House special fried rice, tonkatsu shoyu ramen, the yummiest and freshest chicken wings, karaage, egg foo young.

Large portions, taste like home cooked Asian food! Delicious and tasty - and multi-Asian cuisine (Japanese, Chinese, Thai). Right next to NewTown Bakery! Definitely try the chicken wings - so fresh and so tasty!!

We were in BC for one evening. Umami was walking distance from our hotel. They seated us quickly and the waitress was very sweet with our kids and taking our order. She accommodated our picky 10 year old with almost no broth in his ramen. The portions were big and so tasty. I also ordered a ginger tea (not pictured) and it was so delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant for the service and food!

Staying at the Civic Hotel across the street and didn't want hotel food. Decided to take a chance here and was pleasantly surprised. Good food with larger portions and fast friendly service. Will come back for the cleanliness, service, and vast menu of pan-Asian dishes.

Bar area and updated + clean decor.

Not sure why there such low star reviews. Stopped by here on a Monday at noon for lunch as they are next to New Town Bakery and didn't just want Siopao. So we ordered Shoyu Ramen, broth was flavorful, the chicken was also grilled really well. And noodles were perfect texture. The Salt and Pepper Squid was also really good, fried and crunchy outside while inside was nice and chewy squid. Also ordered Veggie Tempura and Roti. 4 star for food. 1 extra star for really good service. A nice surprise given the location.

It was my first time here. My friend brought me here after we checked out the Surrey Christmas Tree Lighting. It was cold and we wanted something warm. Meal was good. Service was kinda slow. It's funny that they charge you for containers when you have left overs ‍. I would think after we spent almost a hundred bucks that they would give the containers for free.

Spicy vegetarian tan tan men

Right in Whalley city centre, this medium-sized place has an enormous menu with Japanese, Malaysian, and Thai dishes, and more. I came here to try the ramen, as they have 4 different vegetarian ramens (with vegetable broth); the regular ramen noodles have egg, so you can substitute udon, flat rice noodles or vermicelli to make it vegan. I ordered the spicy vegetarian tan tan men ($12.95 plus tax) with the flat rice noodles. The soup came out in less than 10 minutes. You get a generous portion of noodles, and copious toppings that included a few pieces of deep fried tofu, broccoli, bok choy, kikurage, menma, cabbage, corn and green onions. The broth was nicely spicy and well-flavoured, not too intense or out of balance in any way. It wasn't overly complex or a top-tier ramen broth, but it was well-constructed. Decent, quick service. I was happy with this place--a high 3-star rating, just because it can't compete with the better, authentic ramen places in Vancouver/Richmond.

Absolutely unexpected favourite! I've been walking/bus-ing past this place opposite Surrey central station for over a year now and never went in to try. After a typical hungry "I don't know you tell me where you want to eat" argument with my husband lead to "whatever the f**k closest ramen place is" and I'm glad we decided to try it out! The place is clean and spacious. We were greeted by a big smile which I have realized isn't as common as it should be. We ordered and waited somewhere thinking that this place isn't going to cut it but I don't want to say I want to go somewhere else and start an argument again!! Marriage is so exhausting sometimes Our food was came quickly and the quantity was huge! Ramen (for the man) + chicken rice bowl (for the little man) was a super economical combo and was good amount of food. My chicken cashew with rice was delicious but had few pieces of chicken and loads and loads of veggies. But I'm not complaining I liked it. After Hang-ry afternoon this place delivered to the point and we were having a conversation instead of I will kill you looks. And the total bill was *drumroll* $ 27.70 !!!! Super cheap for so much food. So next time ur hungry at the station don't go to the mall for the same old stuff. Try this place out. You might be surprised as we were! Food: 3.5/5 Ambience: 3.5/5 Service : 4/5

Tonkotsu truffle ramen

Free wifi is offered. Noodles texture is different from other ramen shops, but still ok. Truffle is pretty match with the broth. It would be better if there was more tonkotsu in the ramen.

Amazing customer service (something I don't always find in Asian fusion restaurants) and ambience is great.

I'm devastated to update my review to 3 stars :( Usually the service is pretty good but today was really disappointing. Although many tables were open, several groups of people waited to be seated. There are only two servers and we were greeted with frowns. The worst part, I think, was ordering and waiting over 45 mins just to have our order "checked on." I doubt they even remembered to place our order. The table beside me (group of 3) had their order delivered and they came 20 mins after us.

Great selection of ramen, clean, and not overpriced. I was stuffed! One of the better restaurants near the surrey central station.

I've had a lot of ramen and this was by far the worst I've ever tasted. We ordered through delivery and although hot on arrival. The various meals were not labeled (expecting us to figure out what was what). The gyoza tasted as though they were microwaved. The chicken skewers were covered in grease. The broth had absolutely no flavour/spice/salt and there were layers of fat on all of them. Noodles did not appear to be fresh made (too perfect as if they came out of a factory). We also got the thai iced tea and it was very very diluted. Overall we're not going to order here again. There are far better quality places available.

My husband and I love ramen. When we saw that there was a new ramen place in Surrey, we had to try it. He had ordered the truffe ramen and I ordered the shio tonkontsu garlic black (?) ramen. The flavour of the broth was very underwhelming. For a ramen which had a lot of garlic i could barely taste it! The broth was not rich in flavour like Full ramen. The noodles were a nice doneness and thickness! We had added on nori, which was basically like sushi nori.. bland and chewy. The bamboo shoots in the ramen was extremely salty!!! Too bad for my husband who ordered extra on the side. The chicken karrage we had was a good portion for the price but lacked flavour and was not very crispy, reminded me a lot of popcorn chicken from KFC. All in all.. i think we will be sticking to our downtown Ramen spots While we were leaving we stopped at the new town bakery... their pineapple coconut buns were the highlight of our lunch trip.. (we dont even like coconuts)

Ramen Bella is a good spot to visit for nice big bowl of ramen…read more I of course had the Red Hot and my daughter had the Ebi Ebi. According to my daughter hers was excellent and I have to agree the broth was rich and tasty. The Ted Hot was good and just the right amount of spice. We also ordered the karaage and the flavour was good. I bit too much fried for me. Prices are good and the place is clean.

Short Review: The…read morehomely but Japanese-inspired decor is nice for this restaurant. They followed all COVID-19 precautions, and It's a fair price for a large bowl of ramen. I ordered the "Red Hot" ramen, and I can't say the soup base is the most flavourful, mainly due to the spice ratio being slightly too much, but it's tasty nonetheless. If you live in Port Coquitlam, this place is worth a try. Long review: Ramen Bella recently opened up its second location in Port Coquitlam, and took over the Mexican gourmet that used to be there. This restaurant has got a great atmosphere, although it's quite quaint and still keeps the old tiling from the Mexican establishment, it fits it nicely although I can't say I feel like I'm sitting in an underground ramen shop in Shibuya. All staff followed COVID-19 procedures, wearing masks and practiced social distancing to the best of their abilities, they disinfected tables and chairs after people left and overall made the dining experience feel safe. We ordered, and our food came to us in less than five minutes, Igot the red hot ramen, and I gotta say it was pretty good. Usually spicy ramen ends up just being spicy and totally overpowering the broth flavour. I can't say the ratio was absolutely perfect, but it was a lot better than most other places. The portion size was great, but I'm not sure how I feel about bok choy and wonton crisps in ramen. The noodles tasted like good quality ramen noodles, but not home-made at the restaurant. This was quite minor but my soup didn't really come out to me piping hot, and more just hot in some spots and warm in others. I trust that it was a mistake considering my lady friends bowl was totally hot though. The gyoza we ordered with our meals was quite tasty. The pork and chives filling was what you'd expect for a restaurant like this, and the size of them was eatable in about two bites. These were super hot, so let them cool off for about a minute before you dig in! Overall if you live in the Tri-cities or Port Coquitlam, this is your best bet for ramen if you don't want to travel out to Vancouver. I think they should change the soup base to spicy ratio in the Red Hot bowl, to give it a little more flavour. Overall, this place has a lot of potential to be great, but for now, i give it a 3.5/5.
