It had an oddly fishy taste when it should've been rich and buttery. It also lacked proper seasoning, so we ended up sending it back. For the entree, we ordered the dry aged porterhouse, priced at nearly $200. We asked for medium, but it came out well done, which was a letdown. The chimichurri didn't taste authentic, and while the signature steak sauce was fine, it wasn't anything memorable. We also ordered a side of bacon, which was decent but I've had better. The chili prawn noodles were another miss. It came with only four shrimp, wasn't spicy at all, and used spaghetti noodles, which felt off for the dish. The only real highlights were the creamed spinach and shishito peppers. Those were solid and you just can't go wrong with it. At best, I'd recommend coming here for the cocktails and the view. The food alone doesn't justify it. I added an extra star strictly because of the service. Shirley was excellent. She was knowledgeable, attentive, and gave great wine recommendations. Very accommodating and genuinely pleasant, which made the experience better overall.

My fellow yelpie Jeannie has been raving about their duck à la pressie for ages and we finally organized an outing so she can share her love of Tourmaline and the duck with us. Thank you Jeannie. The duck in itself deserves an award. You can tell that Yvan the head chef and owner has put so much detail into creating this magnificent dish for his customers. From picking the perfect farm to order the duck from in PA, to purchasing the machinery for churning out the sauce from the bones and internals of the duck, to incorporating different aspects of duck preparations from different cultures (French Normandy, Chinese roast duck) and teaching to Daniel in the city for some tips. You know Yvan has put his heart and soul into this one dish. I love how this dish is prepared table side by the chef himself with so many different stories and presentations. He starts off the duck with a serving of the perfect tot crispy skin served with his seasonal sauce. We had rhubarb. We were the stars of the room with everyone envying us. I can't recommend this experience enough. Worth every penny! In addition to the duck, we ordered some apps, salad and a fish dish. The seasonal cocktail Noveau Peach so refreshing and delish and dessert wine was a perfect accompaniment to the desserts. The atmosphere or the restaurant was cozy and high end. Lots of couples on cute romantic dates. The owners Yvan and Rebecca are the sweetest. I met Rebecca at our building bbq that they catered and she was just so lovely. Mentioned to her that we were going to see her the following week and she remembered me. Definitely check out Tourmaline. A true gem in FH and so happy to have them here.

It was perfect for our wedding of about 50 people. We wanted our wedding to feel very intimate, and Tourmaline was the perfect space for that. Our wedding day was magical, in large part thanks to the efforts of Rebecca, Yvan, and the staff at Tourmaline. First, the food was absolutely amazing. My husband and I are both foodies, and all of the food served at our wedding exceeded our expectations. Our guests also raved about the hors d'oeuvres. Additionally, Rebecca was so attentive to my husband and me throughout the reception. We really felt taken care of. We are so happy that we chose Tourmaline for our wedding, and we wholeheartedly recommend hosting your next event there.

It shines as both an exceptional izakaya and a destination for uniquely crafted ramen. This isn't your standard sushi-and-teriyaki spot. The izakaya menu is full of inventive small plates you'd be hard-pressed to find elsewhere. I can't recommend the yakitori, tuna tacos, Chicken bun, Nike Sobu and chicken wings enough. Each one is a flavorful, expertly prepared start to the meal. But the real showstopper is their signature mazemen. This broth-less ramen is a revelation, tossing perfectly cooked noodles in a rich, savory sauce that clings to every strand. I asked ofit could be made without pork and the obliged makingnit with chicken instead. The depth of flavor is mind-blowing and offers a completely different ramen experience I hadn't encountered before. If you find yourself anywhere near Northern Boulevard in Queens, this place is an absolute must-visit. This is a place that always satisfies me with its savory. It is a fusion of Japanese, Korean and American. The MAZESOBA is always al-dente. They provide you with vinegar on the side for you to adjust the spicy level. After you finish the noodle, put that bowl of rice so you may consume all the wonderful sauce inside the bowl. How can you resist to not coming to here again and again. I also just realized that have a long beer list of Asian draught, and it's 4 bottles for the price of 3. How nice is that? Huh!. The service here is kind of snow. I came here on a quiet Sunday and two waitress seems busying at something which left my wife and I waited at the door. Oh! They have a patio behind the dining hall. So those two waitress were actually working hard back and forth the whole restaurant. I guess hiring more people would made the experience more delightful. Well... I will come back definitely for sure. Calvin

They seem to go the extra mile when it comes to creating a celebratory atmosphere. Service was excellent from start to finish. The staff at reception and at the table were attentive, friendly, and welcoming. Food-wise, we tried the Kung Pao calamari and wagyu meatballs after seeing other reviewers rave about them, but both felt a little gimmicky to me. Our group mostly stuck with more traditional brunch items, including breakfast burritos and omelettes, and those were fine. Overall, I would not necessarily come here just for the food, but I would recommend it for the atmosphere, service, and special-occasion vibe. It is a great spot if you want a pretty setting, good hospitality, and plenty of photo-friendly areas.
