On October 20, 2017 I contacted Marc-Anthony Electronics (formerly known as "BigDog TV & Electronics") to schedule an appoint for TV repair service at my home. On October 21, 2017 Rob came to my house to diagnose the issue I was having with my television. After inspecting my TV, he informed me that I would need a new main board to fix the problem. He quoted me $325 to order the part and perform the work. He informed me that I would need to put down a deposit up front and pay the remaining balance (in cash only) when the work was complete. I said OK and proceeded to pay him $150 via the "Square" credit card payment system. The breakdown for this amount was $55 for the service visit and $95 deposit on the part order and work. Following Rob's visit, I had a discussion with my wife where we decided that we did not need this work done at this time. We are preparing to move and are making an effort to save money for this expense so we did not think that spending $325 to fix a TV is necessary at this time. I communicated this to Rob less than 24 hours after his visit via text message. I explained the situation to him and asked for a $95 refund ($150 minus the $55 service charge) since we no longer needed the repair done. He responded "okay" so I expected to receive my refund in a few days. However, as of today (11/16) I have not received my refund or even a return text message. In total, I followed-up more than 8 times with no response. I opened up a formal dispute with my credit card company. Avoid at all costs.

Had to have the police get involved and even the police told the manager the extra charge was ridiculous and not adding up to what it is supposed to. I paid 125$ deposit and was told 125$ owed to pick up. Then when retrieving my television was told a whole nother price the added taxes fees and shipping when my tv was never shipped. The older man seemed confused and like he didn't know what he was even reading and added a 50 delivery fee to evanston when he didn't come to evanston and the lady over the phone already confirmed they don't charge a delivery fee if dropped if to the same place it was picked up which it was. Had to go to the store and contact more police. BY FAR WORST SERVICE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD AND I HOPE THEY DONT GET AWAY WITH THIS WITH ANYONE ELSE! I can only imagine how much money they have finessed gettin over on people this way that have not even paid attention to this! Not to mention got back to the store with the police and they hooked the tv up after they told me they turned it on and it was working fine. Just to discover tv still doesn't work 311$ later. No remorse to fair resolution just attitude entitlement and pure ignorance! Please don't waste time go to a big company who stand behind their work!

While we were in the store we decided to browse the two aisles of washing machines and dryers. We were not looking to purchase these machines at the time. To paint the picture, Carlton and I moved into our recently built home in 2022. We had not felt the need to immediately purchase a washer and dryer, since we had been accustomed to going to the laundromat for over 15 years. However, we knew that at some point we would eventually purchase a washer and dryer, for convenience. While we were simply looking, to analyze which type of washer we would eventually buy, an employee named CATHERINE A. approached us to see if we needed any assistance. At first we told Catherine we were just looking. Without hesitation, Catherine simply stated she was available to answer any questions we might have. Well, not feeling as though Catherine was merely pushing for a sale, we decided to start asking questions about the features of one set of the GE washers and dryers. Catherine was so knowledgeable, kind, cheerful and patient. She was able to answer every question we had. Catherine did an outstanding job of not only explaining the features of the appliances, but also the benefits of the Memorial Day Sale. My husband and I became very intrigued by the offerings of the store. So much so that we wanted to know what everything would cost. Upon request Catherine took the time to give us a complete mockup, to show us exactly what the purchase of the washer and dryer, necessary accessories, delivery and installation would cost. My husband and I felt it was too good of a deal to pass up. Therefore, Carlton applied for the store credit, and was approved. He wanted to take advantage of the 24 months no interest promotion. What was supposed to be a minor purchase for an ink cartridge turned into a $1700+ appliance purchase. The way Catherine extended Excellent Customer Service to us sealed the deal! We do not have any hint of buyers remorse, because we know Catherine was honest and transparent in her communication with us. I know this to be true, because after I left the Homewood Best Buy I actually researched some of the things Catherine told us. I also saw we purchased the items at a great price compared to other retailers for the exact same washer and dryer. I want Best Buy to know they have an outstanding employee in Catherine A, and she gives excellent customer service! If they were to roll the film footage, of our visit, they would see we were in the Homewood Best Buy from 1:54 pm - 3:02 pm. Most of that time was spent conversing with Catherine A, while we learned about the product and the sale, plus made the purchase. I would also like to add that Best Buy contracted with a very nice reputable delivery service. We had absolutely no issues with their delivery and installation.
