Shrimp Shumai
Alexa R.

Dined here recently this past weekend, arrived around 6pm and we were the only diners so we had a ton of tables to choose from. The space is so cute and there are even some tables outside. For apps we went with the shrimp shumai & the fried squid which were both delicious. The squid was perfectly fried, and not overly greasy nor chewy. For our mains, we really wanted ramen. You are able to choose the broth, protein and toppings. I went with the tonkotsu broth with pork and all the toppings. I really enjoyed mine & thought it was really flavorful. My boyfriend got the spicy miso with pork. He liked his as well but didn't care for the cured egg. Service was quick, friendly and attentive. Overall, a really great experience. It started getting busier as we were leaving.

It's a cute little ramen place. I got tonkatsu pork ramen, pork soup dumplings and it's delicious. We also got a shrimp tempura and some Vegan ramen and it's all satisfyingly tasty. There were two young Filipino gentlemen's who helped us served our foods and they were very nice. I'm so glad to meet them both and had a little chat. Thank you kababayan! This ramen place serves delicious meals! I would recommend.

Tried Wood One Ramen in Hallandale Beach. The soup dumplings, while house-made, were the tiny dim sum style and just okay. Chicken ramen had decent broth but the breast meat was dry. Gyudon beef was good, but the rice was dried out and sides (dumplings, spring roll) were clearly frozen. Oddly salty broccoli, too. Plenty of other ramen options nearby -- and honestly, I'd rather eat at Shahs of Kebab in the same plaza. Pass.

Super good! Ordered several diff ramen bowls and soup dumplings which were spectacular. Manager made it right when we ordered mild but were given spicy. Will definitely be back to this place again. Delicious and highly recommended.

Hand's down, the best bubble tea in the area within a 20 mile radius! But their food is another story. Lacking in flavor and taste, there was so much to be desired. Ramen was a bit expensive for what you get, and the appitizers weren't anything really the memorable. I really want them to be good because their bubble tea is just the best. But maybe that's another operation run by someone else since it's called Boba Farm.

Amazing food and amazing service. If you're in the area or thinking about coming here you won't regret it!

What a gem Wood One Ramen is! Tucked away in a cozy plaza with plenty of parking right off of Hallandale Blvd, this little spot has a welcoming vibe that immediately puts you at ease. We kicked things off with the pork soup dumplings--deliciously juicy and a perfect match for our Sapporo and classic Japanese ale. But the stars of the show were the Tonkotsu ramen with pork and the savory Japanese curry with chicken. Both dishes were bursting with flavor and comfort. I also loved the boba option! The touchscreen ordering at the door made it super easy, and they even bring it to you if you're not dining in. I can't wait to go back for more!

As a Asian food enthusiast I will say the ramen is amazing. I had the Tonkatsu Ramen and it was very good. Highly recommend. I also had the shrimp shumai was also good but 4 pc for $10.50 is a bit pricy. $21 for Ramen - I would pay that again.

Great Ramen Spot! My husband and brother absolutely LOVE a good bowl of ramen but it's been really hard to find great ramen in Florida. Not many places have ramen on their menu and the ones that do the ramen is simply ok, nothing special... When WoodOne Ramen opened up we were so excited to try it because we had heard so many good things about their ramen and let me tell you - this place has GREAT RAMEN! We were so impressed! My absolute favorite dish is the Tonkotsu Ramen the noodles are delicious and the broth is so full of flavor. This is hands down one of the BEST RAMEN I've had in my life (not just for Florida) and that's a huge compliment! My husband and brother tried the Chicken Paitan Ramen and the Japanese Curry Ramen to try something different and both really enjoyed it. They have other dishes on the menu besides the ramen but the ramen is definitely the best dish on their menu. We usually order the edamame and the Japanese Karaage Chicken as an appetizer and although the fried chicken is good it's not the best Japanese Jaraage we have had (sometimes it's a little on the greasy side) - which is fine we mainly come here only for the ramen. They also have a nice variety of sakes and milk teas on the menu that go really nice with the bowls of ramen as well - if you are a sake fan I highly recommend checking their drink menu. The restaurant itself is small and cozy and has a really quiet calming energy to it. I love watching the sun set through the large windows as we eat dinner it really adds to the cozy ambiance of the restaurant. Overall, the ramen is AMAZING so if you're in the mood for a great bowl of ramen I highly recommend checking this place out!

We came here for lunch, 11:30 am they just opened. The parking in the center is difficult, we had to park in the adjacent lot. I was hoping for a lighter lunch menu unfortunately they have the same menu as dinner. The food was great as always. The spicy miso with pork is delicious, medium spicy. The seafood udon was a smaller bowl, and probably a better choice for a light meal. I highly recommend one of the best ramen soups around.

WoodOne Ramen is seriously so flavorful and yes, this is a bold statement but - the best ramen I have had in south Florida. I usually get the Tonkotsu ramen with an order of shrimp Shumai. The flavors are so fresh and delicious that they make me want seconds or thirds!

*Review from a non local!* Good ramen in the Hallendale area. Quaint shop. Visited at 1:00pm. No wait and all open tables. Party of 8 ordered. Most of us ordered the tonkatsu ramen. And a couple of chicken katsu dishes. Ramen was ok. Noodles were a little harder than desired. But the broth flavor was very creamy. Had a unique flavor. Extras in the ramen were great. Chicken katsu was juicy and crisp. Boba tea is served here under the name Boba Farm. That was ok as well. Service was ok. Our server met our needs in a satisfactory fashion. Area of improvement could be attitude of welcomeness, more enthusiasm, and attentiveness. The employees didn't seem that excited to be there or to be around people. They did serve us though. We were entertaining ourselves so we didn't require a server to be at our every beck and call. Other than that, WoodOne Ramen was an ok choice. Our friends said they would visit again to try another dish.

Chicken Katsu Curry

I frequently come here with my partner as we both love the aesthetic and the food. It is a rather tiny restaurant so be prepared that during busy times you may have to wait. They do offer the option to order your boba or other items outside on a tablet which is convenient for crowd control. The servers are always really quick to seat us and take our order. Showing the upmost patience to newcomers who might not know what to get. The boba is always the first to come out, but as far as the wait for food it is never long. We got the Tonkotsu Ramen, Popcorn chicken and Chicken Katsu Curry with some boba. All came out in a timely manner, looked absolutely gorgeous with presentation and the taste was great. We come here often because we love the food and the service.

Really good noodles, especially with the egg on top and pork belly. The bubble tea is good too if you're into that sort of thing

The food was good no complaints there. Everything we had tasted fresh and flavorful, so they definitely got that part right. But the service...was a lot. It took forever for someone to even come take our order. Once they did, it was about 20 minutes just to get our drinks, and around 45 minutes for the food. They took our food and drink order at the same time, but everything still came out really delayed. When they finally brought the drinks, we added another roll we wanted to try but after waiting about an hour, we ended up telling them to forget it because we were just over it at that point. I will say, you could clearly see the staff was trying. All the ladies working there, including the host, were really hustling and doing their best. Our server even apologized and explained that two people had quit in the same week, so they were short staffed which makes sense. Overall, good food but the service needs improvement. I'd be willing to give it another try, hoping the experience is smoother next time.

The menu offers a solid variety of options, and the staff was friendly and helpful when it came to narrowing down choices. I went with the Neptuno salad, which turned out to be a great pick--fresh, well-balanced, and satisfying overall.

Unfortunately, the service this time was so rude and unprofessional that it ruined the entire experience. From the moment our waitress approached the table, she appeared irritated and impatient. When ordering drinks, my husband asked for an unsweet tea (the raspberry-style tea they serve). I asked for the same tea with sugar packets. She insisted it was "Thai tea," and I corrected her--multiple times--clearly stating that I did not want Thai tea, just unsweet tea with sugar. Despite this, she brought me a Thai tea, a $6 drink and with ice $7, which I did not order. Before I could correct it, she rushed away. The tea happened to be good, so I let it go rather than make a scene--something I now regret. When she delivered our appetizer, she dropped it on the table without a word. No explanation, no courtesy, no acknowledgment. The same thing happened when she brought our entrées--food was placed down silently and abruptly, as if we were an inconvenience rather than paying customers. When my husband ran out of tea, she finally returned and said, "Oh, would you like tea?" Then immediately asked if we wanted our food, clearly rushing us. Meanwhile, the cleanup crew repeatedly tried to take our plates while we were still eating, creating an uncomfortable and hurried atmosphere. The worst moment came at checkout. I handed her my debit card, completed the transaction, and still left a very good tip, even though the service was poor. She looked at the screen and said, "This is for the tip?" I confirmed it was. She then yanked the payment machine out of my hand, pulled the card out, and threw it on the table. That behavior is completely unacceptable under any circumstances. I stood up to address the situation, but my husband encouraged me to leave instead. I have never been treated with such open disrespect by a server. The food may be good, but no meal is worth being treated this way. Management seriously needs to address this level of hostility and lack of professionalism.
