My review stems from the type of workers they have here. As other yelp reviewers have mentioned, the workers here aren't the nicest and they don't hide it. They had a new balloon system incorporated within the past year, and I've stood and watched many customer/worker interactions going sour over the balloons. The interactions aren't the best to hear or watch when you're shopping. Other than the type of service you get here, this Michaels is a well stocked location with your typical prices. I come here for my supplies and leave. I try not to interact with the workers unless necessary.

When I handed her the next bolt and asked her to check, I got a rude reply. "So what, you want me to check all of them?" The disrespectful tone, bothered attitude and "so what" were completely uncalled for. I was polite and did not ask anything crazy. Even if you don't like the work or have a bad day, that is not the customers fault. If I treat you politely, I expect the same.

FIVE HOURS while I'm physically standing in the store. What made it worse? One employee said there were 4 online orders ahead of me, then another (who processed my refund) said 8. Which is it? 4? 8? 20? Why does that somehow equal a 5-hour wait for something that takes minutes? There was no one else waiting in-store, yet I was told online orders come first and my only option was a refund. So you'll take my money, but can't take 5 minutes to help an in-store customer? And to further elaborate, as the employee was processing my return, I asked just one more time if they really couldn't inflate my balloons while I was there and she said no that they have 8 online orders they have to do first. I ended the short conversation with "wow, okay." This is beyond poor service, it's disorganized and unacceptable. If this is your policy, it needs to be clearly communicated BEFORE customers waste their time shopping. I expect a response from management regarding this issue, because this experience was handled terribly from start to finish.
