So, I have a unique perspective on the customer experience and what it takes for a business to provide consistent excellence in service. The Microcenter store in Westmont is beyond exceptional! The commitment showed by the staff to treat their guests well goes far beyond most typical retail locations. I visit often and feel so valued as a customer. Having been in the industry for so long, most in multi store management, I observe different aspects of the experience when I'm personally shopping stores. And at Micro Center Westmont, I observe a clean, well-organized store with friendly, helpful and knowledgeable team members who have a genuine interest in ensuring their guests are treated well. Far too many positive personal examples from my many visits to share, but the consistency is truly admirable. Now do they occasionally make a mistake or does something not go as planned? Of course! If it didn't they wouldn't be human beings as we all make mistakes, right? But I am so impressed with how hard the team works to correct those issues, big or small. The prices are fair, the price matching policy is very good and the return policies are exceptional. Micro Center is ALWAYS my first choice for tech and it's due mainly to the dedicated staff at the store who go above and beyond. If you've never been to a Micro Center, I'd highly suggest the Westmont location. Like me, you'll probably become a customer for life!

So I start looking around for someone to help me. 5 min passed and not one employee was available to help. Not one. So I decided I'll go find the splitters in the meantime, found one that I needed but other one was evading me. This time I go around the store looking for someone to help me out. Finally gave up and asked an employee to help me out after they finished with their current customer. The kid wasnt even looking in my direction just nodded his head. I had every single item i needed in my Amazon cart, but I still chose to drive here to give them my business. A few minutes of waiting, I just put back whatever I picked up and left. Ordered it on Amazon instead right there in the store. Employees here don't want to help, you can walk miles in that store before anyone will even bat an eye. I don't recommend this place at all. Far from what it used to be.

    OUTSTANDING......ABT ELECTRONICS My 92-year-old mother's TV…read morewas no longer working. My mother is severely disabled and cannot leave the house unassisted. I called ABT and spoke with Lou (his direct # 847-954-4140). I did some research before I called and liked the Samsung 55." 4K NEO QLED, originally $1,297.99, on sale for $897.99. Lou stated, "They had a sale starting tomorrow (Saturday) and that he could sell it to me for $651.00." Great! Lou said he could have it delivered next Tuesday. I explained my mother's situation and asked if it could be delivered tomorrow, on Saturday. Lou said, "I'll make it happen." Now that is exceptional customer service! Josh Hoffman was the technician who delivered and set up my mother's new Samsung TV. Josh programmed the Xfinity remote to the new TV, and my mother accidentally hit something that made the TV verbally announce everything she did. Josh asked if she wanted that, and my mother said no. Josh was quick-witted and a comedian; he had my mother laughing. You certainly can tell when an employee loves their job! THANK YOU SO MUCH, LOU AND JOSH, FOR MAKING THIS PURCHASE GO SO SMOOTHLY AND ENJOYABLE FOR MOM!

I've been in my house long enough to replace the appliances I bought previously. Since most places that used to sell appliances no longer exist, I feel Abt is the lesser of the evils, better selection and employee knowledge than the big box stores. I don't usual have a positive shopping experience at Abt. I'm mostly ignored and always have to ask someone to help me. I only go to Abt when I need to purchase something so it's ridiculous no one approaches me. Luckily my most recent visit was a positive one. I had to buy a new dryer and didn't know which one to buy. Rodolfo Alvarez was the sales rep that APPROACHED me. Rodolfo was kind and a great listener, I told him what was important to me and he showed me my options. He helped me settle on a LG dryer that I wasn't expecting to choose, but based on what was important to me, fit my requirements the best. Another couple was listening in and based on what he said, I think they decided to go with the same one. I felt bad he couldn't help us both since he should have gotten credit for the other sale as well. I told Rodolfo next time I need something at Abt, I'm calling him. Five stars for Rodolfo! I knocked off a star due to all of my previous unpleasant experiences at Abt.

Our file was transferred to the Bolingbrook, Illinois location. We had a lounge seat and couch in disrepair. Month after month we received unfulfilled promise after the other. Yet I spoken with Matt to let him know i be late. Yet this store manager dude harrassed me every day even at work. Although, I was late for the first time you would've thought he would've extended a courtesy. NOPE! Memorial day pushed all deposits til the next day.i explained that to this wanker at 6pm on the 30th. At 8:30 am on the 31st 2 hours before the store opened, hes calling me again. Then he tell me "well if you told us you was having issues, we could've pushed your payment back so you would be charged a $5.00 late charge" Are you kidding me, I thought! You would think being a manager you would let me know. He said- you didnt ask! Dude clearly need some training in customer care and service. PLEASE AARONS PROMOTE THE PPL WHO MADE MY VISIT WELCOMING.     Off the start everything went well, consistent with other reviews…read more Then things got more technical and complicated and went the other direction. Initially I had some speakers installed in my whip, then an amp, then a subwoofer. The crux of the issue was the technical abilities and quality of work from "the Guy" who does the car stereo work/installation - Robbie. I had to go back for consistent re-work, things were not operating as they should, the stereo would turn off when I turned the vehicle off (not consistent with factory settings), the amp was not hooked up correctly, it was overall poor quality work. And after my third visit, and spending 3G's Robbie wouldn't even talk to me or explain what he did, they just handed the keys over and gave me the bill, and the job was still not correct. This, coupled with broken promises from the old man with glasses who promised me he'd knock a hundred dollars off my bill - and he never did. He overcharged me. And furthermore; he tells really bad jokes. I ended up going to "Soundz Plus" in Naperville to correct all of this dumps eff ups, and the professionalism and quality of work compared to Mobile Electronics puts them to shame. If you are serious about having a quality job done in the arena of car stereos I would highly suggest not wasting your money (which I did) here, and go to Soundz Plus in Naperville. If you want a simple job, yeeeahhh, I guess they can do that - but anything beyond was a real challenge. I would absolutely not recommend.
