Each of the last three manicures I had included no cuticle prep. They just filed the nail plate down, put on the dehydrator, and did the dip. My actual nails were completely ruined in the process. I actually had to take SIX WEEKS off of having anything on my nails so that I could grow them back out. That's how bad of shape my nails were left in. My biggest complaint is that, after coming here for over a year regularly, Jimmy didn't even know my name. He stamped my final punch card entry and it seemed like he had this moment of realization that he had no idea what my name is. Not going to lie - it stung! I got my bridal nails done here! Because the selection appeared limited, I asked whether those were the only colors available. He replied that they were the dip-powder colors, although I had never requested dip powder. After I clarified that I wanted regular polish, he directed me to another display. I was surprised to find several nearly empty or dried-out bottles, which made choosing a color difficult. I was then directed to a chair, where my technician noticed nail dust covering the seat and adjoining table from a previous service. She wiped the area with a towel before I sat down. My pedicure was okay, but it felt rushed and did not seem to include everything I remembered from the Pomelo Pedicure description. When I received my ticket at the end of my service, I realized I had been given and charged for the less-expensive Express Pedicure instead. I mentioned it to the associate who checked me out, but I am unsure whether she understood my concern, so I decided not to pursue it further. On the positive side, I now know the Express Pedicure would be a convenient option when I am short on time. I am willing to give this salon another try to determine whether this experience was an exception or the usual standard.

Before we even started, I showed her a photo of my eyebrows from a previous appointment and explained that it was the exact look I wanted. Instead of listening, she immediately told me, "No, you don't want them too thin." That response caught me off guard because they are my eyebrows and the photo I showed her was literally a previous result that I was happy with. Rather than listening to my preferences, she repeatedly told me what she thought I wanted and seemed annoyed whenever I tried to explain otherwise. As I continued trying to communicate the look I was going for, she became visibly frustrated and said, "I'm going to find someone else for you." She then left the room, returned alone, and told me, "You know this is just waxing. This isn't permanent makeup." At that point, I was confused because I thought she was getting someone else who could better assist me. Instead, she expected me to continue the service after dismissing my concerns. When she told me to lay down, I declined. I went to the front, paid, and politely explained that I felt the situation was unacceptable. As a loyal customer who has supported this business , I expected basic professionalism and respect. Unfortunately, this experience has caused me to take my business elsewhere. My husband had a quick men's mani/pedi which left his hands and feet moisturized and clean. My pedicure was great, I did an aqua color which I enjoyed and then I originally asked for a chrome aqua color for my manicure as well, but changed my mind to get a chrome orange after she shaped my nails. Not sure if me changing my mind made my manicurist forget that I also wanted chrome, so after doing my complete set, I had to have another lady take all the color off and start again because the chrome was supposed to be the first layer. Had I realized this (I rarely get my nails done so I don't really know the process), I would have spoken up before she got so far along.
