I came in here wanting to buy some palm pals for my nephew but then realized it wasn't that type of store. There's a lot of cute plushies like Hello Kitty and stationary stuff! I couldn't pass up on that! The store is very clean and organized. Customer service was ok. I had a great time coming here even tho they didn't have what I was looking for, I ended up getting cute pens and plushies. read more

Ridiculous customer service. Went in with close water bottle and told to put it outside. I asked this is a closed bottle and she replied yes you understand and I dont make the policy. Told me to stabd outside. I just put my drink inside a grocery bag by the door and I talked to the manager who agreed that all drinks even though closed have to be outside. I asked to show me the policy and they dont have the written policy its just something they make up because its holiday. Its a policy that does not make sense and if you worry about every human that walked TO your store, why even bother having a store. I really made my upsetness known. read more

2023/051 Can't miss this brightly well lit quaint shop located between the neighborhoods of 7and 8. It is a specialty K- pop store selling assorted plush toys, stationaries and accessories. Most merchandise are famous characters of Go Yammy Yammy, Anirollz, Hello Kitty, Disney, Mario Brothers, Pokemon, Marvel, Ty, Sanrio, Gudetama, QPosket, Funko pop Animation, and many more Got me a Minnie Mouse macaron lip balm and a Minnie & Mickey novelty socks. I would be in great trouble if I take grandkids here cause I wanted to just squeeze all these plushies and just buy them all!! read more

A tad on the pricier side from this Japanese boutique store, so I'll have to wait for the next visit to support them. Yesterday's trip was strictly a window shopping event from this store. I'm more of a Daiso/Miniso fan, but I decided to take a looksie here. Compared to Daiso and Miniso, this store displayed similar items for more expensive. They have plushes from Super Mario to Pusheen. I almost bought me a Christmas Pusheen but decided to wait on that item. It was easy to browse around and look for stuff because their entire store was very well organized. Perhaps closer to Holiday season, I will return again for something.....but I was hoping the Pusheens wouldn't be so pricey. read more

I'm going to give constructive criticism in this review in hope that management changes their ways before this place goes out of business. The good This place has a good selection of items that are unique. The unacceptable The prices here are incredibly high. In addition to this, the customer service here is absolutely terrible. Management encourages employees to harass customers as they walk around the store. I understand you are worried about theft (so are all the other shops in the mills). However, getting employees to stare you down or follow you around the store without saying "Hi may I help you find something you are looking for?" is beckoning for a place like this to close. In addition, placing signs that state "you're on camera" is unwelcoming, rude, and extremely bad customer service especially given the fact that your employees treat customers like potential criminals. I wanted to buy Pops but after seeing how unprofessional this place is, I simply bought an overpriced card game. read more

I find it highly inappropriate to follow someone while they're shopping. The worker followed my partner and I while we were browsing. We didn't even touch anything and the women working "fixed" the area we were at. It was just so inappropriate and uncomfortable, I wouldn't recommend visiting the store. The woman working needs to really work on her customer service skills. On another note, everything was very overpriced and not worth it. Do better this place doesn't even deserve one star. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My siblings and I walked in and the worker who looked like an older Asian women started following us around. When we would be looking at stuff she would be right behind us and if we moved somewhere else she would follow us. I then decided to view the pens and she stood in between the isle, not letting me get by. I would suggest everyone that isn't white looking or Asian to be aware of her!! read more

UNCOMFORTABLE I felt extremely uncomfortable at this store. My boyfriend and I were followed around the entire time by the owner, specifically targeting us. I was just trying to exchange a gift my mom bought me, but we felt so uneasy that we decided to leave. Initially, two younger women were following us--one with short black hair and bangs, and the other with medium-length black hair. Later, the manager joined in. My mom and I have both experienced similar strange behavior at this store before. This place would be a 10/10 if they weren't so weird with the following and if they spoke to us like human beings. IF I COULD GIVE -100 stars i would read more

great to know that all the employees here like to follow customers around and i quote 'we follow everyone and we're sorry YOU felt uncomfortable' and after seeing MULTIPLE reviews saying the same thing, management needs to change their 'policy' how can a customer shop in peace when they have someone looking over their shoulder, all the employees here on saturday august 2nd 2025 at 7:00pm need to be held liable, highly highly inappropriate especially in the climate we face in the world right now read more

I'm only giving one star because today 3/14/2024 my friend and I were followed throughout the entire store up until we paid, it was an older Asian lady she was rude and interrupted our conversation with another male employee. There are so many reviews that are similar to this they should really look into it!! The store overall sells good stuff Sanrio items that are typically $2 cheaper than at the Sanrio store. Good selection but some stuff are very overpriced. Please look into the service at this place. read more

I've been here twice now. This store is wide variety store not just for kids but adults who enjoy things like Pokémon, Kirby, yoshi, and etc. They are AMAZING when it comes to their Pokémon plush. I never seen such a variety and they are little pricey but so worth the money. I got three over the two times I've been in that store. They lady let me know that Wednesday is when they get their new shipments. So if they are ever low on something keep it in mind. Pro tip they have a loyalty card and sometimes campaign of different brand and characters and when you buy certain amount you get free item (usually campaign poster on left door when entering in). This store does not disappoint and is worth a look! read more

Hello and happy Easter everyone ! Just wanted to make a little review! Today I came in shopping with my family. And also today is my birthday ! Now I am a mother with a 3 year old . And 3 year olds like to touch stuff in stores . It happens . My daughter touched one of the displays in the window and this rude woman comes up and says "your daughter can't be there " so I took my kid and walked away. The whole time shopping the angry lady with no eyebrows was staring at me . And sent one of her coworkers to customer service me. Uhm thanks for Alienating me and my daughter. You have made this shopping experience awful. Uhm don't come in here with your children . They literally hate you. If you hate kids don't work in a toy store. read more

Its very nice shop, they have all kinds of cute stuff. More like korean- japanese kind of stuff. But the service was not nice at all. Employee seems rude. Also they have suprise egg machine that using quarters. But when i asked to change the money to quarters , they said they dont do it. But say it wasnt belong to theirs. I understand its not theirs but its still in their shop, so why not to give change. Im pretty sure the owner takes some comissions or something out of it. Because of that my kids were so upset because i dont have enough quarters. Luckily a nice customer there give me one. So my kids got one stuff and leave happily. But their employee does not care at all. read more

Bad customer service from a a young female worker (gen z ) She seemed annoyed at her job.

I went to this place to take my niece to pick something for her birthday and was racially profiled and followed around the store by multiple employees. The clerks followed the kids and I as if we were criminals who had stole something. Feeling the unwelcoming vibe, I did not want to spend any money there but I also didn't want to disappoint my niece because she was so excited to get her gifts. We finally picked all the items she wanted and waited in line still being monitored by all the staff. We reached the cashier and we were asked for Identification to use my card. I normally wouldn't have an issue with that but I noticed that we were the only customers that were asked for ID. I wouldn't recommend this establishment to anyone and I'll leave it at that. read more

Came in for my daughters birthday, the store owners are extremely racist and unprofessional. No customer service and decline to help us properly due to our skin color. I've never witnessed a his type of behavior from any establishment in the Ontario mills. I am a member of this community and would hate to see anyone else receive this treatment. Please avoid they do not deserve the business from the locals read more

Cute products! But no matter how cute they are, it does not matter when we can't even enjoy looking at all the cute stuff. As soon as we walked in, we were being watched like we were freaking terrorists. Mind you it was me and my 2 little daughters, but it did not matter to this one particular worker. She was following us from the get go until we had to pay. Whatever my daughters touched. She made sure that the stuff they touched still there. Unbelievable! I've never felt this way before when I go into a store. read more

Horrible customer service at the Ontario Mall. I'm Hispanic and felt that the cashier Sheryl didn't respect me because of that. I was asking questions that she did not answer instead she stared at me like I was going to steal. Horrible experience. I don't recommend this store at all. read more

Mauya Sky is a little gift shop located inside the Ontario Mills Mall near Nordstrom Rack. I visited this shop while shopping with my Mom on a random weekend and being an individual who has always liked cute accessories and stationery, I curiously stepped in. The shop sells items that range from pens, plushies, notebooks, toys, keychains, backpacks, and many more. They even have a decent section that sells K-Pop merchandise. I bought two K-Pop pouch bags (Twice & Vixx!) for my sister and I, because we needed them to stash away some personal items. They do sell some fake and knock-off items, so you have to look carefully at the condition and quality. Overall, it is just an average gift store that may seem appealing to younger customers. read more

If you grew up in the hood (like I did), you always had that Asian-owned corner store where the employee eye balled you from entry to exit to make sure you didn't steal anything. This is the same experience you get when you step into this store. If you are shopping, picking up things to look at or have alarge bag with you, the Asian lady with dark hair will stare at you the entire time. Safe to say, I left and didn't spend my money here. Plenty of other stores to spend money at. read more

Rude ass employees that gave attitude for no reason, I had no problems walking around but checking out wise they had no enthusiasm in showing customer service. She asked me credit or debit 4 times, in which I've said I've said credit repeatedly nicely. However everytime she asked me she gave me attitude and her tone grew with annoyance after I said credit for the last time, she flat out said irritation "Can I see your ID?" Mauya needs to do a better choice in hiring employees. Rudest employee ever. read more

I love the stuff they sell... i always buy plushies from there, never had a problem with them great quality. The only problem is the employees, not only do they sometimes have bad attitudes but they follow you EVERYWHERE. Like i get you don't want people stealing but damn... buy some high quality cameras or some shit if you are that worried lmao. read more

Extremely bad customer service. I've never encountered such horrible service , a worker was just staring at me once she saw that I had grab an item she started following me throughout the whole store. Then when I grabbed another item she went to tell all her workers to keep an eye on me which I heard , once she said that and they all just stared and again started following me throughout the store. I couldn't even enjoy looking at the stuff because of how uncomfortable they made me feel. Even after I paid they were still following me until I left the store read more

Don't bother coming here if you want to have a nice shopping experience. As corroborated with other reviews, the Asian employee will racially profile you, follow you around, stare at you and make you really uncomfortable if you're not white or Asian. I went in to look for a new pillow and a plush with my boyfriend. It would've been nice if the asian woman with ash toned hair didn't blatantly follow me around the store while the other one stared from across the way making me feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. That definitely does not make me want to spend my money here. I also feel the need to add in I was the only one being followed along with being the only black person in the store. read more

Went in to check out this cute store and found something I liked for my husband!!! Price tag said $11.99 go to the register and I'm being told by the manager that the price is scanning wrong and that they made a mistake and that the original price was more!? I asked her to honor the price tag since 5-6 more of the same toys were marked with the same damn price of $11.99!!!! She said NO !!!! If you like shopping around and you like something and like the price and to go and wait in line to be told the price is wrong when paying that it's more $$$ than what the price tag says and be told that the price tag on the boxes are wrong and they can't honor even though it was THEIR mistake!!! They have a K-pop section, which is the reason I went. They have books, socks, keychains, posters, pens, etc. only downfall, they mainly have the guys and no girl groups. This place has a little bit of everything for any person in love with Japan and/or Korea. The stationery is EVERYTHING to me. The Frixion Pens there are perfection and has lasted me a long time. The K-Pop items there made me so happy to see! There was BTS, EXO, and even some other bands. But the best thing there (at least for my sister) are the squishes. They are so well made and at good prices. They are a little expensive but these are great to add as a starter to a collection or even a prize to a big pile of squishes. I would totally recommend this store for other people. Kawaii (a.k.a cute), fun, and so interesting to see what they have. read more

We received a gift that was purchased from this store. The gift was given after the 15 day exchange policy and the gift giver told me that the sales recommended the bag as appropriate for a 4 year. We got the bag and the straps do not adjust to fit a child, in fact it is actually slightly big on me as a full grown adult. Since I cannot control when the gift was purchased and the fact that the sales recommended a bag that was not suitable for a child, I would expect the owners to be understanding of this. We cannot exchange the gift despite it still being sold at the store. I just feel that this is bad customer service. read more
