Korean Style Hot Stone Pot Bibimbap: Got a big portion of food. All the ingredients were delicious. The beef was seasoned very well. The kimchi was good as well, but I wished there was some more variety of banchan. You first order at the counter, then find a place to sit. At the end of your meal, you bus your own plates.

Good portion size for the piece but overall quality was okay. You would come here less for the food but more that you get good value. You get one side dish of the kimchi and they use white rice for their bibimbop. Good balance of ingredients. It was slightly on the lighter side so I added some sauce for more flavor. Service was extremely fast, and there's enough seating for small groups. You bus your own table and get your own waters.

BUGS IN THE FOOD!! We ordered the beef bulgogi, which came with beef and a side salad over a bed of rice. While we were eating, we noticed a fly in the rice, which we picked out and ignored. However, as we continued to eat, we found multiple tiny bugs in the salad. We removed all of the salad and placed it on a napkin to dissect and saw that every single piece of salad had a bug on it. Nasty

What can I say? This place is absolutely amazing! The only downside is that the indoor seating area is a bit small. They do offer outdoor seating, but that's not always ideal when the weather is cold. Now, let's talk about the food. My taste buds were on cloud nine from the very first bite. The vegetables were incredibly fresh, and every bite was bursting with flavor. Everything tasted clean, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. Best of all, the meal left me feeling satisfied and full without feeling heavy or weighed down afterward. If you're looking for fresh, flavorful food that delivers on both quality and taste, this spot is definitely worth a visit.

Been wanting to try this restaurant and I wasn't disappointed! We had their Korean fried chicken, Katsu Bento, and Gyoza! My favorite was their KFC. So flavorful and chewy! It cost $23 and it could be split for two people. Also had their katsu bento and it was good too. The California roll was alright. I enjoyed the gyoza too. A nice appetizer to get ready for the main course! The service was good! Employees were very nice and helpful. The food didn't take long to make at all! The pricing of the food is a bit more on the pricey side though The ambiance of the restaurant was good. There's a decent amount of seating and there's seating outdoors. We went on a sunny day and it was so nice to have a good meal with a great view of the weather.

Really great place! Clean and great ventilation and my chicken katsu was amazing. Staff is friendly and fast.

The tofu bento was great! Very reasonable prices for the portion sizes. The woman at the counter was very sweet. There's indoor, covered porch, and indoor porch options for seating which is nice. Would go back!

Here we have one of many overlooked restaurants on the Ave in the U District solely because it feels like it's somewhat pushed into a corner in the wall by a parking lot that doesn't have cars in it. This place was much better than what I expected! I came here on a Saturday for lunch with a friend. Use the central plaza parking garage on weekends for parking, but failing that, look carefully around for street parking as it does get dicey there. You order up at the counter depending on what you want, and menus are placed near the front door and behind the cash register. They serve Asian fusion dishes here as advertised, including bibimbap, teriyaki, orange chicken and other things. Seating ranges from several tables close to the register to a smaller outside section lined with some tables around the perimeter of the kitchen. It was quite warm outside when I went, so most people ended up eating inside. My friend and I both ordered the hot stone pot bibimbap to try things out. It came with just kimchi as our banchan, which was less than what I would have liked. But with the addition of their sauce and mixing everything up, everything was quite tasty! Nothing overly special to add but I loved how it was filling and the beef was very well-seasoned while somehow having the strongest flavor in the whole dish (which I actually like a lot). I left here very satisfied, and would definitely come again to try their other dishes when I'm around the area!

This was a fantastic find on the Ave! Everything we ordered was wonderful. Beef bulgogi came out sizzling hot, tofu soup was unlike anything I've tasted, and the tempura shrimp was crunchy! I would happily order everything again. The portions were huge, I ate the bulgogi until I was full and still had a great portion left over for lunch. The man at the register was friendly and efficient. The restaurant was nice and clean. Nothing fancy - just good tasting food.

Cozy, casual Interior. Huge, tasty portions. There are Japanese, Korean, and Chinese items on the menu. Katsu Bento ($17.99) - Crispy katsu with rice, salad, gyoza pieces, and California roll. Bulgogi ($16.99) - Flavorful bulgogi on a bed of fluffy rice with salad on the side and a runny egg on top. Located in downtown U- District.

Curry Katsu Bowl and Spicy Chicken Teriyaki Bowl

Delicious food and huge portions ! This Katsu curry is non-spicy and comes with bell peppers, zucchini, and peas on top of the usual carrots and potatoes. The rice was on the stickier side (how I prefer it) and it came out piping hot. You can tell they make it to order bc the curry took a little longer than the teriyaki chicken but overall quick and easy service. There's free water by the register. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, and the cool breeze was a good compliment to the hot food. Tables no bigger than 4 people so not great for big groups.

Really really great restaurant nuzzled into the u district ave. Very comfortable seats and great lighting, decor, and the owners and workers are always nice. Sometimes the tv in the main dining area has cringey 2000s music videos playing, sometimes it has lo fi beats of whatever holiday is coming up, you never know. I find that kind of funny every time we go. The outdoor seating is nice too for warm nights. I always get the hot stone bibimbap and it is very tasty. The most recent time I visited I felt as though it was a little heavy on the rice compared to the meat and veggies, but you can't really beat a filling meal for like $16. I love how crispy the rice gets in the hot stone, that's definitely my favorite part and hard to replicate at home. They don't try to usher you out of the restaurant as soon as you are done with your food which I really appreciate. I don't just go out to eat to eat, it's also a nice way to get out of the house and enjoy the company of your friends and loved ones. I feel like this place definitely encourages that. It has some faults to where I can't say it's perfect, but this is a great restaurant to go to with your friends. You need to pick and choose whether you want to leave having spent $15 or $30, as some menu items are pricey, but that's up to you, y'know?

I encountered eggshells in the soft tofu soup and tough, old-tasting beef. I was sick in the evening after eating here. Will not be back.

An absolute treat in all sense of the word!…read more We made reservations for an early dinner on Saturday, and glad we did because there was a never ending stream of people. By 6pm every seat was taken, including the bar. Highly recommend reservations. We had the cauliflower, squash blossom, squid ink fried rice, and the NY steak. Everything was absolutely phenomenal. The cauliflower was cooked perfectly and had a really lovely smokey-ness to it. The sesame and almond puree and mint oil was divine. Honestly I could have made a whole meal of the cauliflower. The shrimp in the squash blossom was a delightful burst of flavor and texture. The sauces, while quite strong on their own, did not overpower the squash blossom, and each bite could have different flavors based on the sauce combinations. The squid ink fried rice had good textured rice AND the nori seasoning was perfect. I didn't get a lot of kimchi flavor, but it was truly a perfect fried rice- a little salty, you could tell it was fried but not greasy or oily, and a good complement to the steak. The steak was cooked perfectly. Each bite was so tender, and every part was the same level of done. A perfect medium rare. I don't know what they did to the brussel sprouts, but it was one of the best brussel sprout dishes I've ever had. There was a sauce with the steak (maybe dwenjang based?) that added such a nice deep salty and savory touch to the steak. We left feeling quite full, and about $200 poorer. Overall highly recommend. The staff was friendly and informative, interior was cozy and inviting, and the food was 10 out of 10.

The entrées had really beautiful presentation, but the flavor surprise we found in the appetizer wasn't there in the mains. I didn't care much for the salad, broccoli, and sprouts. The kimchi over rice would've been a better pairing, or even a new take on potatoes or different vegetables. The service was good, but not exceptional. For the price we paid, taste should come first. Some of the ingredients and pairings just felt random. Basically, good, but not $230-for-two good.

It is set up like a cute korean style bar with small round tables which make sharing easier. They have a pretty good selection on their menu and we ordered a couple of items to share. The Rose Ttoekbokki with cheese was very yummy, but it kinda tasted like pasta with rice cakes instead of spaghetti. I think that is the point of this dish, so if you want a more traditional spicy flavor then get the other ttoekbokki option (spicy rice cakes). We still loved this one and the rice cakes were so chewy and delicious. The cheese corn was very yummy and exactly what you would expect. It pairs perfectly with the other dishes. My friends also shared the Seafood ramen and Beef bulgogi. They liked both dishes. One of our favorite things were the side dishes actually! The tofu was so yummy, and the bean sprouts were so crunchy and well seasoned. We even asked for extra! The only aspect that makes it difficult to come more often is the price point.
