Stopped by Udon at Aventura Mall's food court while I was on a quick break at work and needed something fast. I ended up getting the crispy chicken fingers, and they were buy one get one, which was a nice surprise. They were actually pretty good crispy on the outside and fresh, perfect for a quick bite. I also ordered the miso soup, and it really hit the spot. It was hot, comforting, and delicious, exactly what I needed in the middle of a busy shift. Pro tip: if you're pressed for time, order ahead so your food is ready when you get there makes a big difference during busy mall hours. Overall, it's a solid option when you're short on time but still want something tasty. Convenient, quick, and good value definitely worth stopping by if you're in the mall.

It was my first time seeing and trying this sushi restaurant in the mall. It had quite a few options and I got their salmon noodle roll. It was my first time trying a sushi roll made with noodles and it was pretty good. The noodles were filling but the roll does fall apart pretty easy. Other than that I would try other options from them next time.

I had lunch while visiting Aventura Mall not too long ago, despite our super hot weather i was craving a Ramen so I stopped by Udon.. i followed the staff's recommendation of the Spicy ramen and loved it. Tried it with crispy chicken.. i was impresses by how neat they packaged the soup, the portion is quite generous so it's easy to take it to go in case you don't finish it... i would try it again!

Located in the third floor Treatz food hall, this ramen/udon shop is to the left just past Chipotle. There was no line when we came and were able to order quick and efficiently. They also have boards on the side I believe you can order from. Next to the menu board is a progress board where you can see your name displayed when your order is ready. We got the beef short rib yakiudon which had big chunks of tender beef in a well balanced sauce with some veggies. We also got the curry ramen which had potential. The curry broth comes separate because it appears they make the broth with a paste when you order versus having it simmering all day. The items in the ramen are tasty but because the curry comes separate, not has that soaked in curry flavor. The pork belly with the ramen is solid though. Pricing is to be expected for this mall. Could be worth it but might also be better to go to happy hour at some of the other restaurants in the mall.

the chicken yakisoba was yummy, even tho I was scared to not be sweet, but great, flavorful, and definitely I love their noodles!

I ordered the miso pork ramen and it was basically all fat, with little to no meat. The flavor was not the best either.

The Fried Calamari were HUUUGE and meaty and the flying dragon roll was so delicious, just also had a little more cream cheese than we'd prefer. The service was great, the food came out SUPER quick and everything was made hot and fresh and we almost couldn't believe how quickly everything came out. Multiple servers would stop by our table to see if we needed anything and that was great. Service was a 10/10. The ambiance is very heavily Anime Themed (hence the name) so if you're into that kind of thing this place is like heaven for you. Overall had a great time, food was great, service was great. I will definitely be coming back!

And certainly does ramen right. Manga Ninja hero Naruto Uzumaki's absolute favorite food is ramen, specifically the miso-based pork broth ramen from Ichiraku Ramen. His namesake restaurant stays true to his favorite food and does it impeccably. My go to is the Chicken Tonkotsu with add dumplings. I must admit that I have not tried the sushi and do not plan to because the reviews of it are pretty mediocre. But the Ramen is top notch. The bubble teas are delicious. The vibe is just so cool. I really enjoy this restaurant and highly recommend it for what is the clear winner for best Ramen in the area.

Rating: 5.0 Been a…read morehuge fan of the Iron Chef show since I was a kid and my favorite has aways been the Japanese Chef Masaharu Morimoto! And since experiencing his Disney Springs restaurant Morimoto Asia, I had been looking forward for him to come to Miami. This was a couple of years back during the cooler season in Miami. RESTAURANT: I just know that this location is going to be beautiful. Chef Morimoto restaurants are worldwide and so I was not disappointed to see how beautiful this restaurant was and how perfectly complemented the vibe of the Wynwood scene. The restaurant doors open to the street, which was perfect during our winter visit. Inside is an open floor plan with a variety of seating options from the izakaya style table, banquet dining against the wall, to the huge bar. There are even covered seating outside that reminded me of New York. Decor is both minimal but with burst of colors with his signature wall art and backlit panels against the wall. And ofcourse, it won't be an authentic Japanese restaurant without the a display of hyper-realistic food models which can be found as soon as you enter the restaurant to entice your taste buds. Everything just looked sleaked and clean and love the pop of green from the huge fig trees. SERVICE: Service was amazing. From the moment we entered, we were greeted and seated right away for our reservation. Our server answered all of our questions and suggested some fruity cocktails. And lo and behold, owner Chef Morimoto himself presented us with our food and torched it right infront of us! He was so polite and humble and wonderful. We watched him moved from one side of the restaurant to the other with the endurance of a guy in his 20s and he's like 60 something! He did not stop. It was such a treat to have him in our table and how he indulged us when we chanted "Iron Chef! Iron Chef!". It was an amazing experience. FOOD: The menu have the right amount of options, from finger food to ramen, sushi and not to mention the drinks. For starters, pork belly and soft shell crab bao and bbq ribs. Deliciousness! The buns warm and pillowy. The pork, so tender. But that soft shell crab...that made me want to slap someone it was so good. Flavorful, no fishiness whatsoever, crunch on the outside and just happiness on the inside. I will eat a million of these. Then my friend ordered some Yakitori fresh from the grill: chicken, pork belly, shrimp, wagyu. They were simple, fresh and so fingerlicking good. Then the ramen; tonkotsu and gyukotsu. On this cold evening, it was exactly what we needed. These two huge bowls we passed around our table of six. The broth were divine! The pork belly was so delicate that it melts in your mouth. The beef falling off the bones were so tender and delicious. Sushi rolls: spider roll and the surf and turf. The spider roll with that soft shell crab was bomb. But the that A5 wagyu surf and turf was the star of the show. It comes out as raw slices on a roll and Chef Morimoto came out and torched it himself next to our table! I don't know if it tasted spectacular because it's wagyu or because the chef himself had torched it but this was my favorite! Overall, this was the most memorable dining experience I've had in a long time. I am sure that fangirling over the Iron Chef was the main reason but it seems that everything just fell into place for us that evening. Parking was literally next door in the garage, super easy no drama. Service was next level, maybe because the boss was there but we were not going to complain. And the food, impeccable! Pricepoint is just reasonable considering the quality, quantity and the location. It is definitely worth the trip coming here and I can't wait to visit again soon to see if everything will be the same without the Chef Morimoto around. I have a feeling it will be just as wonderful.

I'll start with a positive: I actually really liked the anime-themed decor. It's unique, fun, and definitely adds personality to the space. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. The customer service wasn't great. It felt inattentive and unwelcoming, which immediately set the tone for the meal. We ordered two servings of crab rangoon, and I was honestly shocked at both the price and the quality. To put it simply it was the worst crab rangoon I've ever had. They tasted like they were deep-fried in old oil, with that heavy, stale aftertaste. They didn't seem fresh at all more like something pulled from a freezer and quickly dropped into the fryer. When I opened them up, there was barely any filling besides cream cheese. I couldn't find any actual crab inside, which was really disappointing, especially considering how much they charged for them. I was genuinely sad about how much money we spent on those two orders, only to be completely let down. I love supporting unique, themed spots and the anime vibe really had potential but unfortunately, the food quality and service just didn't meet expectations. I hope they improve because the concept itself is cute.

Dan Dan noodles had so much flavor, chili beef dumplings were thick and juicy, and the pork and shrimp dumplings were cooked perfectly. However when my fiance asked for a check all we got was one of the handheld devices with the total. I thought it was strange when the server said tipping was optional after the tap, and the options were 1%, 3%, and 5%. Since the food and service were great, I wanted to tip 15%, so I changed it to a custom value and did my own math. However when I got my printed receipt, there was a 20% service fee, plus my custom tip of 15%. Being from LA, when restaurants have the mandatory service fee, they usually tell you at the host stand or after you just sat down. I felt like this place was shady although it is in their fine print on their menu. What the server could have done is said "service fee is already included," after the tap, not "tipping is optional." I did like the service, but the 35% tip was not well deserved. I didn't feel like they went above and beyond and like I said, there's a special type of mannerism that I feel was a huge miss about the service fee, which could of been handled more professionally.
