Original ramen with seaweed and egg
Evan C.

Great find in. south Surrey for when you cross back from the states. I had the "original" which had seaweed and egg. Broth - amazing. Rich pork flavour. I really loved it and couldnt have enough. Ramen - ok. Didn't stand out. Chewy but I prefer the really smooth thin type. Meat - decent. Egg - really good. Just short of runny. Great flavour again. Other ingredients - I loved the way they prepared the sliced green onions. Not usual cut, they are cut lengthwise which makes the look and texture more unique. I also loved the seaweed. Would definitely come back.

It has been a couple years since I last stopped by. I was in the area and decided to stop by for a late lunch. Covid precautions were in place. There was hand sanitizer at the front of the restaurant, contact list for tracing purposes and staff wore masks. There were only three tables available to seat customers. The menu was online with a QR code. We ordered the original and miso ramen, popcorn chicken, and two drinks. I was surprised all the food arrived before our drinks. Service was fast. There was choice of belly or chashu as meat topping on ramen. We picked chashu. It was tender and flavourful. I had the original ramen. The marinated egg was soft boiled and I was pleased that a whole egg was included. The noodles was alright. The broth was good but did not have as much depth as other ramen shops. However, I think this is a solid option for this area in Surrey. The popcorn chicken was made well and what I would expect for Taiwanese style. I also enjoyed the fried basil leaves that accompanied the chicken. I also ordered a strawberry and mango milky slush. It was refreshing. I noticed the restaurant discontinued their Taiwanese beef noodle soup. It is unfortunately because there are not many Taiwanese food options on this side of the Port Mann bridge. If you are looking for ramen or bubble tea, this is a great option in the area.

vourite ramen spot! For a party of 4: - Garlic Tofu - Popcorn Chicken (ask for spicy mayo, it is so good with it) - 3 Original Ramen - 1 Spicy Miso Ramen Everything exceeded my expectations. All the dishes were delicious and flavourful. I love how the broth is neither oily or salty and the pork just melts in your mouth. Interestingly, the spicy mayo wasn't the usual kind and it was so, so good with the popcorn chicken. TRY IT! :)

Superb food, great service and very clean environment. Their ordering system is not very intuitive and doesn't work for USA phone numbers, but the waitresses were very friendly and helpful.

Pina colada slushy (yum, for me), jasmine tea (ok, per me wife)

A nice spot for a Sunday lunch for two. Had the mazesoba which was very well rounded (a bit smaller and a bit cheaper than Kokoro), the popcorn chicken (taiwanese style) was well seasoned (and surprisingly, my wife really liked it), and drinks were good (jasmine green tea and pina colada slushy)

I was super excited to see a Ramen and Bubble Tea Restaurant to grace South Surrey's Morgan Crossing Shopping Complex - they are located next to Suki's. Upon entering, your eyes are wowed by the unique decor - a spoon wall, shelves lined with bowls and a rustic wooden interior with cozy bench seating. Staff are very friendly from start to end. My boyfriend and I came to try our their noodle dishes. I ordered the Shoyu Ramen and my boyfriend ordered the Taiwanese Beef Noodles. I was hoping for a rich, creamy broth like the many ramens I have had in Vancouver but the ramen broth was on the lighter side and didnt have as much depth in flavour. The noodle were pretty disappointing as well, pretty limp and flat with not much chewiness or thickness. The pork belly was super fatty and I really liked how they charred it with a blow torch. In the end, for the price, a mediocre bowl of ramen. My boyfriend said his beef noodle soup could have had more depth and flavour as well - a lighter soup than we are used to. The noodles were thin and nothing too special either. Although he said the beef brisket was really tender and delicious. The 4 star review is really boosted only because of the bubble tea. The Milk Tea with Pearls was well-balanced in the richness of tea and creaminess of milk - also, I didn't have to say 1/2 sweet - it was made perfectly. The pearls were really chewy and had a slight sweetness to them too! My boyfriend had a lychee slush and it had real lychee at the bottom as well! There is a bubble tea punch card as well - so I'll be sure to come back and try to fill up that card for a free bubble tea! In the end, still very happy we have some noodle and rice dishes in the Morgan Crossing neighbourhood. But extra excited there's some legit bubble tea only a 5 minute walk away from us! Welcome Menzou!

Been looking for a nearby Ramen place and stumbled upon this great resto while doing our last minute Christmas shopping. Their bubble tea was awesome, ramen and tofu etc. Their service was great too. We will surely be back!

Spicy Miso Ramen

Everything here is top notch!! If you're looking for a ramen restaurant in White Rock, you have to try this place. Better than all the "best ramen" places in Toronto, Vancouver and Richmond. The pork slices in the ramen melt in your mouth like butter. You can't find that anywhere else! Try it and you'll see for yourself! The Taiwanese popcorn chicken is 5/5 stars, and the surprising thing is how good their spicy mayo recipe is. It's not the standard sriracha + mayo. I never thought I'd rave about spicy mayo but it was really good.

It was ok. I'm always hesitant to go to ramen shops that aren't run by actual Japanese people. Don't get me wrong . There's plenty of cuisines out there that others can make like its authentic but to me ramen isn't one of them. The sign outside this place said ramen and bubble tea. that for me is already questionable. Then when I entered and looked at the menu I noticed that there were also Taiwanese dishes on the menu. Along with other Japanese dishes. Con-fusion. I was hoping this place was going to be legit ramen because of the ambiance and the minimalist decor. But it's not. It's ok ramen. I would rather travel downtown for better . I ordered the miso ramen. The broth lacked that porky rich flavour. There was an option of chashu and pork belly. The waitress did say that the pork belly had more fat and the chashu was leaner. I found that the pork belly was hard and didn't have that melt in your mouth texture that most ramen places have. The noodles were disappointing. It didn't have that chew that I was so craving. Will not be back for ramen. But perhaps I will come back to try the Taiwanese chicken and beef soup. Service was efficient. If you're on this side of the bridge looking for legit ramen , try Akedo Showten in Langley. It's a chicken based broth but it's authentic and really good .

Outstanding ramen! Was a first time visit and was blown away by the quality of food. Half inch thick pieces of pork belly, fresh noodles and rich broth. Decor was on point and atmosphere was lively. The kitchen is open and gives an air of authenticity. I really love this place.

It's not your typical ramen joint because looking at the menu, they have some other Asian dishes that are from different cultures. It's like a mish-mash of Asian flavours! We stuck to the ramen dishes since that's what we were after, and it was actually super delicious! Firstly, the bowls are bigger than usual ramen bowls from other Japanese joints, so you get a bit more. Your ramen comes with the basic meat/protein and a few add-ons. Optional toppings are available for $1.75 each. We ordered the miso tonkotsu and the spicy version. We LOVED it and thought it was super comparable to authentic ramen places in the lower mainland! Definitely come and try them out! The ambiance is super casual. Good for large groups as they have plenty of seating. Unassuming yet tasty. Only thing is that it's located in a part of Surrey where there's a lot of homeless folks roaming around the area. One even walked in and stopped by our table asking for money, but the owner was able to (nicely) shoo them away and apologized to us after. Apparently that guy wanders in from time to time, but there are usually cop cars in the area. We went on a Saturday night, so just beware of this in case you experience it too.

We ordered from this place quite a few times. Really great portions with a variety of South East…read moreAsian and East Asian cuisines. My favorite from here is the Nasi Goreng, it is so flavorful and amazing. We ordered Roti Canai and the Malaysian curry with it, the Tonkotsu Ramen was also pretty amazing. They have huge portions for a reasonable price. Really great!

Ramen Bella is a good spot to visit for nice big bowl of ramen…read more I of course had the Red Hot and my daughter had the Ebi Ebi. According to my daughter hers was excellent and I have to agree the broth was rich and tasty. The Ted Hot was good and just the right amount of spice. We also ordered the karaage and the flavour was good. I bit too much fried for me. Prices are good and the place is clean.

Short Review: The…read morehomely but Japanese-inspired decor is nice for this restaurant. They followed all COVID-19 precautions, and It's a fair price for a large bowl of ramen. I ordered the "Red Hot" ramen, and I can't say the soup base is the most flavourful, mainly due to the spice ratio being slightly too much, but it's tasty nonetheless. If you live in Port Coquitlam, this place is worth a try. Long review: Ramen Bella recently opened up its second location in Port Coquitlam, and took over the Mexican gourmet that used to be there. This restaurant has got a great atmosphere, although it's quite quaint and still keeps the old tiling from the Mexican establishment, it fits it nicely although I can't say I feel like I'm sitting in an underground ramen shop in Shibuya. All staff followed COVID-19 procedures, wearing masks and practiced social distancing to the best of their abilities, they disinfected tables and chairs after people left and overall made the dining experience feel safe. We ordered, and our food came to us in less than five minutes, Igot the red hot ramen, and I gotta say it was pretty good. Usually spicy ramen ends up just being spicy and totally overpowering the broth flavour. I can't say the ratio was absolutely perfect, but it was a lot better than most other places. The portion size was great, but I'm not sure how I feel about bok choy and wonton crisps in ramen. The noodles tasted like good quality ramen noodles, but not home-made at the restaurant. This was quite minor but my soup didn't really come out to me piping hot, and more just hot in some spots and warm in others. I trust that it was a mistake considering my lady friends bowl was totally hot though. The gyoza we ordered with our meals was quite tasty. The pork and chives filling was what you'd expect for a restaurant like this, and the size of them was eatable in about two bites. These were super hot, so let them cool off for about a minute before you dig in! Overall if you live in the Tri-cities or Port Coquitlam, this is your best bet for ramen if you don't want to travel out to Vancouver. I think they should change the soup base to spicy ratio in the Red Hot bowl, to give it a little more flavour. Overall, this place has a lot of potential to be great, but for now, i give it a 3.5/5.
