I had to have my front end replaced a while ago and decided on this place. It was my first time using them so I didn't know what to expect. I set up a drop off time and they looked at it the same day. Then they emailed me a great list of things that needed to be fixed, and things that should be replaced soon. The list also had pictures of everything which really helped me decide. They managed to replace the parts I needed in a day which was great since I had to get to work! The prices were more than fair and the work was quality. read more

The entire staff was so professional, courteous and Honest!! They did exactly what they proposed to do. They didn't add any extra expensive or hidden costs!! That was so refreshing after going to so many auto repair shops in the past. They explained everything and really seemed to care about customer service. I will not go anywhere alse and will recommend Felsings to family, friends and future contacts. They replaced 4 new tires, oil change and free overall vehicle inspection. I drove away feeling confident that my car was properly maintained! Thank You Everyone at Felsings!!! read more

Felsing is in my area and a trusted pal from the area recommended it so I inquired via email about oil change prices and appointment availability. Matt replied quickly with concrete information--he was also able to look up my car via license plate and confirm which oil was appropriate. Still via email (which I LOVE), Matt and I went back and forth about scheduling and he said he could get me in before work within that week. He also added my request for wipers. Each time something was added or changed, an estimate was provided and I had to approve it. This part is significant because price is always out and open--whenever I have a car expense, I ask my partner and dad to review and they thought Felsing was fair. Day of my appointment, it was evident I misunderstood what "before work" meant (car could be dropped off but the work not fully complete by the time I'd need to leave for work). I was so embarrassed and Matt was so kind--he even helped arrange my ride to work! I've never been offered that help at an auto place... Felsing will for sure be my go-to oil change spot! read more

Always great service! Professional, honest and quality work. I always trust them. Been using them for over 25 years.

The muffler and pipe to it under my son's car came off unexpectedly. I called Felsing and not only were they able to take his car that day, they had it fixed and good to go the next day. They are reasonably priced and have excellent customer service. They were friendly and explained everything clearly in a way that I could easily understand. It was a bad situation made easier by their excellent staff and mechanics. We will definitely be using them again if/when the need arises. read more

A family business stands for nothing anymore. After just moving from Chicago, I was concerned, after trying a few other shops, that we would not find a neighborhood mechanic as thoughtful and as good as the one we had in Chicago. I thought we did but I was wrong. These guys pretend to be a family run operation from the neighborhood but they are just like every other shop. Stack the appointments up, jam the work through and bill as much as possible. Just try and ask them for a favor or anything extra during a visit and you'll feel like you just asked them to lend you money! My Dad was a car mechanic for 30 years and I can't tell you how many times someone would pull up unann read more

These guys were quick, efficient, and honest. All I need was a little air in my tires, and I was very pleased with the price! I'll be back. read more

I stopped at Felsings after work today because I could not get the hood of my car open and asked if they could possibly assist. The team at Felsings went above and beyond! They were able to get my hood opened and worked on the latch for about 30 - 40 minutes until it opened as it should. Once they hood worked properly, I asked what I owed them and they said that it was nothing, I was so surprised. I did give them something for their time and effort and will most likely take my car for service in the future. You rarely come across a business that is happy to help, friendly and professional and Felsings was just that. read more

Felsing Service/Gary and Joel saved the day. I drove home and got a bolt in my tire. In 15 minutes I had an eye appointment about a mile east of Felsing Service. Long story short I was going to cancel eye appointment and Joel said they would give me a ride. They dropped me off at eyes place, fixed my tire and picked me up! What service; thank you, Joel and Gary!!!! read more

I just needed a tire patched and they did it within a few hours of my phone call. Great customer service and fair pricing. I normally go to my dealership for everything but I will consider Felsing first next time. read more

Good service from trustworthy people. This is what I need from my "car guys". They helped with a quick shot of air in my tires for a slow leak twice and have always helped navigate the care of my vehicles. read more

Pete and the mechanics did a outstanding job on my 350z. I am very picky with people servicing my car and happen to choose the right shop and people. I hit a curb, my tire blew out and thought my suspension was dead. They explained everything clearly and turns out I just needed new tires and an alignment. I thought I had to spend more than I expected but they saved me. Their prices are reasonable and service are honest. This is my new favorite shop! read more

Was a customer for years. Took our car in ...asked for a tuneup. Told them NOT to run diagnostics...husband knew we needed a tuneup. Picked up the car...they plugged us in for diagnostics anyway...attempted to charge us Xtra $100. Husband said no. Young sales guy called owner who said to drop the $100 fee. Kid didn't like that. We called about 6 months later for a quote for a repair. Was given an outlandish quote and a letter stating they didn't want our business. No kidding...this really happened!!! read more

These guys are about as honest as they come. We've been going to them for 7 years. Once they made a mistake (after all, who doesn't?) and instead of charging me more like they could have, they owned up to it and made everything right. read more

Best auto garage around. Always fair on price and never do any unnecessary repairs. Highly recommend them for your auto repair needs.

This place is the best. Honest, trustworthy, will NOT cheat you. There's a reason they've been in business 93 years... If you are looking trustworthy techs who wont lie to you or try to cheat you like so many places, take your car to felsing. read more

This auto repair shop makes me feel comfortable again when I need to get my car fixed. They are honest, charge reasonable rates and even tell you when there is a better repair shop equipped to do your automotive work (even when they lose the business by telling you). I don't hesitate to trust their judgement when it come to my vehicle. After dealing with crooked repair shops and dealers, Felsings gives me piece of mind. read more

Amazing place. Very friendly. I had a nail stuck in my car tire. When I had gone to another mechanic near my house, they said that they would have to replace the entire tire costing me more than 100 dollars. I went to Felsing's to get a second opinion and they said they can patch it up ! I asked them to go ahead and patch the tire. The gentleman who was working on my car came back 10 minutes later stating that the nail had not even penetrated the tread and had got stuck there passively without damaging the tire. They did not charge me anything ! This is a great business place and I thank them for their honesty read more

The only repair I've had done here was on a leaky tire, but they were prompt, courteous, and upfront (of course, it was just a tire)... I have also called and asked for advice about my ever-lit check engine light and was impressed with their response. The woman I talked to told me that they would be happy to look at it, a full diagnostic could cost up to (but no more than) $120 and take at least two hours, but that many people drive around with it on until the car starts squeaking or acting up. She assured me that while I should get it looked at in the next few weeks/months, it was not dangerous to drive, and driving it would not ruin the car. Again, straightforward, polite, and didn't go for the jugular when given the chance. I'd give more stars, but I haven't yet had any actual engine repair work done there. read more

These guys are great. After work I noticed my brake lights wouldn't turn off. My usual repair shop said "sorry we are too busy to get you in until next week". I called Felsing and even though they were a few minutes away from closing for the night the guy told me "I don't want your battery to be drained overnight. I'll be here for a bit longer. Bring it here and we will try to fix it tonight. If we can't I'll give you a ride home." They did end up having to give me a ride home but the car was ready first thing the next morning for a reasonable price. I was so thankful for their kindness in getting my car in so quickly under the circumstances. Everyone that I interacted with seemed nice. I'll now take my car there for future repairs. read more

I went to Felsing's thinking I needed new breaks and possibly an alignment. When I spoke with Pete that is exactly what I told them. Would have been easy for them to come back and say that is exactly what I needed. Instead they said the breaks were fine and the tires just needed to be rotated. They explained everything very clearly so I could understand, and their service was exceeding expectations. I had never taken my car there, but I will definitely be taking it there for anything I need in the future! read more

When I brought my car in and was told that I needed my timing belt and sensor changed, other people told me I would be out of a car for several days! If anyone is ever looking for a place to take their car for repair, I highly recommend Felsings on the corner of 92nd & Burleigh. My husband took his car in after work late this afternoon because there was something in the tire. They not only fixed the tire quickly, but went above and beyond to get the key back to us before they closed when we accidentally missed their call. This saved us a huge hassle in the morning. They certainly didn't have to go out of their way to do this. I will gladly give them my business any time! read more

I recently brought my vehicle into Felsings because it would not start. I received a call the next morning that the car was running and that they had only charged the battery. She stated that they weren't sure why the the car was running now, but gave me a list of recommended repairs, one being new struts and springs in the back of the car. I knew that a drained battery was not the cause as I had drained the battery myself trying to get it started, and knew that it was probably a fuel delivery problem. I asked the girl who called me what the total cost for new struts and springs on just the back would cost. She stated $1,400. I then asked her since the car was running what the total cost was that I had owed them. She stated $60 for the tow and $27 to recharge the battery, but that she wasn't sure if that was the total as the mechanic that worked on my car the day before wouldn't be in the shop until noon and that she wasn't sure if he had done any other diagnostics or work on the car. I immediately got dressed and went to pick up my car and paid the $87. My question is this. If the mechanic had turned in a detailed report of what he recommended for other repairs on the car,and that he only charged the battery? Why wouldn't he have included any details of other diagnostics that he had done along with the report that he had only charged the battery? About 2 weeks later i stopped at a convenience store, only to come out to the car and it wouldn't start again, but this time there were no lights working, the car wouldn't turn over, and it was apparent that there was no power supply. I opened the hood and immediately assessed the battery to find that the battery cables had never been secured to the battery posts tightly and that I could just lift the positive cable off the battery terminal. A quality mechanic for $27 would have cleaned the battery posts, charged the battery, re-secured the cables to the post double checking their tightness, and have quick sprayed the posts to prevent future corrosion. All at less than a $1 cost to the shop. By the way! After I was quoted the price for the struts and springs. I called my usual commercial mechanic and without telling him the price I was quoted for the struts and springs and asked for a Quote from him, he stated it would cost about $500-600. I told him what Felsings had quoted me and he stated that even if he put the very best high quality struts and springs on it wouldn't cost anymore than $800-900. The choice is yours!!!! read more
