The 1st week of July, I had scheduled a July 18th service appointment (along with reserving a loaner car) for my daughter's Suburu. It needed an oil change, tire rotate and a quick check to see if they could find something obviously wrong that would cause it to go thru a quart of oil every 2000-2500 miles. So at around 7:30-ish on the morning of the 18th I dropped it off and they provided me the loaner (so I could get to work). After not hearing a word from them all day, at 4:30 pm I call to find out if it was done. THEY HADN'T EVEN TOUCHED IT YET! I told them I'd be right there to pick it up. When I got there I was told I should have told them it needed to be done by the end of the day and the reason I was provided a loaner car was in case they weren't able to finish the work in a day. Like I mentioned, IT WAS THERE FOR AN OIL CHANGE, TIRE ROTATE AND A QUICK CHECK FOR SOMETHING OBVIOUS! Now I completely understand how things pop up thru the course of the day causing delays, but the lack of understanding of what it takes for a family to get a car in for scheduled service, never being contacted to re-schedule and then being blamed for their poor communication is totally unacceptable. Great service with employees that are as professional as they are polite. I feel very welcomed every time I come here.

Less than effective communication from sales team about work required and associated costs (much less authorizing it). I'm sure the actual mechanics doing the work are very capable but the communication from the sales team are sub par and in the shops favor of getting more work out of customers (this is after 2 visits for separate work). A new battery is not required to do diagnostic work (especially if the car starts fine) and charging $302 for the battery and the diagnostic work (which was inconclusive) is unacceptable (work with the customer in a case like this rather than gouging them). EDIT 11/16/18: Received call from owner (Philip) to provided a much better explanation of the work done and situation with the car (good communication). Ultimately elected to stop repairs and was not charged for any work done. read more

We had our vehicle in for replacing 4 tires , and some other service work . Everything was done on time , and at a fair price.

Not happy with them at all at this point. I was told I would get a quote telling me what was wrong with the car and the cost of the repair. I knew myself there was a problem with the transmission. They gave me a quote of $5600.00 saying I need a transmission because the computer sent two faulty transmission codes. Well, for this amount of course I am going to check around. I found two other places that are $1000 to $1600 cheaper! And no charge for diagnosing my car! Not only were they ready to gauge me for all the extra money, they are charging me $118.00 to tell me they are. Pretty sad you can't trust anyone anymore. I have been taking my car here for years and have even baked them rum cakes during the Christmas Season. The customer service has greatly declined since Tom left. read more

I just picked-up my wife's 2019 Nissan Rogue after having the factory wheels swapped-out with after-market ones. All worked was performed in a professional fashion and the vehicle was ready quickly. have had tire/wheel work performed on several of my vehicles at Richfield Service over the years. I have been a customer here for more than 10 years and I stay because Tom and Phil are genuinely nice guys who do good work and try to do right by their customers. Overall I have had great service from them, and the few minor problems I have run into over the last 10 years have always been corrected as quickly as possible and in a very fair manner. This past week a young couple came in from out of town to purchase a vehicle from us. The trailer they bought to help complete the purchase was sold to them (by someone else) with four bad tires. Tom went out of his way to find some quality used tires for them to quickly, cheaply and safely help get them home. In a world where it seems like somebody is always out to try to make a dishonest buck, these guys try to keep customers satisfied by doing good work and treating people fairly. Phil Sr. came to us in 1972 ( STAEDLER'S SOD &TOP SOIL ) told us he was starting his new business and gave us his card . We needed a Mechanic , gave him a try and I stayed with Richfield Service until I retired in 2002 . They were always professional and did Great work , always helped out when needed, prompt when called out for service , always did Quality work ! No job was to big or to small for them . Very nice family business, do regular oil and tire rotations and we wait and they tell be how long and it is done within or less of time.

Please beware of purchasing tires (Michelins) from Philip at Richfield. He recommended the Michelin to me and they lasted 1.5 years and were balled, when I was there he said "Michelin has been having trouble with these tires, I had to call Michelin to get 50% off my next pair, no help from them. I asked him why he would sell these to me and no response. I asked him to please stop selling them so the next person does not go through this...no response. So within 2 years he made out well charging me to have 2 sets of tires put on. They also lost 4 of my Toyota caps from my car and I am still waiting for them. They charged me for a tire warranty that I told him I did not need since it is covered under my insurance but they said "oh no this policy will actually fix tires, not just change them...I said ok. The policy comes in the mail and under "not covered" it says will not repair tires...so I asked for a refund and no response. So this is how Philip treats a single women coming in to buy tires...very very said. He puts on a very good front - beware. If he would have apologized and told me he would no longer sell these tires, I would have never posted this. Google Michelin tires and your will see a host of very unhappy customers - they do not make them like they use to. read more
