Food was great, but the customer service was absolutely horrible, or at least on of the employees. They young man that helped us, Alex, was just rude. I ordered my meal and asked for sweet potato fries, and while watching the screen, had to tell him 3 times that I wanted sweet potato fries instead of the seasoned fries he entered, boyfriend ordered his food, asking for a large drink, and Alex pretty much threw his cup over the counter at him. Alex delivers our food by pretty much throwing our bag at us on the table. A few minutes later, I overhear him on the Subway side, asking the customer :Do you know what you want yet", no hello, no greeting at all. Really looked like he hated his job! Was basically like a Whataburger just with a different name. Almost everything else about my burger was the same as Whataburger. They have different fries but they were still delicious! Also their small ice cream bar was a hit with my little one. It's connected to a subway which looks very confusing on the outside but works pretty well inside. I would return. read more

I'm not sure where some of these bad reviews are coming from...or maybe expectations are low when I have two hungry boys in the car, driving home from a week at the lake. We have always wanted to fret TX Burger, so what better time to stop. Location is small (but so is the town of Buffalo). This isn't a complaint--just an observation. Service was pretty fast and very courteous. It was pretty busy but we received our food within ten minutes of ordering. Kids loved their meals and our burgers and fixins were fresh. You could tell it was made when we ordered it. Dining room was clean and continually picked up. I don't know what more you could ask for while stopping on the way home. I think the only "complaint" that we had were the choices of fountain drinks. There's only 6, but they have all the basics. My kids just love lemonade as a treat when we go out so we had to coax them into vitamin water and regular water. Not a deal breaker, just silly kids. We will definitely be back by! read more

This is our second stop here about a year apart and the burgers are just as good as we remembered. Less than 10 minutes to get our order and our son got pizza at the subway. When a burger comes with all the toppings including purple onions it is a win. The loud music and unchecked restroom is the reason for only four stars. read more

So we frequent Texas burger when we travel from houston to Oklahoma. I have never been dissatisfied before but today.....the cashier didn't look at me bcc he was watching something on his cell phone which he had sitting on top of the register. He did not speak to me when he was finished with our order so I just stood there wondering what was next, if my card was approved, do I have a number? Nothing. He walked away continuing to watch whatever was on his phone with another employee. To round up the experience our food was cold. The patties appear to have been cooked much earlier and not even hot held for service. There was a large spill in front of the drink station. No one cleaned it up. They sat a wet floor sign on the liquid and ignored it. It was very very slick. We will not be back. read more

Was excited to eat here because we had one in my hometown growing up. Ordering a 1/3 burger took 25 minutes and there was no one else in the drive thru. When I pulled up there were 4 people standing around looking at baby clothes. Had to walk inside and they still did not have it ready. What is a reasonable time to wait for a burger restaurant? The best burger I have had in a long time! This is our new stop on the way to Fort Worth. The only reason it does not get five stars is the bathroom needs some TLC to be up to par. Possibly the worst burger I have ever had. If you ever make the unfortunate decision to come to this establishment I advise that you definitely choose subway. Even subway's mediocre sandwich would outlast the horrid experience and haunting taste of their burgers. What even is a half burger/half subway restaurant?? My husband and I stopped there yesterday because we were meeting a dog rescue group to pick up a pup. We had a half-hour wait, so decided to grab a burger. Both were delicious and they got my, minus-this, plus that order exactly right. What we were MOST impressed with, however, was the fact that within moments of us being there during torrential downpours and high winds, phone alarms began going off, warning of imminent tornado warnings. The staff and management acted quickly calming guests and letting them know where the safest shelters were, men's and women's restrooms and the walk-in freezer. They locked the doors (though would let us out if we wanted, of course), and when they found out that we had our 14 year old dog, who we brought with us to meet the new pup, they insisted she be brought in for safety. She was no where near a food prep area as she lay quietly beneath the booth, but their concern for her safety, alone and vulnerable in a car was touching. We all monitored the weather, and in fact, a tornado had touched down within blocks and could be seen had one looked out the window. The staff was ON THEIR GAME! They were busy in the back, I believe following safety protocols like turning off gas and flames should we actually be hit as we were, according to the weather alarm, in the direct path of the coming storm. We were beyond impressed. Whomever was the management and their team between them and the attached Subway on duty yesterday between 11 and 2 should get major kudos. read more
