Let's just say I will never purchase any major appliances from Best Buy again. Salesman was AMAZING…read morehe helped my MIL with her purchase and she had SO many nice things to say about Mr.Osman who was the young man who sold her the beautiful LG washer that she picked out, she can't stand for long periods due to her health and this young man brought her a chair and gave her a water and made sure she was comfortable. She chose the delivery and install and so we waited and the washer came she was so excited and then the bad news came and they said "OH NOPE WE CANT INSTALL YOU NEED TO REPLACE YOUR PIPES UNDER THE SINK" they didn't even look at the old washer to see the drain hose and water hook up were right there still connected to old washer. So they left and I called Best Buy and explained to them what happened and they were confused as to why they left without installing the new washer and so I told her that they said we need to call a plumber and replace our pipes and she said ABSOLUTELY NOT ITS JUST A SWITCH OUT so she sent 2 guys out yesterday and they were supposed to be prepared for hooking up the new washer but again it was the same thing the first thing they asked my MIL was where is the pipes? So they look and the main guy says NO WE CANT INSTALL BECAUSE THE DRAIN HOSE ON NEW WASHER WONT FIT So I said take your Washer and give my MIL her money back. The price was great the washer was beautiful but the delivery people made Beat Buy look pretty bad so they left and left the washer to be picked up on Friday So out of curiosity i said to myself after they left "I wonder if I can hook it up" im pretty hands on so I disconnected the drain hose and I sized up the one on the new washer and they were the same size and BOOM DONE I CONNECTED IT AND C LAMPED IT HOOKED IT UP! Why don't they just do it themselves? Why such a big fuss? Never again... oh and I was able to fix our washing machine with the help from troubleshooting and putting in the dial code I reset it and now it's working perfectly fine again.

    Iron Mountain - Northborough

This review is related to their data center services specifically. On the whole, this business is…read morewell done. I manage equipment in many of the big data centers, including Equinix (San Jose), Digital Realty, 365Main (San Francisco), MAE-West, Switch/NAP7 & Information Sciences Institute. Nobody has quite the extent of security I've seen in Northborough although 'Switch' data center in Las Vegas is a close 2nd. SECURITY = INCONVENIENCE/FRUSTRATION: That security comes at a price. Iron Mountain mandates a background check be completed before customers can have access to the datacenter without an escort. Escorts are only available weekdays from roughly 7am eastern time until 4pm eastern time. Accessing your equipment outside of those hours will incur a charge since they have to obtain an on-call "smart hands" staffer to come serve as your shadow. The people at the Northborough facility who act as chaperones are quite nice and they're even willing to help you with cabling & lifting as you setup your racks. Pro tip to new co-lo customers: be aggressive about completing the Background Investigation or it'll take months to get unescorted data center access. Iron Mountain does not track your background app process. Urge them to send you their documents and fill them out immediately. You must fill out a Word Doc followed by an on-line application. Once those are complete there's still another two weeks waiting time for your BG check to complete. THE SERVICES: This facility has plenty of redundant power, both to the grid, by way of diesel generators and built-in UPS battery backup (no need to bring your own UPS!). They can provide whatever power plug and amperage you want in your cage/rack and you can even request an assortment (e.g. NEMA L6 30 Amp 208v, NEMA L5 20 Amp 110v). Bandwidth & latency function as expected. I see roughly 80ms round trip times between Santa Cruz, California & Massachusetts. Having only been with the company 3 weeks at the time of this writing I can't speak to the reliability over the long haul. Given their power redundancy I'd assume their data redundancy is equally thorough. COMMUNICATING IS DIFFICULT: Any time you need something, they make you go through the trouble ticket system. This form only allows 2000 characters which is not enough space if you need to paste several long URLs or a configuration snippet. The web form itself requires an awkward 5 minute ordeal getting logged in, selecting all the right pop-us and being told after the fact your message contains too many characters (2000 or more). The worst part is they tend to close the ticket without any confirmation from the customer that the matter is handled. When they do this it means you have to open the exact same ticket AGAIN to ask the same question or make the same request. They have NO CHAT offering whatsoever. There's no Slack channel, no Google Hangouts, no Skype, no Twitter. Microsoft Lync is only available when one pre-schedules a meeting with the team. This is 2017. IMO, we need to be able to type interactively with people. Aside from the communications disaster above, it is a decent business. If you don't mind filling out web forms and using the phone a lot, they're A-OK. I'd recommend them to anyone setting up servers in the central Massachusetts if an option like EQUINIX was not available.

THIS REVIEW IS FOR EMAIL AND TELEPHONE CUSTOMER SERVICE/SUPPORT AFFILIATED WITH RECORD STORAGE (AND…read moreNOT NECESSARILY ON-SITE PERSONNEL, WHO CAN NOT BE REACHED BY EMAIL OR TELEPHONE). Inattentive, inexcusably long response times, missed deadlines for pickups/delivery, serial billing errors which repeat without improvement or progress, compartmentalization between email and phone customer service (neither of which are effective), long hold times and phone calls typically lasting over 40 - 90 minutes, minimum, to resolve (or not resolve) simple, avoidable issues. An email regarding a delivery scheduled for later in the same week might be answered three weeks later. Poor triaging, poor management/mismanagement, and no accountability. Frustration guaranteed. Costs for retrieval of records are astronomical and insurance is not provided. Though it's quite counter-intuitive, a better option would be to hire/pay a trusted party/colleague to secure a "regular" local storage unit and to access records as needed, with generous compensation for their time. If you go with Iron Mountain, you will end up paying much more, for staggeringly poor service and quite a bit of your own professional time lost.

At Goddard School in Northborough, they have a patient, positive and encouraging approach to the children. The entire school works as a team, a well structured unit, if you will. It's very refreshing to see! I have peace of mind knowing my child is safe and well cared. In the same token my child is actively learning and enriching his mind. My only wish is enrolling my child here sooner. Thank you Dipak, Beth, Ms. Sylvia, Ms. Katie and the rest of the team for shining bright with the children! You're all amazing and wonderful child educators! Our family is forever grateful.

I feel obligated to leave a review because their 5 star rating on yelp was one of the big factors…read morein us choosing this daycare. We had a really hard, frustrating and short lived experience with this school. My son (4) joined in June '21 because we'd moved too far from the daycare he'd been at since 18months. At first sight, the school seemed like a good fit. The owner, Dipak, gave us a tour and he seemed nice. We didn't meet the teacher prior to enrolling because I'd heard such amazing things about other Goddard locations. The problems started Day 1. I called to speak with the teacher reiterate that my son shouldn't take naps, and that he needs encouragement with the potty. His teacher was incredibly rude to me. Told me that all the children nap, basically tough luck. We communicated this with the director, Beth, (who as an aside, Is a super sweet caring lady we really liked, if only everyone else there was like that), and we worked out that we would send in a little bag of toys every day to have my son play with during nap time. We don't think it worked, he was never tired at the end of the day, and more than once he told us his teacher told him not to tell us he slept. (Who knows what's true with a 4 year old but when he wouldn't even fall asleep during a car ride at 9 pm, we felt pretty confident he was napping.) Next was the TV- we asked him what his favorite part of the day was and he excitedly told us "when we watched the episode of Peep and the Big Wide World." I was shocked, I'd never heard of a school playing show for the kid. I was told it's just during transition times and said it was fine but obviously a surprise and not our preference. Then a few weeks later my son started telling us "How come you don't let me watch shows at school?" Or "Miss Ornela lets the other kids watch shows but not me." He started regressing in potty training and still to this day tells us about how mean the teachers were when he had accidents. At a pick up, my partner asked if he had an accident and in front of our son, his teacher very harshly and abruptly said "it's not an accident, this kid simply isn't potty trained." He came home one time in tears so hungry, telling me that the teacher wouldn't let him eat his snacks (he still had snacks in his lunchbox). I personally saw how the staff spoke to the children at pick up and got a weird vibe. Lots of harsh commands, short tempers, something was off. And we tried to communicate all or most of these issues with management. Beth certainly tried her best to help, but the owner never did. And nothing every changed. He only lasted the summer here before we moved him to a Montessori school in the next town. Just 2.5 weeks in, he's falling asleep at 7:30, loving going to school, has had no accidents at school, is eager to go every morning, and even had some good speech progression (his new teacher helped him finally say Fs). The saddest part for us is he keeps telling us how awesome it is that "the teachers at the new school are actually nice."
