Zagg has been great at protecting my devices as well as honoring their warranty. Today, after Apple refused to replace the cracked screen on my 10 y/o's iPhone 6+, I stopped by the Zagg kiosk to have the cracked glass shields on my 11 y/o's iPhone 6s+ and my 7+ replaced. I noticed a sign that said they also replaced cracked screens so I asked about the service. The technician explained that if he replaced the screen Apple would not look at the phone. I indicated that was fine since they refused to replace the screen anyways. He said it would take about 20 minutes. We returned after 30 minutes to a fixed screen and a very excited and happy 10 y/o.

We first took it to the Apple Store, where the technician inspected the laptop and quoted us nearly $1,000 for liquid-damage repair and replacement of the entire keyboard assembly since we did not have AppleCare+. That was even more than what we originally paid for the MacBook! Unfortunately, after the Apple Store inspection, the Shift key stopped working completely. We then found this repair shop nearby, and they were able to quickly identify the issue and replace only the individual key component for much less. The repair was fast (~20 min), affordable, and effective. We are very happy with the service.

After unsuccessfully going through several YouTube clips to try to solve the problem, I went back to "Russell Cellular" (deceptively says "Verizon" on the bldg) where I bought the internet/phone package. They told me to delete and reinstall all the apps and if that didn't work they would replace the router. So I reinstalled everything - no go. Went back to Russell Cellular and a new person told me that I was SOL - nothing they could do to help and I would need to go to the "FIOS" store in Waltham. Frustrated but determined, I went to that store (which turned out to be just another retail outlet called "R Wireless", also with just "Verizon" on the sign). They told me that "there is no such thing as a FIOS store" and that they couldn't help me either. They gave me an 800# to call. When I called the 800# (offshore somewhere) the guy solved the problem in about a half hour through a video session. The Smart TV had to be hard set to 5GHz to prevent downshifting to 2.4GHz which caused all the problems. Why does it have to be so painful to get simple answers at Verizon "affiliate" stores. Can't you just train them with the basics of good customer service instead of "oh no we can't help fix your problem, we only sell stuff". I hated xFinity's greed and arrogance with billing tactics, but at least you can walk into a store and get answers.
