We started with the calamari, which was delicious, and even the bread they brought out was so fresh and warm. For dinner, I got the spicy rigatoni and added shrimp, and it was absolutely amazing. My date got the short rib pappardelle and loved his as well. We finished with the cheesecake, and this is where I have to give a huge shoutout to our waitress, Amanda. She was incredible from start to finish -- attentive, sweet, charismatic, funny, and just genuinely made the whole experience that much better. When we ordered dessert, she told us she was going to find us an awesome, big piece of cheesecake and asked which drizzle we wanted -- raspberry, chocolate, or caramel. Naturally, I said, "Give me all the drizzle," and she immediately said, "You got it." When she came back, she told us she didn't think she was able to find us a big enough piece, so she was taking the dessert off the bill. Meanwhile, we were looking at the cheesecake thinking the portions were completely fine! It was such a sweet and unnecessary gesture, and the cheesecake itself was delicious. The Harrison already has great food and such a nice vibe, but Amanda really made the experience memorable. She's the main reason I wanted to go out of my way to leave a review. I'll definitely be back!

They brought out homemade aji verde sauce and it tasted really good on the cyprian b.e.c. Honestly it tasted good on everything. Our favorite dish was the gyro bao buns. They also have a cocktail menu and we were thoroughly impressed! We ordered espresso martini, ELA Parcero!!, and aqua chile martini. They were delicious! The service was excellent and we want to come back for dinner next time.

She was friendly, attentive, gave good recommendations, and worked seamlessly with the rest of the staff to make sure everything went smoothly. The restaurant has a great vibe with a bar, indoor and outdoor seating, and a nicely decorated back room that was perfect for our group. It's clean, spacious, and was surprisingly busy for a Monday early night. We also found out they have great specials, including $1 wings. The spicy margarita was a hit amongst the group. The drinks were good, and my favorites were the Brussels sprouts and calamari. The rest of the group loved the wings, and the salad, and burger was also really good. We ordered a variety of small plates and desserts to share, and everything was enjoyable. We will definitely be back and would recommend it. Metered street parking is available outside.

After visiting for brunch today, I'm excited to be able to update my review with a full five stars…read more- Swing the Teapot is officially one of my local favorites! I had the tea experience with Black Velvet and it was just what I needed. I'll admit that the licorice and peppermint were very faint, but it was still a tasty tea and sharing a large pot with my partner, we finished the whole thing. My MIL loved her ginger peach tea, and my friends each enjoyed theirs, one getting his go-to peppermint and the other trying the red raspberry and remarking in how pleased she was with her choice. Lesson learned- if you come here and DON'T get tea (with the adorable teapot, teacup and saucer, all charmingly mismatched) you're doing it wrong. Because I'm weird, I just ordered the Irish soda bread with a dish of whipped cream as a "light" breakfast, and I appreciated that the server humored me to the fullest. My partner had a blueberry muffin that he was super pleased with, probably his favorite that he's found in the area so far. My MIL unabashedly devoured her chicken salad sandwich and the potato salad it came with - usually she's picky so that's quite the endorsement. The avocado toast and burger that my friends ordered all looked fantastic too. Great service, delicious food and tea, and very good prices- next visit will be for the live music!

Their potato leek soup was delicious as was their hibiscus, rose hip tea, my friend had a shepherd's pie, a well made mimosa and apple pie. No pictures of the apple pie, it was devoured in conversation before I could take a picture.

The brisket was so tender and flavorful, and the #13 with sliced ripe tomato, fresh mozzarella, fresh basil, and their famous maple syrup basil pesto was out of this world. It's been six years since I last came here. The food is still pretty good and the service was…read morefriendly, but overall I found the sandwiches a bit overpriced. The menu has very detailed, almost elevated descriptions that make everything sound spectacular, but in practice the flavors don't quite come through, especially the sauces, which are barely noticeable. Our server was flexible when we asked to swap the potato chips for fries on the kids' grilled cheese meal, which we appreciated. However, we were then charged $1.40 for a side of ranch for the fries. I understand they have a range of specialty sauces and dips that are clearly priced on the menu, but that still felt steep for ranch. They also offer a combo option to add fries for $5, but the portion doesn't really feel aligned with the price. The steak sandwich itself was surprisingly tender, even though it looked like it might be tough. That said, I couldn't taste the roasted red pepper sauce, and the "sweet onion jam" turned out to just be caramelized onions. My mother actually ended up picking them out because she doesn't eat onions. (she won't eat onions that she can see) The buffalo cauliflower was tasty, but could have been crispier. The "serves two" description also felt a bit generous given the small portion. I also ordered a brisket sandwich to go with fries. The coleslaw sounded great on the menu, but in reality the flavors didn't stand out, no real hint of jalapeño, just a fairly standard slaw. Overall, the food descriptions felt more impressive than the actual execution, though the to-go fries portion was more generous, which was a nice surprise. Would I go back? I'm not sure. Maybe for a casual visit with a few beers and fries with an assortment of dipping sauces...I am a sucker for those.
