To me, visiting a vehicle repair shop is on a par with having a root canal. It's something you really don't WANT to do - but NEED to do. My vehicle was making a noise that was indicative of valve roller rocker wear. Quite common on older Chrysler 3.6 L Pentastar engines. The repair facility I usually go to told me they do not perform this type of work. So I closed my eyes and threw a dart at my local yellow pages and it landed on Manyo motors. And I'm glad it did. I reached out to Dave Manyo and made an appointment. After diagnosing the issue, it turns out that the valve train was not the issue, but a broken flywheel. After replacing the flywheel - and performing additional work I had requested, I picked my van up on the day he promised. Dave produced the broken and cracked flywheel for my inspection. I told him to keep it for his collection of broken flywheels proudly displayed as art on his wall behind his desk. Manyo motors is my favorite mechanic in MKE! They're trustworthy and knowledgeable. They will explain what is wrong and what needs to be done, what can wait, and what can't wait. For oil changes, they are a bit high in price but if you want a deal on those then I recommend going somewhere that specializes in oil changes since Manyo charges for their expertise. What's nice is when you get an oil change there, they often inform you of what might need repair in the future and what to be cautious about so you know what to budget for regarding normal car wear and tear. Love it here and will continue to use them in the future like I have the last 5 years! read more

After dealing with a local Toyota dealer for over a year, Manyo fixed the issue I had been dealing with. my car was hit by a car running a read lite, and I took it to a local Toyota dealer for the body and mechanical repairs. when I got the car back from the dealer there was a arhythmic humming noticeable when over 40mph. After 15 months and many trips back to the dealership to get the issue resolved, I was told by the service advisor that I'll have to live with the issue. I got permission from the insurance company to take it to Manyo, and It was fixed in one visit. they replaced both wheel bearings, that the Toyota dealer claimed they replaced, and a tie rod end. The first time I went there, My experience was OK what I didn't like is the way David Manyo speaks so that may be wrong with your car such as "your tire is a piece of junk".... instead, he could've said your tire has issues or whatever the problem is The second time I went there my car was told to be towed because I couldn't drive it ....it arrived promptly and it sat for two days because they said they had some issues with staff shortage for people being sick, which OK and I had to call him to find out versus them calling me and when I went to finally pick up my car, David didn't have enough professionalism to even speak to me as a customer coming in the door . the female working was nice and professional but what really made my decision is when I tried to question him about what I heard underneath my car after I picked it up, David Manyo immediately became defensive, and when I was trying to have dialogue with him,... he said what he had to say, and hung up on me, so I will never go back there I would never recommend there's another local shop in the area That wasn't equipped to do the work on my car. Therefore, they provided options and it was Manyo motors. and another service station in Brown deer but they recommended the place in Brown deer, I chose, Manyo motors, and now I see why his customer service he's unprofessional, and when I walked in to pick my my car he did not even speak to me as a customer, so I'm done in my opinion I wouldn't recommend them I work hard for my money, and when I have to spend my money and make a choice, the least thing is appreciation because if customer doesn't come in, you're not gonna stay in business, so I would never patronize, Manyo motors again in my life Thank you for asking, and that is my honest opinion, observation, and experience at that place read more

I didn't realize that oil change places no longer offer emissions testing so I came to Manyo Motors after a quick search for Wisconsin DOT approved testing facilities. Manyo Motors offers emissions testing on Tues-Thurs 10am-2pm. There was a mechanic just outside the garage who directed me inside and moments later I was on my way. Seriously, this was the fastest emissions test ever. I can see how getting out of the parking lot could be slightly challenging, I had to do some fancy driving in reverse and dodge some crazy drivers. However, I definitely recommend this garage for a quick emissions tests! read more

Initially I took my BMW into the dealership and received an estimate of $2500 to replace brakes, and tension struts (damn Milwaukee pot holes!!). On a recommendation from a friend, I took my car to Manyo Motors to see if I could get a more reasonable price. My car has 106k miles so looking for an alternative to the dealership. It was a mistake to tell Manyo that it was my intention to sell the car. The conversation immediately shifted to, "how much do you want for the car?" After sharing a price target. I was informed that there were more issues with the car - to the tune of $7500! Then was asked if I just wanted to sell the car for an extremely low ball number and avoid the huge repair bill. So Manyo's estimate was THREE TIMES the estimate for the dealership. Took the car back to the dealership - all issues addressed for $2300. One of the few places close to downtown that can do an emissions test. Usually a long line. I got there at 10:15 am on a Thursday and had about 9 cars ahead of me. It took a little over an hour to wait in line and be done. They were quick and my mechanic was really nice and conversational. I was able to renew my tag on spot as well which was convenient. This place is awesome, and we will be back. We had a nail in the tire near the sidewall. The Manyo Motors staff pulled it out, checked for leaks in that tire and any nails in the other tires, gave us an "all clear" and didn't charge us for any of that, saying that it only took them a couple of minutes. That is serious honesty & kindness, and so appreciated. This may sound like a minor thing, but it is such a stark contrast to a tire shop in Mequon that we are pretty sure further damaged our tire, instead of doing a simple plug, so that they could sell a new tire for $200+ instead of just a $25 repair. Goodbye and good riddance to the Mequon tire place. read more

They did install four new tires with four new valve stem in the morning. Suddenly, in the evening on the same day, one of front valve stems started leaking. It was a Friday evening by the way. Within one hour or so, the full air was out and the wheel was full flat. I was panicked and didn't want to wait three days to fix it on Monday morning from them. On Saturday morning, I fixed the tire from Midas, and kept the receipt. Later I informed this to Manyo and claimed a refund of $65 which I had to spend at Midas. They refused to give a refund to me which was very disappointing. They did not care myself as I did a $1200 business with them for installing four new tires including alignment. This was a shame that they refused to refund only $65 because I didn't take a picture of valve stem!! This was completely unprofessional from such a big business like Manyo. read more

Well Manyo claims to be very affordable. But just the car inspection alone costed me $115. There are many places which inspect people's car for less than $40. Just feel exploited. I took my car to them, expecting for them to fix the right part, that they said what was wrong with the vehicle, but it kept riding the same way, and when I took it back for expections, they told me that it was my struts, which cost way more. I decided to try something other than restaurants so I figured the next best thing was to go to an auto repair place. For cars. I'm to young to be able to drive so at first I found it hard to find something to do here. I started looking at the people that were coming to Manyo Motors. One guy came in and he had this big beard and these robes and stuff. To me this was a very odd clothing choice to wear to a manyo motors. I decided to go up to him and introduce myself. I wanted to see what the deal with the robes were, if it was some religious attire or there's a new rank in the Boy Scouts. I said that my name was Owen. He said his name was Juma. We was talking and I learned he was from a small town in Iraq called Mosul. It turns out he was apart of some type of Boy Scouts type group. He wouldn't get into it and I wasn't about to pry information out of a stranger. He was a very odd dude so I left pretty quickly. He probably got cooties or something, I did get a selfie with him though (picture below). I recommend manyo motors to people that can't drive and like a good conversation. read more
