Now as for this business I have utilized their services for most of the past 8 years off and on. The most recent experience is that of a total brake job on my 2018 Chevy Cruze....this at almost 90k miles was overdue. The cost was steep, and it took a couple of visits to iron out the wrinkles. That was last year, fast forward to today... I had an appointment to check the car over for a 2000 mile trip in ten days. They found I had glazed over the ceramic brake pads by braking too lightly. This was happily repaired for no cost beyond the warranty period. The moral of the story is praise people for doing well and bite your tongue should you be momentarily upset. BEWARE: Wrong Oil Viscosity Recommended for Volvo XC40s - Risk of Engine Damage I brought my 2019 Volvo XC40 T5 R-Design in for an oil change and was told it requires 5W-40. I pointed out that the OEM manual specifies 0W-20. The service advisor showed me their system, which incorrectly listed 5W-40. I instructed them to use 0W-20. After dropping off the car, I received a work order email showing 5W-40. They said that was just the initial work order and assured me 0W-20 was actually used. However, the printed receipt still showed 5W-40. Then they printed a second receipt it with 0W-20. The local shop said the corporate office manages all their recommended oil specifications. The before I went to this location I called a nearby firestone on 27th street to verify that Firestone did the type of repair work we needed. A 2004 Honda Odysee AC issue. The man on the phone said they could do it. Next day I went to this locatuon and was told they do not have the necessary equipment andcwhen they do its alot of qork to get it calibrated to do the job. I'm latino. Sent my white wife in to better understand that I'm not experiencing any racism here. She got that they had the machine but it wasnt calibrated. Eitherxan andwer was unacceptable. My husband's car broke down on the highway, and we were able to get it up and running into the closest auto shop which happened to be this Firestone. It was a cold day so we understood that there were a lot of other cars that needed to be seen that day so we were able to get service the next morning which was fine. They called us on the phone to discuss what was needed to be done and when it would be ready. They were overall really nice and explained things well and it honestly came out to be cheaper than we thought it would be. We've had other experiences at auto shops that were not as great, so it was refreshing to be met with people who were straightforward and nice as well. read more

The management at this location is extremely unprofessional--schedules are changed without notice, and communication and respect is severely lacking. He didn't like that I ordered my tires from somewhere else and kept making snarky comments at me for doing that. When I voiced my frustration, the manager threw my keys at me and left my tires outside. I even had to call corporate because of how erratic the situation became. I work in healthcare, so I understand how busy and unpredictable things can get, and I'm not someone who complains easily. But this is not a business you can count on. This location is is bad it's almost comical. Went in for a simple tire and blinker repair. They not only didn't even LOOK at the blinker (then lied about it being fixed and just fine) but they quoted $2500 for repairs that were deemed unnecessary by a different mechanic. Could not be more dissatisfied with this place. Took my car in a few months ago for a brake pad/rotor replacement after my brake light came on and brakes didn't feel secure/were squeaking. After 2 weeks, the squeaking was even worse though my brake light was off. Called and brought my car back in and they said the parts were faulty so they had to replace again. 3 months later and my brakes have not stopped squeaking and don't feel any more secure or reliable than when I brought them in. Was talked to with just condescending attitudes when calling the second time explaining that I was still having issues (as a 24 year old female, maybe that has something to do with it?) and honestly don't even want to bother calling them again as I don't have much faith anything will be fixed the third time. They're always booked for at least a week, they don't take appointments anymore and you have to drop your call and wait all day for a call that could come in an hour or 7 hours - who knows? Even in person there is no "Welcome", there are no smiles. After the work is done no one explains anything they just want you to leave. Just seems like an overall miserable place. I ordered 4 tires on Ebay and thru car advise I would have them installed at any Firestone location and I so happened to have chosen this death trap. The tires were actually delivered next day so I was so happy to have them installed to my dismay they shattered my hopes and dreams when I got there and told me they didn't have anything available til next week. Sadly I had no other choice so I had to wait but that's not the reason of my bad review, understaffing I could understand. Week later passed and they installed my tires but did not install tire pressure sensors on each tire which were supposed to be part of the package and then they wanted to charge 100 per tire extra. They scratch my rim, one of the tires turned out to have a lump (most likely so they could charge me extra, and they tried to change my oil telling me it was bad when I myself recently changed it a week earlier. They are the epitome of crooked mechanics in a national chain store which is sad. I feel bad for mothers or grandmothers who get milked by these a-holes. I used affirm to purchase tires and when I struggled to find the information he was asking for, he accused me of credit card fraud in front of other customers. I may have said "Jesus Christ" because of the shock at how rudely I was treated. He told me to get the F#%k out of his store. I already paid 1500 dollars online and when I called to get a refund, he answered and told me I need to watch my language. When I asked for a supervisors name, he refused to provide it and then hung up on me. I called corporate almost a week ago and no one will call me back. If I could leave zero stars I would. As a young female not from the state 7+ hours away from any family, I would NEVER come here. I had two tires that needed replaced due to having a nail in the driver side front, and driver side rear. I EXPLICITLY stated this multiple times I had two tires with a nail in each that needed replaced. Matthew, the salesman, was adamant on me not staying at the shop? He kept insisting me to "drop my car off because it was going to take all afternoon." When saying no I would just hang around because I wanted to see the tires he told me he was super backed up and it would be all day & it was best to leave and they would give me a call. So that's exactly what I did. Around 12:36 I received a call saying they found nails in my tire and they were beyond repair so I would need two new. Great, I'm thinking I'm finally getting my car fixed. So I get a call around 4 saying my vehicle is done, I come back to Firestone and look at my car in the parking lot before going inside and the SAME rear driver side tire is on the vehicle. I go inside and insistently ask Matthew multiple times for clarification on what tires were put on the vehicle and he told me the driver side front and rear were both replaced and the other two rotated. This was a blatant LIE and I kept being very adamant on the fact the tire on the rear was the SAME tire with the nail. So I paid for a tire I did not need replaced while now driving around for a day and a half on the same tire with a nail and now my pressure light is back on because of the slow leak that was supposed to be replaced. Matthew is a liar and should not be in a sales position, especially after I just paid 400 dollars for two tires that did not need replaced!! Then when pressing Matthew on the fact it sounded like he was trying to lead me to assume the proper fixes had been made when they hadn't he told me that he did exactly as I asked. A lie. He knew why he didn't want me to stay in the lobby because he knew he wasn't going to be replacing the tires requested and they typically bring them into the lobby for you to see the holes, demarcations, nail, etc. Now I'm going to have to make ANOTHER appointment for you all to fix what needed fixed in the first place (which as tire technicians you mean to tell me a nail that is visual to the naked eye from outside or the tire, and you all pull each and every tire off to examine them, and you didn't see the nail in the inner tube of the tire that I already had brought to your attention of being the ONLY reason I was coming in.?) I will be filing a complaint with local management, as well as corporate, as well as the BBB. I would never come here, the employees are horrible, rude, and don't know how to conduct a place of business. I walked into the office get a ticket to get my car in. First, I had to use the bathroom. The older man first said, "hello" which was fine and I greeted him. I then went for the bathroom as he is yelling "can I help you" repeatedly. I then say I have to use the bathroom beforehand. I walk out and am treated with a crazy amount of disrespect and then decide this is not the place for me. I walk out and state that I'm leaving due to the rudeness and have a good day. As I'm walking away, the employee then goes as far as running after me to tell me, "you can never f*cking come here again" along with other slurs. I have never seen a place of professional work do something to this extent. I can only wonder how sh*t that mans life must be to treat others this way. It breaks my heart to write this review as I have been a long time customer of Firestone. If I could give NO stars, this review would better reflect how I feel about Firestone now. Five days ago, I went to this store looking to get my lug nuts retorqued and alignment performed since I had swapped my summer for winter tires the night prior. I made an appointment and was in/out in approximately 90 minutes. Ryan was my technician and I specifically asked them to ensure he retorqued ALL my tires as well as inflate them to the proper air pressure. Last night, driving home from work was horrendous due to a heavy fog which significantly reduced visibility. My commute home is approximately 20 minutes on the highway and I ensured I stayed to the speed limit because I was wary of the fog conditions. After driving about 10 minutes at 60 miles an hour, my car started shaking loudly and so obviously that my steering wheel was tilted. I pulled over to see that my back right tire was hanging on by only ONE lug nut instead of five! I lost 4 lug nuts due to a crappy service performed by Ryan at this Firestone location! Not only could I have lost my life, but I could have changed the lives of others on the road if my tire had flown off at 60 mph! Unfortunately, I spend mega bucks on lifetime alignment with this awful place...however, my life costs more than some less than acceptable service and poor quality work. Therefore, I'm forfeiting my lifetime loyalty to Firestone. I refuse to ever go back to another Firestone again. After nearly 10 years of loyalty from me, all my future oil changes, tire rotations/alignments and other car services will NOT be done at this or any Firestone location. I'm disgusted at the quality of workmanship that was performed by Ryan and his poor ethic will reflect negatively on the rest of his peers. Goodbye Firestone. I came here in March last minute to get a new tire as I was heading out for a two week road trip. Not only did they take me in on short notice, i got a great deal on two tires and they had me in and out in under 90 minutes. I came back today for two new front tires, was greeted quickly and friendly and due to a scheduling snafu, i got free lunch as well. We waited until they opened and did have to wait for them to work on cars that were there overnight, but they diagnosed it within an hour and the fix was simple. Dropped my car off at 10 for a 10:30 appointment to get my rear struts replaced. Received a phone call an hour later saying the struts are 100 bucks more. Said ok. Called them at 4 and they stated the car was not finished. I was a little upset but I didn't want to rush them cause I wanted it done correctly. 6:45 Emily called and said I can come pick up my car. I did a walk around and they did a pretty good of putting the trunk liner back in. The rear struts works great. I don't think there is anything wrong with the repair. Great experience. I just think the time and giving me a different price was a little bit frustrating. But I recommend Jose working on your car. Took a car in that was running fine but had a coolant leak and then the heat went out. $1500, a new thermostat and water pump later it had a check engine light and was running like crap. They told me I'd have to take it to a specialist and it was not anything they had done. Of course, now I don't have the money to take it anywhere else. I had the codes read elsewhere though and its still reading that there is a coolant issue and that the heat's not working. So they didn't clear the codes or didn't fully fix the issue. Either way they completely screwed the car and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have to sell the car at a loss for about 1200 after dropping over 2000 at Firestone for the coolant "repair" and tires within the last 2 months. Yesterday my wife got a flat on her 2011 Audi Q5 and used fix a flat in a pinch to get it home. At night she called and spoke with a person at the Miller Park Way store, explained the situation, and made an appointment to get the car fixed. Upon arriving at the store today she was informed that the tire could not be repaired since fix a flat was used (despite what fix a flat says on their website) and was also informed that 1 tire could not be replaced and that all 4 would have to be replaced since it was all wheel drive (called Audi and they will repair just 1). This detail was never communicated to her the night before when making the appointment. Additionally, I was able to go on the website after all of this happened and make an appointment for 1 tired to be replaced on a 2011 Audi Q5. My issues are as follows: 1. If the Firestone policy is you can't repair tires with fix a flat, that's fine, but ask and be upfront about it. 2. If the Firestone policy is you will only replace 4 tires at a time on a car with AWD, that is fine, but the technician on the phone should know that and so should the online reservation system. To have to take time off work to learn that at the store is crazy. We will now be taking the car to Audi to be fixed and know better for next time. read more

I went in and was told my snow tires were too old to use and were in bad shape and that they would not put them on. The snow tires are roughly 4-5 years old and have only been used for two winters. I went to another shop and they said the tires were fine. They didn't try too hard to to sell me new tires, but they probably got the idea that I wasn't going to buy any, although they hinted. I found myself stuck with a flat tire on a recent weekend and needed somewhere that would be open on a Sunday. Being a frequent shopper on Miller Park Way, I was aware of this Firestone location but hadn't heard much about it. I stopped by, was assisted immediately, and was offered a free tire inspection. After receiving the sad news that my flat was not repairable due to the placement of the evil nail I had picked up, the sales clerk went through the selection of tire options and specials. Knowing that my tires were nearing their demise anyway, I opted to buy a full set and feel like I got a pretty reasonable price compared to what I saw listed with other vendors. Despite not having an appointment, I was in and out within an hour. I was a little confused that the staff notified me that some of my fluid levels were starting to run low but that they wouldn't be able to refill them -- I appreciated that they were telling me without trying to sell add-ons, but I noticed later that they offer oil changes and engine services. Ah well. It was actually really nice not to feel oversold on things here -- no pressure to buy the warranty or additional services, and a staff member willing to compare multiple tire prices with various discount options. All in all, the staff was very pleasant, the lounge was a comfortable place to wait (okay, and so was the Dunkin Donuts next door), and it was a convenient process. 4 stars for service; 3 stars because, well, no one enjoys having to buy expensive tires, right?
