I've had many good experiences here, and many times over run into things that make me appreciate having found such an honest mechanic. Just wanted to point out a few good things I've come across here over the years: -About a year ago I made the (bad) decision to get my oil changed at a dealership...per usual when my car was ready the guy at the dealership had found a major "issue" with my car, saying that one of my belts was nearly torn and would I like them to fix it? No, no thanks...gave me my keys back and I took it to Tom, whom told me yes, a belt did need replacing, but that was not one that actually ever wore out. He took the belt off and showed me it was actually cut, at which point I'm super fuming angry at the dealership, but Tom was super sympathetic and nice about it. Just kind of concerned and asking me questions; where else do you find someone that cares like that?? -Well over a year ago, I had my breaks replaced and opted for the ones that came with a warranty...flash forward...many months pass and yet again I need my brakes replaced(yeah, I'm that kind of driver) I take my car back to Tom. I was fully ready to pay the full amount for brakes, but Tom reminded me they were under warranty and I would only be paying labor...literally cuts the bill I'm expecting in half. I've brought my car back one other time and ran into this and he easily could've taken advantage of me since I keep forgetting. Many other good examples of customer service come from this place, but I believe these are just the two most recent for me.

Typically as a female when you go into a dealership the person you are met with at the service counter automatically assumes 1.) you're a female so you know nothing and 2.) since she knows nothing, we will scare her to death and get her to pay for additional stuff....oh and then they charge you $100+ just for looking at it, if you don't have them do any work to it. This is so NOT the case at Erv's. All the guys here are wonderful. As in you want to go home and bake cookies for them kind of wonderful. They listened to everything I had to say and then explained why everything was doing what it was and what they would do to fix it. But wait it gets better - my car was throwing a code that said a part needed to be replaced - a $400 part (which of course I Googled and verified it was a legit $400). Naturally my heart sank when I heard it needed a $400 part but they assured me it was OK and they would try a few things first before replacing it. Turns out they were able to fix the issue for $70! They saved me $330!!! Now, yes, I may have to replace the part in the future but at least I can kind of plan for it instead of it being a shock. But if I do need it replaced or anything else I might need you can be assured that I will be taking back to Erv's.

I've moved all my business dealings local since March 2020 due to COVID-19. I decided that keeping my money in my community was important to me. I wanted the local businesses to feel supported and stay healthy during the pandemic. The last thing I want to see, in my community, v is a bunch of boarded up abandoned businesses that went bankrupt for lack of support. My motto has become, "shop where I live!" I try to limit my spending to my County, my zip code, my City, and places where I can't easily walk. It's actually been kind of fun! This place fits all the criteria! The people at this shop are amazing! When a car wash broke my heating vent and the dealership wanted a ridiculous amount of money to repair it, these folks helped me out by finding a used part and saving me some money! I was so grateful! Little things means a lot to me. They've helped me out with other things. Air in my "suddenly" flattening tires. Oil changes when the service light went on and my appointment was later in the day than I could handle! They even called me to apologize for a customer they perceived had harassed me (he hadn't)! What chivalry!!!! I am amazed at the quality of service here! It really just blows my mind! Even the shop dog, Luna, greets you at the door as if she knows to make sure you feel valued!
