The potato salad side was delicious and, yes, fresh. The dirty chips were fantastic, too. Not sure why there are so many comments about their prices being high. We felt for what you get for your $, the prices were quite fair. The service was outstanding, as well. The young lady behind the counter could tell this was our first time from us studying the menu board up on the wall so hard. She quickly jumped in offering very helpful, information filled suggestions and recommendations. I look forward to coming back to Boards & Brews if we are ever in the area again.

When I started at ASU back in 2014, I discovered Ike's as I was exploring Mill Avenue. Since then, Ike's has been among my favorite places for sandwiches. Although it is no longer on the menu, my favorite sandwich is the Steph Curry One, which features turkey, provolone cheese, and yellow BBQ sauce. I found out that even if something is not on the menu, they can still make it for you if you remember the combination. Some other sandwiches I like are the Hunter Pence and the Steve Nash. The service is friendly, and they are more than happy to offer suggestions on what sandwich to choose, as they have an excellent selection of sandwiches. I also like the atmosphere. It is nice and colorful, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy your food. Ike's is also a great place to go if you need to eat on the run. Once, I had to take my sandwich to go. Upon ordering it, they had it ready with plenty of time to spare. I also like that they have a rewards program. I highly recommend Ike's Love and Sandwiches to anyone who is looking for a great sandwich on Mill Avenue.

Again, not the worst sandwich, but not the best sandwich. I think next time I'd go with something that had a bit more sauce. Service was great, and there was lots of seating as well. Great variety of chips. And quick in and out.

I moved from Tempe to the east coast in 1999. Whenever I come to visit Arizona, I am invariably asked, "Where do you wanna eat, Jill?" and I always say, "If I don't get some protein cakes from US Egg, there's gonna be trouble." An example of my love and dedication: A few weeks ago I was flying to Portland and I had a 2.5 hour layover in Phoenix. My friends came to pick me up at the airport, drive 1,000 MPH to US Egg so we could get our protein cake fix in, and then they whooshed us back to the airport. That's love, man. So yeah, it is some of the tastiest brunch you will ever eat. I don't care what you order; make sure you get some protein cakes. Yeah yeah, sure, they go fine with a Santa Fe chicken sandwich. Stop overthinking it and just eat it. So in case you don't know what a protein cake is, it's like this: Think of the most delicious pancakes you've ever had. Now replace the crappy white flour with some whole wheat flour so you're not unknowingly killing yourself. Now add a very generous scoop of fresh blueberries into the pancake batter. And now add a significant quantity of almonds and granola. And now add an unholy amount of cinnamon and spices. Notice that it is bigger than your head; notice that you get two of them. And then top it off with about 903 metric tons of butter and real maple syrup. If you haven't found love right there on your plate, then dare I say you have a non-functional tongue. Try the hot skillets, too-- super-good. But everything they have there is really good. Very fresh ingredients, lovingly prepared, good coffee (decent decaf, too!), and served by waitstaff who are in impossibly good shape (ever notice that?). The owners are really great guys; they always make you feel welcome and appreciated, even when the line is long. Speaking of lines, there is often a pretty big crowd on the weekends. Waiting for your table is no biggie; in the cooler months they have hot coffee outside for you, and in the summertime they have water and lemonade. The wait won't be that that long anyway, I promise. STINKY, Smelly, toilet overflowing Gross! Just had breakfast here and upon walking in the whole place smelled like a sewer. After sitting down, a manager walked by and I asked what the smell was. He said they had the carpets cleaned yesterday and the odor was still present. (did they clean their carpets with dirty toilet water????) I asked the waitress what was up, she said you get used to the smell after awhile. Then, I went to the bathroom and found the source. One of the toilets was 'closed' off with a ladder to prevent people from using it. Obviously they had a mishap in the bathroom and 'it' went all over the restaurant. Clean up was non-existent. Place wanted to make me puke. The manager guy kept going in and out of the bathroom -- I guess checking to make sure it isn't overflowing. I should have called the Health Department on the spot. read more

Some of the best breakfast in the Valley... only comparable to it's sister and brother locations spread throughout. Great quality of food, awesome staff, friendly service, etc. etc. You cannot pass up an opportunity to jump-start any morning on protein cakes, or meet for a casual lunch over a cobb salad. This review is rated for this location only. The server was horrible. She let her coworker know loud enough that all of our issues wernt her fault and she's over worked. When I asked her to heat up my coffee she walked away and had someone else attempt to do it. All she did was bring a steaming hot now entire pot to us. Messed the order up. You can tell the omelettes were made in some sort of mold and not on a grill by a person by hand, so seeing as empty as the restaurant was I was confused why it took so long to get 2 basic omelettes. My order was missing my hash browns but whatever. The food was good. I could have made this at home. In all honesty the service and the professionalism of the staff needs to be reevaluated. Touching a belly button ring next to my head while I'm ordering food is actually insane. I wouldn't return... but only because of the odd service. The basic food was good I guess.

The food is AMAZING. And the owner? So incredibly kind and welcoming. You can tell there's a lot of heart behind this place, which makes supporting an amazing local Arizona small business even better. We will 100% be back! Each of these buildings has something to offer, but Lucy's may be the overall best. What makes them special and above the rest, is something so simple and very basic. They actually cook your food and fry your eggs et cetera, as you wait. Nothing is premade. Everything is fresh from scratch and everything tastes good. NIce! I also need to sing their praises of their coffee. Whether it's their drip, or specialty coffee drinks, everything is delicious. I've been coming here for eight months and I have never had a bad meal. I would energetically recommend them to anyone who lives or works in the area. Enjoy!
