I occasionally stop by Uncle Bill's on the weekend when I'm headed to Flushing to go food shopping. There's plenty of parking available. It's busy on weekend mornings so we usually end up at a table instead of one of the booths. Today, from the weekend brunch menu, I ordered the Greek omelette with home fries, rye toast, and tea; and my SO ordered the Big Breakfast (2 eggs over medium, bacon, sausage, home fries, white toast, pancakes and coffee). The food came out after a little wait. The food was tasty and my home fries were well done as requested. My SO said his food was good and the meat was cooked well, but he mentioned that the home fries came out a little cold and the pancakes were a little dense. The servers came by several times to check on us and refill the coffee/hot water. Overall, Uncle Bill's is a solid breakfast/brunch spot (I've never visited here in the afternoon or evening, so I can't speak to their lunch or dinner offerings). The portions are pretty big, and with the bill coming out to $35.40, I feel we got our money's worth.

Eggs over easy, home fries well done the way I like it, and some bacon. The other plate was in order of Belgian waffles with some bacon.

this is a solid diner. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food is solid. The place is pretty clean. There's plenty of parking in a very ugly shopping center parking lot. That's the big downside to coming here. Outside of the place is kind of gross., but once you get inside, you're fine.LOL

We were craving diner food and came here in the afternoon on a Sunday right at the tail end of lunch rush. We were seated after waiting a few mins and the service was very friendly. We ordered a milkshake, hot tea, chicken lemon soup, a chicken parm sandwich and gyro wrap. I thought everything was delicious with the exception of my soup, which was lukewarm and I prefer it piping hot. We had more than enough food and took home what we couldn't finish as leftovers. Overall we had a pleasant experience and would come back to try other items on the menu.

My family LOVED this diner because not only were the portions big, but the staff was so attentive and caring. We were seated within minutes and decided to order what we wanted. All of the food came out hot and we loved how generous they were with the amount of food they gave. As a classic diner lover, my cravings were fulfilled. The ambiance was amazing too with lots of people when we visited over the weekend. We will definitely be back for more eats! Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5

We wanted to go somewhere that was open early, and we came across this spot. We got there at 10 a.m., and the restaurant was almost full, with only two to three tables left. We immediately noticed that it was very busy and couldn't help but feel a little cramped in terms of the seating and the servers walking around. We were given the breakfast menu and ordered two large orange juices, steak & eggs, and a big breakfast platter. Both entrées came with buttered toast with a side of grape jelly. The steak & eggs came with home fries, and we requested the steak to be cooked to medium and the eggs to be scrambled. The big breakfast platter came with eggs, home fries, two sausages, two pieces of bacon, and two pancakes. We also got these eggs as scrambled. The food tasted like typical diner food, and we think that their sausage and home fries stood out the most. Overall, we thought that this diner was a little more pricey than usual; however, we would come back for a quick diner meal.

    What we actually got!

Their Big Breakfast is really good. We get it most weekends, BUT, today I thought I would just get a sandwich and onion rings listed as "sliced onion coated in a savory batter". WRONG!!!! It was deep fried ring shaped onion flavored mush! At a cost of $7.25!!! VERY. disappointed!

Mediocre food that's slightly overpriced. Service was friendly but wouldn't plan on eating here again.

I remember coming to this place in its previous iteration (think it was called Jackson Hole)..and was excited to be trying a new spot (at least it was new to us!) I ordered my chicken souvlaki platter, but asked them to hold the fries (and just add extra salad). Others at the table had the chicken avocado club sandwich and a BLT (no tomato). Everything arrived very quickly....super hot and fresh. The food was excellent! My souvlaki was cooked perfectly and the giant chunk of feta on top of the salad was delightful. I probably should've asked them to hold the pita, but I did indulge in most of it. The tzatziki sauce was also just right. Nice to know that there's another good diner to choose from in the old hood!

So went to my friends office nearby and for lunch we ate at diner at. I haven't tried this place…read moreso it was a beautiful ambiance with the cherry blossoms. We were also intrigued to try the sangria that yelp raved about. We got a pitcher! It did NOT disappoint. It was a decent size pitcher for the price. Roza came to us and asked if we liked it and told us it was her recipe. No sugar ,No soda .It was tasty, thick full of fruit and definitely had liquor because I left with a buzz She also brought out the rosè for us to try pretty good too very refreshing will definitely do that one in warmer weather. I got the Dbar burger it was good but so big I didn't finish it all. My husband got the rib eye burger. He liked it but it was a little to greasy for him he didn't finish it. My 13 year old wanted breakfast. It was not in the menu but we figured we ask since it is a diner. She got pancakes with fruit and scrambled eggs. My youngest daughter got from the kids menu grilled cheese with fruit she enjoyed it so much we had to order another. Both girls for the marshmallow milkshake they LOVED it! For appetizers we got calamari good but could've used a little more breading. Also got chips with guacamole and honestly for a diner it was delicious. Everyone was friendly. Roza knew she had a bday past since we conversed for a bit and suggested we can sing her happy bday and asked what she liked I told her chocolate cake. They asked for the correct spelling of her name which I thought was sweet. Anyway the staff came out and sang with us super cool. Even the bathrooms are really clean. It was a great experience will definitely come back.I must be honest it's a hit pricey. The price for the pancakes with eggs was $23 when we saw the bill I was a little surprised. Kids' meals are $13 and I thought we were getting the cake (free, lol) since I technically didn't suggest it. It was $12 for a slice. But overall it was a pleasure she even gave us a sample of vodka with lemon and ginger which was actually good and helps settle the stomach.

But the really beauty is that it looks like an old school diner, it's just far enough the beaten path, that it's regulars coming here. BRING CASH! My sister has wheels so I hit her up and we hit the road. We ended up grabbing lunch but I want to return for brunch. I loved the old school aesthetic from the outside and all the details on the inside. THE BETTY BOOPSSSSS are the absolute best! I could not get enough. Didn't take too long for a table, maybe 15 minutes. It's popular for those who know. We got seated in the back. Out waiter was nice but new so there was a couple miscommunications but it was all good. He was in training. Judging by the people around us, they knew what they wanted. They came over and gave us pickles for the table. My sister was not a fan, so I did not partake. The father/son duo next to us got entrees but shared pancakes and the son got a milkshake. I think next time, I need to take their lead. I got a fish filet sandwich and my sister for a tuna salad sandwich with fries. I had potato salad but her fries were better. My sandwich was yummy on a brioche role and avocado slices. I loved it. I really can't wait to return. I told everyone I know about this place! May it last for many more decades ahead!
