I just had some work done on my car here after seeing the great reviews, and couldn't be happier with them. Had a case of the scratchy brakes among a few other things, called them on a Monday and they got me in first thing Tuesday. I got new brake pads and rotors, an oil change, and they were able to fix a leaky tire from a previous chain place that botched the valve sensor all for an astoundingly reasonable price. Craptacular service! This place actually put lives at risk. They "fixed" my brakes and it lasted a few hundred miles- then I lost the ability to stop while I was on the highway, I'm lucky that no accident happened and no one was injured or killed. Then, they charged me to fix their fix. That last a few hundred miles and broke again, again creating a dangerous situation. I took my car somewhere else had to pay again to have the brakes fixed but they did it right and it lasted. read more

Eric and the staff at Burleigh Brake and Alignment are the nicest in the business. Just because I am a woman, they don't treat me like an idiot. They explain the issue and give me options for how to fix it depending on how much I can spend at the moment. They fix much more than their name suggests. I drive past 3 other shops to get to them even though I may have to walk home (though they have been known to come pick me up in bad weather...) Try them out. Can't say enough good things about this place. I had purchased the girl a new (to us) car a few months back and when it was time for it to pass emissions it was having some problems with the fuel system. The place I normally take my cars to on the South Side had told me they would basically need to replace the entire fuel system in lieu of diagnosing the problem, costing me upwards of five hundred dollars. I took my car to Burleigh Brake on the recommendation of the company I bought the car from and was told that the diagnosis would cost about a hundred dollars. They called me a few hours later after getting my okay and told me that the total, for the fix AND the diagnosis would be $150. I had them do it, the car passed emissions the next day and I haven't had the slightest problem with it since. They were even nice enough to send me a card a few days later thanking me for my business. Could not recommend them more for anything you need done. Honest, quick, and cheap. Great guys. read more

Brake squeal turned into a grinding noise (waited too long). Thought I was going to need front and rear rotors and pads. Turns out only needed rear rotors and pads, and they greased the front pads. Really liked that they didn't try to push me into service I didn't need. Service was very quick and I can tell the difference in braking performance. read more

I didn't tell the staff at Burleigh that my car had been looked at previously and they still came back to me with an estimate that was almost $400 less than the previous one. I live nearby. The first time I went to Burleigh Brakes I had a problem changing a bulb in my taillight. Eric fixed it and declined payment (I gave a ten spot anyways). I' had them check out my Forester before I bought it and today I'm heading over for a flat tire and oil change. The only criticism I can think of, is they need better magazines in the waiting room. I backed my wifes RX 300. lexus into our garage. heard a crash and now a broken lens matched the other one that some one else must have broke..? orderd 2 on computer. took it into burleigh brake and they did the labor and did not complain that I ordered my own. parts. charge less then $50. total cost with my parts less then $150. anouther local garage told my wife cost might be as much $400 iam sure they were planning on new parts from lexus so there est was fair. I'm new to the area, saw this provider was close to my house and had some good reviews. I stopped by to see how things worked, I learned that Burleigh Brake & Alignment required advance appointments for work to be done so I made an appointment to have them take off my summer tires and mount and balance my winter tires. My appointment was set for 10am, I showed up 5 minutes early. I was told (without any form of an apology) that they were behind because the other person he works with did not show up for work yesterday or today. I was told if I came back at 12pm (2 hours later) that he would have me in and out. I showed up at 12:00pm, tossed him my keys and took a seat in the waiting area. I was told at 2:45pm (almost 3 hours later) that he was finished and was charged $154 ($140 for labor, $4.95 for parts and $8.12 of tax). I have had my tires changed from Summer to Winter before and have never paid this much for this type of service. Needless to say when one is required to make an appointment it is assumed that service will be performed at the time the appointment is made or else it is assumed that a phone call would be made to let us know that they are behind and to please come later or re-schedule. At the very least when the customer shows up for a scheduled appointment and you are behind and cannot honor the appointment made far in advance that some form of apology would be made and empathy shown. None was given or shown. The guy was nice enough, he seemed capable and knowledgeable. I got the job done but it took most of the day and cost $154. My suggestion is if you plan to have service done at Burleigh Brake & Alignment that you make an appointment and then call to confirm they are ready for you before you head on over. Might be a good idea to get an estimate too? Needless to say I did none of these things and paid the cost in wasted time and money. read more
