We originally had a truck reserved with Budget, who called us 2 hours before our reservation time (that had been made a month prior) to tell us that we would need to drive from West Allis to Madison WI to pick up a truck. They informed us that they do not guarantee reservation time or pickup location. Fortunately Penske was able to step in and save our day. After spending some time on the phone with an amazing representative, she was able to find us a 16 foot truck that we were able to pick up at the same time of our original Budget reservation. I realize we got really lucky, as it was a busy day, but I am just amazed at how much Penske went above and beyond to help us. I will always always go straight to Penske in the future- being able to guarantee a truck for moving day is a peace of mind that everyone deserves to have, and Penske can provide that. The staff at the College Ave location was so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, and really took some of the stress out of a stressful day. When it came time to pick up the truck I was contacted by someone at the Wes Allis location who told me that the truck they expected to be returned had not been returned and therefore they didn't have a truck for me. The person I spoke to gave me an 800 number to contact an inventory manager to find another truck. Upon calling the 800 number I spoke to someone at an overseas call center who took all of my information and said the inventory manager would call me. Several hours passed with no word so I called the 800 number again while looking at my email and discovered that my reservation had been cancelled. No inventory manager ever called me. The person at the call center told me that there were no trucks available and that I should call other rental companies. All of this was taking place while I was planning to be loading the truck so that I could leave the following day. I will not use Budget again and would not recommend them to anyone who I like.

The place I used last year - no longer does it, the place I used the year before - no longer does it. I had to search & make a few phone calls before I found a place. Quick and efficient, the state does not seem to pay facilities to do these emissions testing enough for them to continue from year to year. It pretty much brings folks to establishments, which in turn, brings awareness of the business. My vehicle is not that old, still under warranty. I would love to support this shop, once I don't have warranty coverage. Next time I need emissions they probably won't be doing it. Our state needs to support the effort better.
