So here I am, trying out a bakery for the first time via UberEats. This red velvet cake roll was beautifully packaged, I like the box they chose for a single slice. The appearance is cute and pretty upon sight. The cake itself, freaking delicious; It's soft and moisture, topped with this nice frothy whipped cream, paired together with this savory and thick cream cheese filling. And because both of these things are white, it was a very pleasant surprise and interesting contrast for my tastebuds. Con: The staples they used to seal the paper bag was so sharp, it cut my index finger and made it bleed as soon as I opened it. Now on to the cake itself. First off, the cake was moist and dense at the same time, which I really liked. It wasn't too overwhelmingly sweet - this is important, since I served it to older adults, who are not fond of super sugary, diabetes inducing cakes (hahah ). But they appreciated the cinnamon-y taste from the pumpkin spice cake. Furthermore, all the fruit on the cake was fresh. There were pomegranate seeds, blueberries, blackberries, and strawberries. All 1000% ripe, fresh, with the right amount of sweetness. The fruits did not seem to be pre-frozen and thawed either. Lastly, the rosemary and cinnamon sticks were a very nice touch to the cake. It was really flavorful, moist and spongy, just perfectly touched with a dash of sweetness in both the cake and the cream - I personally don't like overly sweet foods, and this is just perfect for me and my mom. I'm equally pleased with the layer cake as well it was very fresh and have that "QQ" texture - deliciously chewy and bouncy. This too, just hit right for me on the gentle sweetness, the pandan flavor keeping the spotlight in this dessert. My mom and I are big fans of these desserts. We just came back trying out others pandan layer cakes in Downtown Flushing and this shop beats them by a large margin.
