I stopped at Totan's to replace the DLP set I bought there 15 years ago. I was greeted with a friendly hello and they listened while I explained what I was looking for. They are extremely knowledgeable and explained all the options available. I was then offered the best price on the set i choose. On the day of delivery, Mark and his team arrived on time and began by removing the old set, which was a monster. They then installed the new set and took the extra time to assure everything was working as I hoped it would. They were courteous and professional. My old plasma TV died. Toton's came out the same day, quickly diagnosed the problem and got it working again. Two of my ports were dead but he was able to connect through the third one so I was able to watch again. Unfortunately, when he checked, he found replacement parts are no longer available so I will eventually need a new one. I will definitely consider Toton's at that time as I appreciate the availability of good service. I can buy a new TV anywhere but service is very hard to find. read more

Went into the store with the intent to replace what I thought was a sound bar that gave up the ghost. After showing me the latest products available, Mark then asked me some questions about my current set-up and later offered some tips on how to reconnect my existing sound bar in a different way to possibly make it work. Mark was great. I was convinced by Best Buy guy that I have no option but to replace my TV. I bought top of notch technology QLED 85" from Best Buy in 2018 and paid 3000$. I was very disappointed that till stop working it's 5th year, I talked to few people and they suggested to change the TV including Best Buy geek squad then LUCKILY I found Toton's through yelp and Mark was extremely professional and able to fix my TV including the visit within 300$. Totons tv is what customer service should be like at every business. They have a great selection of tvs and they take the time to show you the features on tvs you are looking for. They explain the different specifications of the product and attempt to give you some education at the same time. They will recommend products you may be interested in but at no time was there any pressure put on you to buy. Their prices are about the same as a Sams Club or Costco. The big difference is they will deliver and install your product professionally. For our purchase, the tv was installed the next day. Mark takes his time to do the install correctly, sets up the tv, and shows you how to operate everything. Mark is very professional, friendly, and is very knowledgeable on installations and his products. We have brought several items fro Totons over the years and they continue to Provide their excellent customer service. Family owned and operated forever, which is a source of pride for the area. Joliet and Will County supports local businesses if they deliver a good product and service at a fair price. It is great to see Toten's still around after 50 years. We have purchased our TV's from them since the 80's and today's install will not be the last. Mark is carrying on the family business and a couple advantages over a big box IMO. First they were able to install the next day, which big box was a month out almost. Second, the extended warranty was for almost all damage except physical, which was reasonable and peace of mind for my parents. Went into the showroom and Mark took me through the lineup of TV's explaining the new technology, which I'm amazed at how much better TV's constantly get. Went it's a 75 inch and got the same price as we would have at Best Buy or similar. Moved our old TV to the bedroom and put in a new bracket, while hiding the wires and setting up the remotes, etc. as stated. With how complicated some tech can be for my parents, they took their time and explained answers to any questions. So in short, if you can get the same price (which you do) and get better service (which you do), why would you not support a local legacy business? As Nike would say "Just Do It". Our TV stopped turning on so my husband called Toton's to have them look at it. They fit us in the next day and two guys came out. They pretty quickly discovered the circuit had been fried from a power surge caused by a storm and there was no let to replace it. They were really knowledgeable about the industry and answered all our questions about the different options on the market. Their prices are identical to big-box stores but I like the idea of supporting local and was charmed by their service. Despite being about 30 minutes from our house, my husband went to the store a few days later to buy a TV from this family-owned business. It wasn't in stock in the store but they'll deliver it the same day they receive it and will recycle our broken TV for free. I recently went to totons for a tv they were very knowlegable and answered all my questions. So i purchased a new 55" sony tv from them. They came to my house and not only installed my new tv they also set up the one i was replacing in the other room for me. I was very pleased with their service. For a new tv i would not use the big box stores. Totons prices are the same anyway. The delivery and set up was also cheaper than the big box stores. What a rip off that place is! I went there to get some capacitors for my tv. They tried to charge me 10 dollars for each with the attitude when you can get them some where else for about a dollar a piece. Wow!! and they advertised that they're the cheapest in town. read more
