My experience with this moving team was overall mixed. From the beginning, communication was clear. Maxim did mention that 3 hours might not be enough for a two-bedroom apartment and estimated the move could take 4-5 hours. I appreciated that transparency, and that's why I chose to hire three movers--to stay within that expected timeframe. The team arrived on time, was polite, and worked consistently throughout the entire move. I want to specifically highlight that they didn't take breaks and maintained a steady workflow. Their teamwork and communication with each other were also very good, which made the process feel organized. However, the move ended up taking 8 hours, which significantly exceeded both the original estimate and my budget. While I understand that moves can be unpredictable, the final cost being nearly double what I anticipated was disappointing. What affected my experience the most was the situation around tipping. At the end of the move, the team directly asked my mother, "Where's the tip?" This felt uncomfortable and somewhat inappropriate. I had already paid much more than expected due to the extended time, and I hadn't planned for an additional expense on top of that. I still chose to leave a $100 tip, but the reaction suggested it was not considered sufficient, which made the situation feel even more awkward. I want to share my experience with this guys. I called Umove lately evening at Friday and they managed to arrange my move on the next day early morning which was a big relief for me. I'm absolutely positive about this company - 2 guys came exactly on time. Also i recieved a call from them in advance and they notified me that they are on the way and will be at my location in 30 minutes. Truck was big enough to make one way trip (Maxim did a great job he stacked my stuff inside the truck very professional. I was suprised when I could see my whole apartment fitted in almost half a truck). My previous move was quite negative because other movers I got leaved heavy scratches on the stairways's path and corridor's wall. I got heavy old-style furniture so when I saw Alex's and Maxim's physique I was really hoping they could do it better... And they did it perfectly, however my new place was also narrow doorways and lack of space. Careful to details, my belongings as well. I was pleased and I could see they are motivated to work fast and professionaly. Didn't show it was a hard job so they smiled a lot. Pricing was accurate, due to timeframes of estimate, no suprises with the bill. No doubts guys are awesome, and i'm very happy to be the first one to leave them my review. Okay, folks, these guys are absolutely awesome! I would hire them again in a New York minute! Even a San Francisco minute, for that matter. They moved a ton of stuff (5 boxes at a time on their hand trucks, and large pieces of furniture) down three cramped and filthy flights of stairs in a heartbeat with nary a scratch. Like, what is this? They wrapped with blankets just the things I asked them to take time to wrap, took apart and reassembled complicated furniture, and did an amazing job fitting everything in their truck, and I mean everything from 16 years in the apartment. That is a long time and a lot of stuff. Well prepared, personable, flexible, professional. To boot, way above and beyond the call of duty at the destination. There was a discount for cash, so I paid as much as I could that way and the balance by card. No problem or BS feedback like it had to be all one method of payment. The reason they have so few reviews is because they are very new working for themselves. Both guys have a lot of experience as movers and it shows, so don't let the number of reviews scare you away. I was moving my father into a retirement community and needed quick, reliable, and affordable help to get him out of his current place and set up into his new place in one day. UMove was very professional and well worth the cost, the price set was very affordable on my fathers budget and they were extremely efficient to minimize the total cost. They took care with all of his belongings to wrap them carefully and double checking to make sure no items were left behind. They were extremely efficient, they knew exactly what to pack up first to last. They offered free clothing boxes to use for easy transport and even brought extra large boxes to put some of our smaller unboxed items in to make the move more efficient and timely. They took time to wrap our furniture in blankets and wrapped our mattress and cushions for protection of any dirt while transporting. Oh and they unassembled and reassembled anything that needed it! Had a great experience with UMOVE today. Moved furniture from storage to 2-br apartments. I have some really big and heavy furniture items (210 lbs TV stand which is 72" x 22" x 40", for example), narrow corridors and stairways and a tiny elevator. I was really in doubt if it is actually possible to move some of that furniture into my apartments. These guys managed to fit the furniture into the elevator, though it is really heavy and big, so sometimes they had to carry it on the sides. They wrapped everything into their blankets, so there is not a single scratch on my furniture. Loaded and unloaded everything very quickly. Movers are organized, polite and professional. We got to know about Umove through google and we were skeptical initially. Maxim and Amir were very clear and detailed to start of with. They asked for a video of stuff to be packed and an overview if movement. Once it was done and the time was set, they arrived exactly on time without any hiccups.
