Very rude .. asked if I could have them help me install a hitch on my car. They were very rude to me saying "WE DON"T DO THAT" SOMEONE LIED TO YOU.. etc. They could have at least been polite. Anyway... If I do want a trailer it won't be from these people. Not a good experience. read more

Tom's has been great to us for the last 5 years. We've stored our trailer there for the past 5 years and have never had any issues with damage or anything getting stolen. Family owned and friendly. Would and do recommend to people looking for storage in the area. read more

I have been going here for years but lately I have been just renting small trailers for a fridge or trees etc.... In the past I have purchased trailers which were great. The service is perfect. Their knowledge is amazing. They will help you troubleshoot and know what you need for the job. I recently rented a uhaul trailer of the same size and it was terrible. Clunky, wobbly, didn't seem safe. The same one at Tom's I rented twice and you couldn't even feel it behind my car. What's a difference. Cheaper too quite honestly. Don't even try uhaul after renting here! No comparison. Thanks Tom's. What a great experience! read more

Been storing my trailer there for years. Used another's facility and after broken window and guard was essentially told I had no recourse. Brought it to Tom's. Margo his wife is ALWAYS there. The lot man will handle the parking and placement in our rental spot. I say GREAT and walk away. What more could you ask for.​ read more

Returned a rental that was on the road for a total of 5 hours and when it was inspected the man pointed out a spot on the front that had a ding. My husband said "I don't know how that could have happened" and the guy screamed at him "are you telling me this is not a dent?" My husband said, "I'm just saying was it already there, I don't know how that would happen...you don't have to be such a dick". The guy yelled "that just cost you $200." He went in the office where the woman insulted him and asked what he does for a living...really? What difference does that make? He told her he was the president of a company (which he is) and she further insulted him by asking him "for what? Like a week?" We rent a trailer to haul our grandkids bikes up north once a year. We will NEVER rent from Tom's again. We will share their lousy customer service experience every chance we get. Worst customer service we ever experienced! Dangerous, and insulting employees. I bought a trailer form them about 15 years and went back today to buy new hardware to replace the gates. I bought what I thought was needed but it didn't include the required nuts/bolts to secure, so I asked if she had them and she did. Because she already changed my debit card for the first purchase she told me I had to spend an additional $10 to use the card. Needless to say I didn't have cash and asked her to refund me the first purchase because I didn't need $10 worth of nuts/bolts. She proceeded to get belligerent with me, calling me names, flipping me off and came up to my window which was rolled down and got within inches of my face. Pandemic, or not this is never a way to treat a customer that drove 38 miles round trip to do business with them a small business. In this time of Covid and supporting small businesses I couldn't believe I was being treated like this, especially by the owner. Very disturbing. I will never step foot in that place again and for her to treat a repeat customer this way befuddles and saddens me. And when I called to see if they had the parts and asked if she had Sunday hours; her response was "sir, tomorrow is the Sabbath". Maybe it's time to sell, or retire. It's sad I had to give one star to post this, they deserve none. read more

The reason I'm giving it a 2 star is that the first person I talked to was very helpful when I asked him about new and used utility trailers. After I went out into the lot to look at what they had, i came back inside with more questions. I did not get the same person but a new sales person. At first she was a little helpful but as I asked more questions she came across as if she didn't care I was there and to me she was a real "B"! I should have handed back the sheet of paper I was given by the first person and said if this is how you treat a customers good luck selling any trailers. I definitely would not buy a trailer from them!! read more

Very rude and unprofessional. Rented a trailer 3 Saturdays in a row. From the get go the person I spoke to on the phone was short and sarcastic with me. He was the same in person to everyone he served. The first Saturday the tech let me leave with only one tail light working. The second Saturday they fixed the wiring but I sat there for 1/2 hour waiting.I cut my finger on a razor sharp rusty gate pin and was not impressed with the appearance of any of their rentals. When returning the trailer on the last rental the same person waited on me. I waited patiently for about 15 mins. while he helped a guy find 12 dollars worth of trailer wiring. One story after another and I finally butted in and asked if he could call for an inspection of my rental return so I could get to an important appointment which I was now late for. He asked me if I thought I was more important than the customer he was helping, of course I am not. All he had to do was page the tech/ multi task for 5 seconds but no. This rude man made me wait another 10 mins. while the other customer told redundant stories about his old trailer and pickup truck. 20 mins. to return a trailer. The cheap rental rate is not worth the lack of customer service and poor quality of the rentals. NOT RECOMMENDED!!! read more

I needed to rent a trailer to move my polaris utv. Toms was conveniently located near the Kohls corp. headquarters on west silver spring. They had several trailers to choose from and the daily rate was competitive. Tom (the owner) was professional and helpful . Mike hooked up my trailer and I was off. When I returned I decided to buy the trailer and they took the rental fee off the price. These guys knew the business and made it easy for me to buy from them. I would recommend them to anyone needing a trailer or service. read more
