WOW!! I had low expectations because its a restaurant in a mall; however, our Spice lunch here was…read moreFANTASTIC! First, let's talk aesthetics. The interior is gorgeous! I would call the look Dark Zen. it was very relaxing, and unless you were seated in the front, facing out, you would not know you were in a mall! Great job creating a little oasis. Spice here is a great deal because their regular menu is very pricey. We started with the crispy spicy tuna (moi) and the tuna pizza. The crispy spicy tuna was perfection! They executed one of my favorite treats really well. The tuna pizza came loaded with fresh tuna; however, it was drizzled with the dreaded TRUFFLE OIL so buyer beware! For mains, Larry had the braised short rib, which came with pad thai, and I had the jhap chae. I was dithering between the jhap chae and the salmon salad and ultimately went with the noodles because a) noodles and b) salmon salad seemed a little basic. However, I did spot the salmon salad on someone else's plate and it did NOT look basic. The jhap chae was nicely umami and studded with regular mushrooms. Very satisfying! I sampled the pad thai that came with the short rib and thought it was a little sweet. For dessert, we had the banana wonton, which came with a side of a tart sorbet. It was the perfect finish to the meal. The service was great! The hostess was a little.... unfriendly? However, the server was fantastic; attentive and friendly with good input regarding the menu. Since Spice has been extended through the end of October, I would definitely book a second visit here!

Tried Pubbelly Sushi at Aventura Mall and OMG it was actually really good!!…read more What I love about this place is that pretty much the entire menu is shareable which is exactly what we did! Ordered a little bit of everything so we could try different dishes. First of all the Chicken Fried Rice... OMG! Worth coming here just for that alone! And The sushi was super fresh and delicious. But those Pork Belly Bao Buns?! Absolutely mouthwatering! Soft, fluffy buns with that juicy flavorful pork. SO GOOD! And the Pork Gyoza? YUMMMM! Another favorite! Everything we tried was packed with flavor. Definitely a great spot to come with friends, order a bunch of dishes, and share everything. I had to send it back my passion fruit lemonade because it was way too sweet and tasted just like cocktail mixer juice. Also keep in mind that the sodas don't come with free refills. But honestly the food itself is absolutely worth coming back for! I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

I've been wanting to try Pubbelly for a while, so my husband and I decided to stop in for lunch…read morewhile we were at Aventura Mall. The restaurant was surprisingly quiet, with just a few occupied tables, and it wasn't busy. Our server was friendly, attentive, and genuinely apologetic throughout our meal. I actually felt bad for her because our food took an unusually long time to come out. It clearly seemed to be an issue in the kitchen rather than with the service. We ordered two specialty rolls: the Navarro Salmon Roll and the White Hot Roll. The White Hot Roll came out first and was excellent. It featured hamachi mixed with a garlic aioli, wrapped in soy paper, topped with tuna and hot red peppers, with a drizzle of wasabi ponzu. It had a nice balance of heat and flavor, and I'd definitely order it again. Unfortunately, the Navarro Salmon Roll finally showed up 30 minutes later. I'm not sure what caused the delay, especially since the restaurant wasn't busy. I was also disappointed that the menu didn't mention the salmon was cooked. I also didn't realize that kanikama is imitation crab. Those ingredients re not for me, so I wouldn't order that roll again. To their credit, our server handled the situation very well. She was kind, kept checking on us, and brought us complimentary guava and passion fruit ice cream to apologize for the wait, which was a nice gesture. Overall, the experience was a bit mixed. I'm not in Aventura enough to make a trip back here, but I will try the Boca location.

Good Flavor but Limited Value…read more The Pad Thai with chicken delivered excellent taste and balanced ingredients. However, the portion size felt modest for the price point, which affects the overall value. The ordering process is done through kiosks - the self‑service model does not align with the tipping prompt that appears at checkout. Pros: * Flavor Quality - The Pad Thai had excellent taste, with well‑seasoned chicken and a consistent texture throughout. * Preparation - Ingredients were fresh and cooked properly, contributing to a reliable dining experience. * Efficiency - The ordering system is straightforward and allows guests to move through the process quickly. Cons: * Value - Portion size was small relative to the $20 price, reducing the overall sense of value and my rating * Service Model - Guests place their own orders, yet the system still prompts for a tip, which may feel mismatched with the level of service provided. Udon delivers great flavor but the portion size, amount of protein and value considerations keep this visit at a 3.5‑star rating.

My daughter enjoyed it. I ended up with her Shrimp Fried Rice. This was sort of flavorful. It would have been better if there was more flavor. There were a lot of tiger shrimp but they were small. This portion of food overall was large. I ordered a Coke that was real tasty. They give free refills on fountain drinks and I appreciate that because so many places do not. We each got the coconut and yuzu flavored ice cream. I wasn't sure about the flavor and ended up not eating much of mine. The lemon flavor was kind of off-putting for me. I tried this place but probably won't go back.
