Ridiculous customer service. Went in with close water bottle and told to put it outside. I asked this is a closed bottle and she replied yes you understand and I dont make the policy. Told me to stabd outside. I just put my drink inside a grocery bag by the door and I talked to the manager who agreed that all drinks even though closed have to be outside. I asked to show me the policy and they dont have the written policy its just something they make up because its holiday. Its a policy that does not make sense and if you worry about every human that walked TO your store, why even bother having a store. I really made my upsetness known. read more

my experience at mauya was fine. i asked the workers any questions I had and they were v helpful. i love the selection they have here. literally everything a trinket / sanrio / miffy girly would want! the they have so much cute stuff from blind boxes to plushies to stationary and more. they even have smiskis! i do feel like this place is a bit on the expensive side, but as n avid shopping in japanese trinket & goods stores, the prices are pretty normal compared to other similar stores. read more

A tad on the pricier side from this Japanese boutique store, so I'll have to wait for the next visit to support them. Yesterday's trip was strictly a window shopping event from this store. I'm more of a Daiso/Miniso fan, but I decided to take a looksie here. Compared to Daiso and Miniso, this store displayed similar items for more expensive. They have plushes from Super Mario to Pusheen. I almost bought me a Christmas Pusheen but decided to wait on that item. It was easy to browse around and look for stuff because their entire store was very well organized. Perhaps closer to Holiday season, I will return again for something.....but I was hoping the Pusheens wouldn't be so pricey. read more

I find it highly inappropriate to follow someone while they're shopping. The worker followed my partner and I while we were browsing. We didn't even touch anything and the women working "fixed" the area we were at. It was just so inappropriate and uncomfortable, I wouldn't recommend visiting the store. The woman working needs to really work on her customer service skills. On another note, everything was very overpriced and not worth it. Do better this place doesn't even deserve one star. read more

Management encourages employees to harass customers as they walk around the store. I understand you are worried about theft (so are all the other shops in the mills). However, getting employees to stare you down or follow you around the store without saying "Hi may I help you find something you are looking for?" is beckoning for a place like this to close. In addition, placing signs that state "you're on camera" is unwelcoming, rude, and extremely bad customer service especially given the fact that your employees treat customers like potential criminals. UNCOMFORTABLE I felt extremely uncomfortable at this store. My boyfriend and I were followed around the entire time by the owner, specifically targeting us. I was just trying to exchange a gift my mom bought me, but we felt so uneasy that we decided to leave. I've been here twice now. This store is wide variety store not just for kids but adults who enjoy things like Pokémon, Kirby, yoshi, and etc. They are AMAZING when it comes to their Pokémon plush. I never seen such a variety and they are little pricey but so worth the money. I got three over the two times I've been in that store. They lady let me know that Wednesday is when they get their new shipments. So if they are ever low on something keep it in mind. Pro tip they have a loyalty card and sometimes campaign of different brand and characters and when you buy certain amount you get free item (usually campaign poster on left door when entering in). Its very nice shop, they have all kinds of cute stuff. More like korean- japanese kind of stuff. But the service was not nice at all. Employee seems rude. Also they have suprise egg machine that using quarters. But when i asked to change the money to quarters , they said they dont do it. But say it wasnt belong to theirs. I understand its not theirs but its still in their shop, so why not to give change. Im pretty sure the owner takes some comissions or something out of it. Bad customer service from a a young female worker (gen z ) She seemed annoyed at her job.

I went to this place to take my niece to pick something for her birthday and was racially profiled and followed around the store by multiple employees. The clerks followed the kids and I as if we were criminals who had stole something. Feeling the unwelcoming vibe, I did not want to spend any money there but I also didn't want to disappoint my niece because she was so excited to get her gifts. We finally picked all the items she wanted and waited in line still being monitored by all the staff. We reached the cashier and we were asked for Identification to use my card. I normally wouldn't have an issue with that but I noticed that we were the only customers that were asked for ID. Mauya Sky is a little gift shop located inside the Ontario Mills Mall near Nordstrom Rack. I visited this shop while shopping with my Mom on a random weekend and being an individual who has always liked cute accessories and stationery, I curiously stepped in. The shop sells items that range from pens, plushies, notebooks, toys, keychains, backpacks, and many more. They even have a decent section that sells K-Pop merchandise. I bought two K-Pop pouch bags (Twice & Vixx!) for my sister and I, because we needed them to stash away some personal items. They do sell some fake and knock-off items, so you have to look carefully at the condition and quality. Overall, it is just an average gift store that may seem appealing to younger customers. read more

This is the same experience you get when you step into this store. Price tag said $11.99 go to the register and I'm being told by the manager that the price is scanning wrong and that they made a mistake and that the original price was more!? I asked her to honor the price tag since 5-6 more of the same toys were marked with the same damn price of $11.99!!!! She said NO !!!! If you like shopping around and you like something and like the price and to go and wait in line to be told the price is wrong when paying that it's more $$$ than what the price tag says and be told that the price tag on the boxes are wrong and they can't honor even though it was THEIR mistake!!! They have a K-pop section, which is the reason I went. They have books, socks, keychains, posters, pens, etc. only downfall, they mainly have the guys and no girl groups. They do sell funko pops, and stuffed animals. Pricing I feel is reasonable since it's hard to find anything Kpop. It's next to Nordstrom rack and easy to get to. This place has a little bit of everything for any person in love with Japan and/or Korea. The stationery is EVERYTHING to me. The Frixion Pens there are perfection and has lasted me a long time. The K-Pop items there made me so happy to see! There was BTS, EXO, and even some other bands. But the best thing there (at least for my sister) are the squishes. They are so well made and at good prices. They are a little expensive but these are great to add as a starter to a collection or even a prize to a big pile of squishes. We received a gift that was purchased from this store. The gift was given after the 15 day exchange policy and the gift giver told me that the sales recommended the bag as appropriate for a 4 year. We got the bag and the straps do not adjust to fit a child, in fact it is actually slightly big on me as a full grown adult. Since I cannot control when the gift was purchased and the fact that the sales recommended a bag that was not suitable for a child, I would expect the owners to be understanding of this. I really hate to say this but some of the employees here are weirdos ! For example, I'd be looking at all these cute pencils I'd like to buy for school (since school is starting soon) and I would turn around to look at cute plushies and an employee would be right on my booty staring at me, so I was like umm okay that was weird, let's move. I'd move and they would follow me and do the same thing and ask me "is everything alright?" And I'm like "lol ya I'm good" and then I even tested something out to make sure I wasn't crazy.
