They then handed us the truck keys and said it's on the parking lot somewhere! Once we found the truck we started the truck and ten seconds later it died! No fuel! None! Told us the truck was a quarter empty but it was literally at empty. And instead of giving us another truck (there were many available), we have to use this truck with no gas. Slow, careless customer service. We had a truck reserved for 12pm. We went in the building to check in and get the truck, but the employee there (man with blue eyes) took forever and didn't explain why and didn't say much to us. After like an HOUR of waiting, he handed us the key to a truck. The truck's fuel tank cap was open, and there was still trash in the trunk's back. We were also confused as to why the tank was empty when the contract that he handed us said that there was 1/4 tank of gas. So, we went back in to the front desk where he was at, and then he walked around the front desk, walked past us and left the building without saying a word. Let me reiterate: We were standing right in front of him at the front desk. We were about to ask him about the fuel, but he quickly left without a word before we can ask the question. He really doesn't belong in a service job since he's selfish, lying, careless, and dead inside. So, we had to wait, until another employee addressed us. read more

This place was terrible. I made a reservation paid for the night before and drove an hour and a half fOr my appointment. Then was asked to come at 2pm. If I wanted to come back I would have made the appointment for 2pm. Watching many potential customers leaving for propane, truck rentals etc because they didn't want to wait in the line. Regardless I was there for about 4 hours. I texted the manager a few times without any acknowledgement. Luckily I was able to get in touch with the President Sylvia who at least refunded me on the installation. I'm perplexed that the General Manager still has not responded to me since I left my cell phone and left him a message on his personal cell phone. Regardless do not waste any time here. I didn't know businesses that operate like this still existed. The funniest part I texted the Genera Manager about the piss poor customer service, but I put a wrong digit and texted a random person and they replied which location of U-Haul so they know never to come here. They installed my trailer hitch about a year ago. I've been back three times now for two issues. First, it wasn't installed correctly so it vibrates on the muffler. 2nd The electrical keeps failing. One taillight stays on constantly. The service is TERRIBLE. You wait in line for 15 minutes then when they get to you, if your not renting, you get relegated to "whenever they can get to you". What a crock. The only positive thing I can say is at least one person was polite. read more

I called and made a phone appointment on 7/20/21 to have a tow package installed on my car (7 pin + brake controller). My appointment was for Thursday, 7/22 at 7:00 am. When I arrived they had no appointment or anything in the computer (on the phone they even took my credit card info). Since they couldn't install on Thursday, I made an appointment for Friday (7/23 @9:30 am) with the U-haul clerk. On Friday I arrived, they had nothing scheduled, no appointment. On top of that, they didn't even have the part in stock to install. I didn't have my receipt with me so I left again (see attached). When I got home to look at the paperwork from my Corona store I noticed the invoice had a New York address. I called the New York number (which took me to a call center in Texas) and they confirmed I had a reservation in Flatbush, New York. They also confirmed the Thursday appointment for New York. I have no idea why they booked me for New York and neither did the call center. He emailed his customer service boss and the Corona GM and told me they would get back to me and make this right. As of 7/27/21 I have not heard back from U-Haul Corona, but I won't be bringing my car in for service. I can't trust my brake job to this group. I do have to say I am sick of terrible customer service. The guys in the shop didn't try to help me at all and obviously both the GM and U-haul don't find any of this worthy of trying to make it right after wasting hours of my time. I rented a trailer online and when I got there there were 8 people in line. And 1 cashier. This translates to a 45 minute wait. Meanwhile 2 employees were sitting outside doing nothing and didn't come to the countries for 30 mins. I finally get to the counter to check in and they say the trailer isn't available and I need to call a number, and when I ask for details they just bark at me to call the number. This place has the worst customer service. The attitude here is "We are doing YOU a favor!" Mostly teenagers run this place and it shows. Said chuckleheads inability to realize that their mumbling is incoherent, especially behind the dimestore face mask, 6 inch thick bulletproof glass, cardboard box defense system and my repeated requests to please try and speak up, take the marbles out of your mouth, I'm trying to give you my money here, only fell on deaf ears? Would have been a 5 star review except for the fact that the truck on had 1/4 of a tank of gas for a 60 mile drive, it would have been nice to have enough gas so I only had to fill the tank before dropping it off at the destination. Very affordable rates for local moving. I used a 26 foot truck for 5 days and was charged under $250 I definitely would use them again.

Needed a new brake controller, they had the wiring harness and controller in stock. The auto part store didn't even have what I needed.

Over all it's pretty much the only choice in moving you have so finding the best prices will be using during the week if possible . Mileage varies. Convenience fees varies from facility to facility... gas , late drop off, ect ... each facility manger has total control over what happens how it happens . But your held to policy abs procedures set that is meant for all to be in one accord. I don't understand that. Insurance I wouldn't pay it their not licensed agents they may use licensed companies but there not so they by law can't ask you to buy. The law has changed in this matter read your rights. There obligated to insure so what your paying is a waste. It's set up for failure. ( speaking from experience) being mindful to watch your charges and any after the fact charges ( citrus off hammner in corona will over charge will place a hold for future rentals for payment unbeknown unto you will pad receipts to cover taking off funds.. this is not an allegation I can prove still no measures of action to correct has been taken ) I use this company when I need over all besides a few bad locations it's ok I've not experienced anything more than a couple of hiccups. Big ... yes but resolution is in the horizon. From time to time ask what if any are there any allegations of conflict in your file.. yes a file imagine that. If so pay attention respond accordingly ( hint your gps , history location will save you time and a lot of Riga ma roe abs take you to solution with compensation . This applies to storage rentals as well . Never allow any one to just tell you anything you know you didn't do or knew about. Be quick to attempt to resolve so to not waste time if you must go further. Horrible experience. Made a reservation 8 days in advance, which should have guaranteed our truck. Scheduled a 7am pickup time since we were moving out of state. The day before pickup, we were told they could not guarantee our truck and that our reservation had been transferred to the Norco location, which didn't open until 9:30 AM, far too late for us since we had a very long drive ahead of us. My husband drove down to the 6th Street location, spoke to a very nonchalant and dismissive employee whose name I wish I had gotten. He sent my husband over to the Norco location. When we got there, the agent could not pull our reservation up in the system, even though 20 minutes prior, it showed up in the system at 6th St. We are pretty sure the guy canceled it instead of transferring it. My husband called the 6th St. location again and the guy played dumb saying he didn't have it in his system either and couldn't help us, even though my husband stood right in front of him 20 minutes prior! Since we had no choice but to make a new reservation, it was $400 more than our original quote and we had no choice but to pay it. We told the guy on 6th Street that we were very upset and would be filing a former complaint with corporate. He was very dismissive and casually said "OK" in a very nonchalant tone. The paperwork for the truck we rented said it had a quarter tank of gas in it, which was more like an eighth of a tank at most. Pretty much empty. My husband took a picture of it. It's a good thing he did because when we returned the truck with the same amount of gas we started with, they charged us $17 for fuel. Once we got settled, we called corporate and got a refund on the additional cost, including the fuel charge. Beware of renting from the 6th St. location. Whatever the name of the guy was that we dealt with was very dishonest. I hope he gets fired. read more

Nothing is great at this location. I literally dread, I mean DREAD when I have to rent from this location. It's as if they intentionally deter renters and frankly I'm shocked they're still in business after several years of having the same expected deplorable rental experience. The trucks come with no gas many times because they have a siphoning issue they can't seem to control in the neighborhood. If you rent using the app, it's pointless! They'll still require you to complete all the steps to rent anything. I've rented from them dozens of times (all of which have been terrible and unfortunately necessary which might be why they never change or have an incentive to change) and they ask me for an alternate number. My wife didn't answer the phone and they didn't want to let me rent the trailer. Now, I drive to Eastvale or literally anywhere else regardless how inconvenient because this place and its entire staff are deplorable. I blame management considering other locations don't have the same issues. In 10 years I haven't had a single good experience here. read more

This U-Haul is the absolute worst in the IE. I rented a trailer from them on Saturday the 29th and gave Cash deposit. Today on the 3rd I reserved the same trailer for all day. The facility not only gave the trailer away but didnt have my cash deposit from Saturday saying the issued a check. I was repeatedly told I could come anytime this week and pick my cash up. Now I dont have my deposit and have to locate another trailer for today. The manager Juan is useless was told to call his cell he never answers and they dont know corporates number read more

I made a reservation online. There was a LONG line inside. The guy who helped me didn't know how to do a debit transaction so I told him I want to pay cash. I paid cash but they still charged my card after I paid and told me the transaction on my card was reversed. They charged me for equipment I didn't order. They were going to give me a smaller truck before I mentioned i upgraded to a bigger size (clearly the person helping was not paying attention to my account info). They would not refund me for the additional equipment I did NOT order until I returned the truck. When I returned the truck, I sat waiting for 10-15 minutes to be helped. The worker never greeted me but asks for my contract. I explained the equipment order and I eventually get refunded after waiting 30-45 minutes. I have never been to this u-haul before and will NEVER return. This place is horrible. P.S. I couldn't use the restroom either! read more
