if she also ordered a banana bean and when the woman said no, she stonefaced replied, "Then this isn't for you." Seemed to still be frustrated about the Green Hero -napper. The person who brought our bowls out used our names that we gave when we ordered, so there was no confusion. These interactions came off pretty rude and not really the attitude or vibe you'd expect here. Luckily, that man didn't have friends or family still in the shop that could have heard her say that. For a place that just opened up ASC is off to a great start. I've worked in restaurants before and I know how hard it is to get all the kinks work out but they are well on their way. The smoothies are amazing. It takes a while to make them since they only seem to have two blenders but it's worth the wait. The classic Rio Bowl is awesome!
