We had a great experience with this repair shop. My wife's MacBook Air had a sticky left Shift key after some liquid was spilled on it. We first took it to the Apple Store, where the technician inspected the laptop and quoted us nearly $1,000 for liquid-damage repair and replacement of the entire keyboard assembly since we did not have AppleCare+. That was even more than what we originally paid for the MacBook! Unfortunately, after the Apple Store inspection, the Shift key stopped working completely. We then found this repair shop nearby, and they were able to quickly identify the issue and replace only the individual key component for much less. Did a really good job on my macbook pro. Had a solid state drive installed in place of my super drive. Works great and was pretty fast. They also refurbish older Macs and resells them. My next "new" computer may be one that I purchase from this place! They can even repair your motherboard! So, DON'T take your mac to Apple unless you're under warranty. MacBook Clinic offer component-level service, so they can fix almost any issue. And they'll only fix the broken parts, unlike Apple who will try and sell you a whole bunch of bulls*** you don't need. If I could give more than five stars, I would! I spilled water on the keyboard of my MacBook Pro last week. Slowly, the keyboard stopped working, and many of the keys became scrambled (they typed things other than they were supposed to type). I brought it into AhaTron. They replaced the keyboard and had it working like new in a matter of hours and for a VERY reasonable price! They saved me from having to buy a new computer. I will always take my business to Macbook clinic! He is a very honest and trustworthy. I brought my son's iPad in for repair as it was not charging whatsoever. I was expecting a call to let me know that the Ipad has been repaired by changing the charging port or something else along those lines. But boy was I wrong! He called me a day or so later to let me know the Ipad was fully charged and ready for pick up. When asked what was wrong with it, he simply said the port was dirty so I cleaned it up. When I arrived to pick it up, he refused to charge me any money for his time diagnosing it. Could have easily claimed he changed the port or something else internally and I would have had no idea. Unfortunately my son's IPhone was broken to such an extent that it didn't make sense to get it fixed. My experience with MacBook clinic was awesome. Communication was prompt and regular. Despite a decent amount of time being spent diagnosing the problems I was not charged. Based on this experience I will certainly go there for any computer/IPhone issues in the future. My MacBook was not powering on, I went to the apple store and was told it would be about $500 to have it sent out and repaired but if it was liquid damage it would be more. I came to the Macbook clinic and Ahat took a look at my mac he said it was liquid damage and it would cost about a quarter of what the apple store would have charged me! This place is awesome! I went there because my MacBook Pro had a pixel issue resulting in me not being able to use 1/3 of the screen. Ahat was able to fix my Macbook Pro right away (20 minutes) by exchanging the screen and it looks like new. I only paid $390 for the screen and labor, which is a lot less than what the Genius Bar quoted me. I will definitely be going there again if my Macbook is making trouble again. I hope it won't happen any time soon but it is good to know that Ahat is very competent, rates are reasonable and they are able to repair a MacBook within minutes (and I don't have to wait 2 weeks to get it back ). read more

I can't say enough amazing things about MacBook Clinic. The repair technicians are not just Mac experts but they are kind and personable. What was one of the experts involved in my repair, he is such a wonderful person. I had a huge coffee spill on my MacBook, most repair places turned me away saying it could not be repaired. The Apple Store quoted me a ridiculous amount, more than the laptop is even worth. MacBook clinic fixed my laptop seamlessly. And for a fraction of the cost quoted to me from other places. I wasn't able to pick it up immediately and they had no problems holding it for me for a week. And they happily accepted payment via credit card. In the past I've taken my Mac to the Mac Store at the Mall if I need a repair. I end up going without my Mac for several days to a couple of weeks as they've needed to send it out for repair. This time I went to MacBook Clinic in Framingham and I am so happy I did! I will continue to return here in the future if I have a problem. The owner is friendly and personable, and gave me an assessment of the current problem and said he would call me the next day when it was ready. He let me know the same day that he had fixed my computer and I could pick it up tomorrow! There was no charge if the problem wasn't fixed, but he made sure I saw that it was fixed before I left the office. The cost to fix was reasonable. I've been advised in the past my MacAir is "old" (2015) and therefore hard to fix, but he deals with older as well as new versions of Macs. I highly recommend you check this business out the next time you have a Mac problem. It is highly likely it can be fixed on site rather than being sent out. read more

Spilled water on a MacBook Pro and it shutdown immediately and then wouldn't boot up after some drying time. Some corrosion formed on the logic board. MacBook clinic fixed the logic board for a good price, much cheaper than Apple. They did what they said they would and kept us informed along the way. While doing my own repair on my laptop, I managed to pull a connector off the motherboard. Although I was trained as an electrical engineer and I'm comfortable with soldering, surface mount technology is beyond my skills. I contacted Macbook Clinic via Yelp and got a prompt reply. After a couple messages back and forth with Marjan they gave me a quote and said if I let them know when I was coming, they'd make sure the technician was there and they could possibly fix it on the spot. This morning I called, made a plan and brought it in. Ahat opened it up, assessed the problem, gave me a sense of the options and an updated quote (very reasonable). He thought he might be able to fix it that day, which seemed unlikely to me due to the complexity - but two hours later I got a call that it was ready! He was able to fix the broken solder pads and reconnect them with jumpers (not something I could possibly have pulled off without damaging the board). On top of that, he showed me a very cool video of the repair process! I could not be happier. These guys are fair, expert, and honest. I will be going back for all future laptop repairs (which, sadly, have become a given due to the poor quality of laptops these days). read more
