The burgers were most interesting, not like burgers from almost anywhere else They are artesian burgers ! They were good but expensive I want to go back and try the schnitzel and paella !

We visited Uli's on a winter's Saturday for lunch. We had no reservation and the restaurant was nearly full, so definitely consider making reservations at busy times. We sat outside in their semi-enclosed seating area, which afforded quite a nice view of the water. Service was prompt, which was impressive for how busy they were, and the staff were very professional. Top marks. We had mixed feelings about our food. Uli's specialty is high quality ingredients, and the menu reflects a Germanic influence (with a separate menu of Spanish specialties). Seeking to avoid heavy sauces, I went with a Vienna Schnitzel, which is breaded thin pork. It was impressively moist, and though it looked quite exotic, the flavor was very subdued, surprisingly so. I was hoping for a bit more flavor, though it was perfectly prepared. It came with a side of potato wedges, which were very tasty, and a small salad which was very fresh though overly dressed. She had a vegetarian patty on a home baked bun, which she pronounced very very good, though just a bit spicy. Her sides were French fried potatoes and the aforementioned salad. She was absolutely delighted with her meal, and would definitely come again.

What a great place to go! Our server was outstanding, and honestly made the night far more memorable. We enjoyed all the food from the appetizer to the entrées... Great cocktail selection, as well as ice cold IPAs... The setting, with the view is part of the charm of this place. A repeat place for sure.

A beautiful day and a beautiful meal. That's what our trip to Uli's provided us as we met up with Michelle and Myron who were also in the Vancouver area. Always so great to catch up with family and in a cozy and quaint setting where we could here each other talk. It's just what we love in the Sos home. After our lovely server took our order, we sipped our Canadian ice teas which are a favorite of mine and caught up on the last little while. Suddenly the smell of food floated over and we remembered how hungry we were and out come the right sized burger and fries. Chloe took most of the fries from me but I enjoyed the burger. Similar in flavor to my wife's recipe which I absolutely love. Myron did not enjoy his schnitzel. Apparently overcooked and rock hard. Melanie loved her salad with grilled chicken added on. We didn't want to stay long as the waterfront was calling us so we settled the bill and headed across the street to the pier. Loving lunch in White Rock!

Service is not bad, but kitchen speed is very slow, took more than 20mins to get our orders (not many people on a Friday lunch time) Food is really disappointing, mussel meat are so small that can't believe they even serve it. Totally not worth it. Ambiance is average, don't think I will visit again.

Charming little bistro in beautiful, downtown White Rock, BC. imaginative, varied menu with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. We stopped in for lunch and were rewarded with delicious food and an amazing view of Semiahmoo Bay. Ordered the Reuben sandwich and the chicken Brie sandwich. Both came with choice of frites or salad. The chicken sandwich was served open faced. Reuben was served steaming hot. Fresh, satisfying and filling. Limited outdoor seating available too. When you're done, cross the street to stroll the White Rock pier.

    Lots of fries!

Uli's is a nice long-running establishment on the White Rock strip, adjacent to the boardwalk. We went here on a busy Sunday brunch so the kitchen and the servers were having to work a little overtime. Waited about 20-25 minutes for our food and had to follow up twice for our bill. Our server Olivia was the nicest though and she was definitely doing her best and kept things friendly and professional. Shout out to Olivia! We didn't really get to interact with the other servers but as they passed us by and everything, they all sounded pretty stressed and overwhelmed and had to lend each other a lot of emotional support through the lunch shift. I get it though - it's still a pandemic and it hasn't been easy for the restaurant industry. I really enjoyed their Caesar cocktail - probably one of the best I've had! They use a local BC spicy vodka. The Big Mac inspired burger was good! Love how they have a en extensive burger menu. I had the vegan jackfruit bowl - huge portions! The saffron rice was so flavourful and comforting. The jackfruit was cooked nice and crispy. I'd definitely consider coming back and bringing friends here.

    Great place to celebrate!

This is a real gem with a fantastic view! You want to try the Oysters Rockefeller, Neptune Schnitzle (any are good), the Duck, Paella!!! And if they have their fresh Gnocchi make sure to order for an appy and sha

Came here for drinks and mussels. They were both really good but wish the mussels had more broth to dip them in. There was barely any.

You'd never really pay a lot of attention to the building, coming up on it from the street (I couldn't believe it when she turned into the parking lot, thinking she must have had some errand to do first). She had to lead me inside along the speakeasy passage to the tunnel, it was so dark. I thought it was styled very fun and cute when my eyes recovered and adjusted. I wasn't super hungry so I only had the fried breaded pickles and the house battered prawns--both were great, but those prawns were something else. They were some of the best things I've ever put in my mouth--ever! Perfectly cooked, huge and moist and so flavorful. Their cocktail menu is great with lots of choices--we loved our drinks. We also loved Athena, our bartender and server, who had wonderful suggestions for us and was just wonderful in so very many ways. I so want to go back!

We were just in town for the day and hungry after tromping around the beaches all day. Is it always really busy? Hopefully- it's delicious. We took a walk down to the pier and back while we waited for it to open and beat all the crowds. We both had the fish and chips, which came with fries and coleslaw. I've never seen fries cut like this- as if potato jojos/wedges and twirly fries had a brain child?? Tasty though! The fish was crispy on the outside and I loved that it came with lemon AND there was malt vinegar on the table (and it came with tartar sauce too!) Perfect triple combo in my opinion and I didn't even need to ask. Coleslaw was great- not too much mayo or celery seed or anything weird. Just a good scoop of salad. I ordered scoop sauce on the side and it wasn't my favorite because I am the weirdo that doesn't like ketchup. If you like ketchup (and a touch of horseradish!) this is your sauce! It was creamy and balanced and it's popular.

I usually love Earls and this was my first time trying this location, which made the experience even more disappointing. Food and drinks took an excessive amount of time, and when the food finally arrived it was cold and bland. Drinks took close to 40 minutes with only one bartender working, and dessert was brought out after we had already settled the bill. Staff communication was not professional. Boyfriend ordered a beer and I had a ginger ale as was still going through sugar withdraw after our recent trip to Egypt and Jordan where I indulged in multiple daily fresh fruit juices. Appies were solid and consistent. I ordered the Sante Fe salad, one of my faves, and it was delicious as always. Was a bit full so had to pack some of the salad to go. If I had known I would need to pack leftovers home, would have asked for the crispy tortilla straps on the side as they do get soggy overnight. Boyfriend ordered a pizza but could only enjoy one slice before we got full. We also had to pack that to go. Service was slower and less attentive than usual, probably due to the busy season and packed house, but still fine.

We came super far out to Sandcastle for the 10 pin bowling. It was a super fun place. There are things that this place should consider improving: -The bowling balls were very dirty-- -We showed up on a Friday night at 8:30 pm and we were told that there were no lanes available until 9:30 pm. We asked if we can put our name down and we were told that its not doable. We were very confused. The staff there then told us to wait and then we were told there is a lane available. -The laser was faulty and didn't count the pins that were knocked down correctly -The ball got stucks a couple times and it took them 20 mins to fix. -Food was so so here but again they are not a restaurant At the end, we had a great time. There are free parking at front. This place is super busy so do make a reservation. Again, they do have 10 pins and 5 pins bowling. Good experience. They just need to improve the above.
