Tristan answered all my questions in language I could understand. I'm not tech savvy. I had a problem with the charging port on my phone. Ultimately, we need to order a part to fix it, and I purchased a wireless charger to use. All personnel were polite, helpful, and knowledgeable. But a special word regarding Tristan. Do not recommend this location at all!! Do not use this store and instead go to another distant location! I own the Samsung Z flip 5 and unfortunately had an LCD failure on the screen within 3 months of owning the phone. I contacted Samsung and since the phone was under warranty with no physical damage, they told me to choose a UBreakiFix location to replace the screen. Originally since it was only a couple hour fix, I choose the Pittsburgh location since I was bringing a family member to the airport. But they had warned me if no parts were on hand, they couldn't release the phone until they ordered parts, received them, and of course finished fixing the phone. All at no cost to me! So, I decided to take the phone back home not repaired and take it to a closer location...this one in Akron. The store on Arlington refused to fix the phone under warranty claiming Samsung would say it was physically damaged. I had to pay the $380 some dollars for a new screen! I was amazed because Samsung had seen a photo of the phone, said it was warrantable, I did not drop the phone or drop something on it, and the biggest red flag was why did the Pittsburgh store say they could fix the phone under warranty, but the Akron store could not?! Needless to say, I refused to pay the nearly $400 charge and walked out with a messed-up phone. I decided it was worth my time to drive back to Pittsburgh and use the store there, and wouldn't you know it they were able to help me get my phone fixed for free under warranty! I firmly believe this location in Akron was trying to make money off me since these stores make the most off battery and screen repairs. The biggest question is were they going to charge me their fee for replacing the screen and then still run it through warranty and make yet more off me and my device? Do not use this location, I promise a drive to another location, specifically Pittsburgh is worth your time!! read more

First, for anyone just wanting the basic gist and point: In short; don't bother goin' to this location (putting it nicely). For those who don't mind reading a bit of a prattle-on: About roughly two months ago, I scheduled an appointment with uBreakiFix through the official Samsung Repair Service. I have a Samsung Galaxy Z-Flip 3, and like many with this same device? The factory-applied built on Screen Protector had begun peeling away from the screen, and slowly cracking apart with several scratches. I was lead to believe via Samsung and other venues that the only way to fix the from-factory screen protector was to go either here or to a certified BestBuy for repair. I showed up on the day the repair was scheduled, and the gentleman in the lobby struck up a conversation to see what I needed. Despite showing SPECIFICALLY the screen protector was damaged? He tried convincing me without question "Nope-- Your whole screen is damaged, you need an entire screen replacement! Sorry about that." Upon discovering the repair would have been roughly $400 -money I didn't have at the time- I had no choice but to leave with no help, and a belief I now had a major repair on my hands. Skip ahead to the other day, when I discovered via public forum discussions on Reddit that others with my phone dealt with the issue themselves? I took a chance, bought a new device-specific screen protector, and as of tonight (night of 10/26/23)? My phone looks better than ever, and indeed I was right: ONLY THE FROM-FACTORY SCREEN PROTECTOR WAS DAMAGED. What very well coulda been my having an unnecessary near-$400 repair was an easy-to-deal-with issue that only ended up being maybe $12 at worst. While I don't wish to "slam-dunk" on the in-the-back service techs who genuinely have done great work for countless other customers, or even the select few customer service reps who manage to do right by customers? To the service reps who could care less about ACTUALLY helping people, and to the Store/Local/Regional Management who fail to correctly do their jobs in enforcing proper training and conduct of the floor staff that interact with customers? Shame on you all! To any fellow customers who took the time to read all of this? If you have even the slightest experience with being technical/mechanical with your hands, or at least know your way around looking up and following a quick video guide? I highly encourage: Do your research, and if a fix CAN be done by your own two hands without risk of damaging your device further? Take the initiative and save yourselves the hassle of either nearly getting/being raked across the coals of high-price repairs, that may very well be cheap and easy to do yourself! read more
