Staff is always wonderful, the food is delicious and the music and vibes are top tier. I love that they're always having community focused events like movie nights. Really a fixture in this town. read more

point and barrel is very hit or miss, atmosphere and food quality both definitely depend on who is working and cooking that day. sometimes the food is amazing and i enjoy every appetizer and entree. the next day i might not be able to stomach more than a few bites. there is plenty of both outdoor and indoor seating that is always nice for a hang out with friends/family, and they do have a few varieties of entertainment on specific nights of the week. you either love it or hate it. read more

I absolutely adore this spot. The bacon cheddar cheese fries with pulled pork, and then you can get beer cheese on the side is absolutely to die for. The portion size is well worth the prices. The flavor is immaculate. I'm actually upset that I haven't been here in so long. I need to remedy that ASAP. read more

Picked a great night to visit! Trivia going on & everyone was so friendly! Ordered the buffalo chicken bacon wrap & it came with homemade hummus with veggies or you can choose house made chips depending on your mood! Great selection of beers on tap but I opted for a local cider instead. Would definitely return on a Monday night! read more

People are super friendly and help with selection of the draft beer! Owner is normally around, but their manager is a super guy Outside space is amazing to sit out and visit and drink/eat. Cheddar Poblano and the strings(onion strings) and Jalapeños are great choice! read more

Stopped in the place on a whim while in town. I was pleasantly surprised. Really comfortable vide. The food was good, and the staff was friendly. They had several craft beers to choose from, it was nice that the staff knew about the beer they had on hand and could tell you about them. If you're passing through, it's worth stopping in. I'll go back to this place again when I'm in town. read more

Very great find! If you are passing through - I highly recommend. Service is great - order at the bar then go find your place to sit inside or in the patio area. Staff is great. Food as you can tell is great - I did order rare and got medium done. Think hubby got my rare burger. Even though it was still tasty. Ambiance was relaxed and comfortable. read more

We were passing through, and found this great place! It was a slightly overcast day, and perfect to sit outside! I had a black bean burger with very good thick cut curly fries. I thought the cole slaw was tasty. My husband had a blt, and it was terrific (heavy on the bacon)! Service was friendly. We recommend it! Oh, they play great music (mainly classic rock)! read more

We are visiting Palestine this week and this is one of the places recommended to me.We were initially put off by the greeting we received from one of the bartenders; she didn't particularly seem to want us there. However, after we stepped away to review the menu and came back to order, we spoke with a different bartender who was fabulous. We sat outside on the patio and waited for our food. The fried pickles were good, but not the best we've ever had; the breading was a little thick. However... I ordered a bison burger and it was amazing! Juicy, great texture, really good. Their curly steak fries were to die for. I would have been happy with just those. The slaw was ok, a little sweet. My husband had the 1 Little Piggy and really enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend! read more

First time visit. Wanted somewhere that was pet friendly and they have a really nice large covered patio. Our little fur baby enjoyed the visit sitting in her stroller on the patio. I had the Patty Melt which was very tasty. The fries were amazing and the cole slaw so very tasty. My wife had a regular burger which was ordered WELL DONE. Unfortunately it didn't get cooked as requested and as a result she wasn't able to finish her meal. Had a few good draft beers as well. Gave only 4 stars for two reasons: (1) Burger not cooked as requestd; and (2) When I went to close out my tab the young lady behind the bar never asked if we liked our meals. Very disappointed in that. Will definitely go back and give them another try just no burgers next visit. Will hopefully be able to update and raise my review after the next visit. read more

Really good, unique food and atmosphere. Very friendly staff. I love the chili in cooler months but recently just tried the Frito Pie and it was good and different than what I was expecting, this will be my new go to. Lots of craft beer and wine options too. Hidden gym in Palestine!! Great selection of beer with a nice food menu to go along with it. Will definitely be back again.

Arrived at 3 pm with a group of 7 adults and 5 kids on a Monday. Friendly staff and fairly fast service. We ordered a few beers, chili, kids chicken tender baskets, Philly cheesesteak and Cuban sandwich. Food wise everything was good. Service is very laid back. You order at the bar and take a seat. I can see how this plays might be a bigger hit during the summer. Unfortunately, we went during the winter lol but will visit again when we are back out this way. read more

The Good: I'm from out of town and stopped here for dinner. The bar keep was friendly and knowledgeable about his beers and recommended a local favorite based on my tastes. It was spot on. The buffalo chicken sandwich was excellent as well. Service was clean and efficient. The Not-so-good: Someone dropped a glass and it shattered. An employee yelled out "$#!+" in front of a family with kids. Not cool. While my sandwich was very good, I did order it without raw onions but it came with raw onions. Finally while the staff was friendly, I felt alone when my food was delivered and the server just set it down and left. Nobody asked if my food was good or checked on me, and I was left to my own defenses looking for utensils, condiments and napkins. The Result: All in all this is a local favorite and great for everyone. This is a good choice for something that is not available everywhere. read more

Found this little gem after taking a scenic railway ride. This little draft house is AMAZING. Ok ok ok- I hear ya, how can a draft house be that good. Well.... it's the Owner that makes the difference. I'm not generally a beer drinker. But my friend is and I'm willing to try new things so that's how we landed here. We sat at the bar and Chris patiently listened to me explain I don't like beer- so, what does he do? He suggests I tell him what I do like and then let him suggest a few to taste. That was a cool idea. And he was really amazing at explaining the different beers and their flavors and scents and well... he truly made the night just a lot of fun. So, do I now like beer- uhm, no. But did I have a fantastic evening at this Drafthouse- heck yeah ! Also had to post the pic of fries- these are delicious and really you just should plan to buy a plate of them with tour drinks read more

We stopped in on our way to Arkansas. The staff was friendly and acknowledged us as soon as we walked in. The restaurant was smaller than we expected from photos on Yelp. There was plenty of patio seating, though. Our group of 4 ordered the grilled cheese, chicken tenders, Cuban sandwich and Reuben sandwich. Food came out very quickly. Everything looked really good! The grilled cheese sandwich was very sweet tasting and the cheese was not very melty. The tomato basil soup that came with it was good. My son said the Cuban was somewhat bland and the corned beef on the Reuben was cut in thick slices rather than our preferred method of shaved corned beef. The chicken tenders were very good, the best of the four entrees, but the cream gravy had an unusual spice/flavor. All in all, just a very average lunch. read more

It could be how great the weather is today or the wonderful company I'm with, but really enjoying our time here at the Pint and Barrel. Pkasters! I'm on the bandwagon on this place. The look is E. Texas inside and out. The people friendly and the food tasty. If I had one hang up it's that the chicken San which and fries I had was not Texas size. My appetite wanted more but my big belly thanks you. I was in the area visiting a friend, and this was the place he chose for lunch. A great selection! As soon as I walked in, the staff made me feel welcomed. Since I had never eaten here, they gave me the lowdown on how to order and pay. Don't drink alcohol; however, they do have many beers on tap. (Local micro-brews to boot!) As soon as our food was delivered, I consumed the mouth-watering Buffalo Chicken sandwich and fries. Utterly delicious! If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely eat here. read more

As you approach, the place is sore Rusty Poquoson outdoor picnic table some big ass fans outside. Hey, Siri is very very warm. Inside is nice and chilly. Bartenders are friendly and attentive. The food berries is very diverse menu. You'll see Kasian food mac & cheese, chili there's even buffalo burger. The beer menu is also very diverse. It ranges from Hales to loggers to brown eels some IPAs, of course nitro stout they were session beers and I chose the cucumber, sour beer, but I felt paired well with the buffalo burger and fries. The ambience is very open very casual surprise to see various things up on the wall, caught my attention mostly with me and me and Ryan coasters that line the lower part of the bar the music was somewhat subdued, but including everything from Jimmy Hendrix to Eric Clapton cocaine and some classic rock songs. nice place to just hang out after work or place to come by for lunch. read more

Ok so here is the story, atmosphere was great, staff super friendly, and the concept behind it all was amazing. So why 3 stars, the food, my hamburger was good fries good, however, when you put the baked potato as a feature item, more effort should definitely be employed. For instance the potato came in a plate with a container of cheese, onion, butter and sour cream... no meat or protein of any kind was present. Again if it's a featured item in my opinion it should be presented and served as a featured item... read more

This is my favorite place to eat in Palestine. Never disappoints! Problem is I always order the same few things. Our last stop there the wife and I shared the jalapeño spinach artichoke dip and a 'Cuban' sandwich. Both were excellent as always, and I had an IPA and the wife had tea. I can recommend personally the Cuban, Reuben, smoked wings and the fish and chips. This is always our go to place with friends or family that come to town and want a great meal and a wide selection of brew on tap. It's well run and the service is good too. This is a laid back brew pub so don't expect anything to be fancy, but the experience is stellar. There aren't many places I would recommend in Palestine, but this place never disappoints! read more

This place used to be really delicious however tonight it just did not deliver. Our food was very mediocre at best and it actually gave me food poisoning. They got our orders incorrect and it just was very blan and dry. Our burgers were extremely dry and overcooked but it wasn't worth the hassle of getting a new order placed. The pretzel was dry and over salted with really questionable gelatinous beer cheese. 2 years ago I would've said it was a must try but now I'd say skip and go elsewhere. Even McDonalds or DQ would've probably had better tasting food unfortunately. read more

One of our favorite places to get food but was disappointed tonight. I got the fish and chips wife got the Ruben sandwich and son got the Cuban , theirs were okay but but not as good as usual. My fish consisted of two small pieces of what seemed frozen out of the bag and not their fresh and crispy three or four pieces that I have gotten before. All of ours come with fries which are normally very good but they were overcooked, hard and fewer than normal which was okay . Hope it was just a bad night. Will not take the risk and get the fish again though. read more

How lucky are we to have this great spot in Palestine? Closed on Sundays (yay for staff we all need a break!), but ready for ya the rest of the weekfrom 11am-12am and til 1am on Saturdays. Food- amazing. Very generous "Texas" portions---aka you'll get like 2-3 meals out of one purchased--- do not waste it! Take it home! So tasty. Garaunteed to have a great time. This is THE local watering hole y'all. Moved here from Charleston (also work in hospitality), and immediately the owner made me feel like family. Pint and Barrel could be placed in CHS, Chicago, LA, etc. and still have the same awesome vibe and serving up delicious eats and fantastic drinks. Y'all made a regular out of me after one visit! Met a couple friends here for lunch. Have to say. It's a decent place to eat. Although the ordering process is a bit different. You walk up to the bar area. Place your order and pay for it. Afterwards you find your table. They deliver food. The tea and water is self served. Although the water is served through an orange igloo brand dispenser you would use for camping. That's weird. I had the Philly cheesesteak with fries and coleslaw. This sandwich is massive. Big enough for at least 3 people. It was fresh. But lacked seasoning/flavor. Fries were on point. Fresh. Seasoned perfectly. Now. The coleslaw. It was a bit on the sour side. I didn't care for that. Overall. This place is a lot better than most places in Palestine. Prices are a bit high though. Oh. And they should invest in a bug zapper or something because watching the employees use a fly swatter around the dining area while u eat is disgusting! read more
