Public Storage is a nationwide bait and switch operation that engages in deceptive business practices.. For example, you cannot trust consumer ratings on the company's website which are all collected on the first day of move in and curated by the company to publish only the most positive of reviews. You will note that there is no way to publish an independent review of Public Storage on any of its websites after the first day of move in. Beware of reviews posted on Google reflecting satisfaction with the first day of move because the company facilitates their placement. There is also great similarity in all of their five star reviews raising questions to whether they are generated by individuals employed or hired by Public Storage to place them. Concentrate on reviews of Public Storage over the length of the rental experience. Note the significant discrepancy between Google and Yelp reviews of Public Storage facilities. PS can manipulate Google, but cannot manipulate Yelp. I am a deeply dissatisfied customer particularly because of Public Storage's bait and switch pricing practices. Without stating so, the company lures you in with a rental rate that is superficially reasonable. There is no opportunity to sign an annual contract or to lock in a long-term rental rate. In what I understand to be standard practice for this company, the company arbitrarily announced a 35% rent increase six months after I rented my unit raising my bill from $281 to $381/month. Public Storage claims the rent increase is due to supply and demand as well as seasonal price changes. This is a blatant lie. They are currently publicly advertising on their website an identical unit to mine for $189 a month, a teaser rate to trap their next victim . The rent increase is calculated to squeeze as much extra income as possible out of the renter while still making it uneconomical to hire movers to change to a different facility. In essence, once you store your stuff with them, they have you over a barrel and they will exploit that mercilessly. In another scam, your homeowner insurance likely covers your storage container. But Public Storage does not tell you that in advance. When you arrive with your stuff, they will not let you move in unless you buy insurance from them. Did they tell you that you needed to bring a copy of your insurance? No, they do not. When I objected to these practices, I was told they did not care. I cant say it any easier than 5 stars. Wes III was as professional and courteous as possible. the night I came in was a very busy and bad day for me and I was in a large hurry. I didn't mention it to Wes but he definitely picked up on it he did a great job being very in formidable, clear and quick. It was "in and out" , and he even had time to show me my unit. I can see that this young man is going places in life. in just the short moment of time spent in this young mans presents it was easy to see the drive he posses to strive to be his best in any moment or situation. I really don't like spending time on the internet and it to me a little while to get to the rite page to write this review and I could of just marked his 5 stars but he impressed me so much that I'm taking the time to write the review. lets be honest the job he is doing is not a prestige's position but he approaches it as if I was buy a Manhattan apartment. I don't Know if Public Storage will make full use of this young Man's skill set but I'd be very willing to bet he will some where and have great success. if I owner public storage I'd strongly consider helping him threw college and really try to grow a incredible resource. if everyone approached their job the way Wes III does, we wouldn't be getting our butts kicked in the Global Market by chins and India. read more

We was very assertive, KNOWS his stuff.....showed me how i could BETTER preserve my LIFE in NOT killing myself in packing everything in and how to save MORE money. I had storage for 10 months and paid for insurance. Milwaukee Wisconsin had worst flood ever seen. I filed claim with Sedgwick and they denied me because..... I quote....." Didn't have enough pictures . People lost 1st of my like last year and lost full of furniture clothes cookware etc....... in storage. Dave.Coronado@sedgwick.com. My family has held a Public Storage unit at this location for over 28 yrs. This location uses a security code at the main gate for your safety; along with security cameras that cover every spot of the grounds. The hours of operation are great for getting in and out at your convenience, along with speaking to an on-site manager most hours of the day. The manager, Tamaran was very helpful and friendly. We had excellent service at this Public Storage. Tamaran was very knowledgable, professional and friendly! We feel our possessions are very safe at this location. It will be very easy to access our things as we need to. They require a particular lock, which they sell in the office. No big deal, but we did not realize we would need that kind of lock. Now we have it for any future needs. It's a great lock. I highly recommend this location for great service! read more
