This Cava is wonderful, and it has become a must-visit every time I come to Tyler. First, the food is delicious. Forget the Chipotle a stone's throw away (and I love Chipotle!) The options here blow everything else out of the water. I usually go for the harissa avocado bowl, but you can create your own and do it your way, and you can delete or add items to their "curated" bowls and wraps. The people who work here are always a delight, very friendly and helpful. I brought my cousin here, and she had a lot of questions, and they helped her through the process without getting irritated! The dining room is standard fast-casual, and everything was very clean and in order. I always look forward to coming here when I visit East Texas! read more

NEVER, NEVER, EVER AGAIN!!! THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS!! Their portion sizes are so cheap its pathetic!! $28.00 for 1 Bowl!!!?? My 1st, AND my Absolute LAST time here!! I've never seen such GREED from a food establishment, as this one. Even Chipotle and Piata have better portion control. The scoops they use for hummus and other options is no bigger than a quarter, and then after scooping out the1 scoop, they scrape the scoop on edge of container, and now its half a scoop!! Not even 1 bite!!! I asked if they wouldn't mind a full scoop, they told me it's an extra upcharge!! Seriously?? Are you that hard up for money?? but, I wanted to try this place out! I get down to the protein section, and chose braised Lamb, she takes the tongs and grabs the lamb, then proceeded to tap it against the container again, knocking off half the portion back into the container!! So, I only got 2 bites of the braised lamb in my bowl! I chose to add another protein, which I chose Steak, and was told by the server it was $3.00 extra, not a problem, as I wanted the bowl to be full, so I agreed. The next station with the condiments, I got corn, olives, red peppers, and a couple extras, they said 3 scoops of each was ok, but the spoon they used, was like a baby spoon, or a tea spoon, smaller than average size. I got 3 spoon fulls of each, which added up to maybe 1 Tablespoon. it wasn't much!! EVERY STATION HAD TINY PORTIONS, instead of just doing it correctly!! I understood that avocado was an extra upcharge (Everybody charges extra for avocado), and agreed to it, cause I Love avocado. but, when she spooned out the avocado, she grabbed a half avocado, and only added half of that half to my bowl, I asked her where's the rest?? She said she could add more, but its another upcharge, WHAT??? So, you only get a quarter of an Avocado for upgrading!!!?? cheapskates!!! Sauces weren't a problem, Greek yogurt & something else, I forgot. they drenched the bowl with both, covering all the other ingredients completely! I could hardly see anything else. I also got a small Iced Tea. When I get to the register to pay, she says, that's $28.72..I Just about crapped my pants!! WTF??? I don't like being taken advantage of. almost $30 for 1 person, for Lunch!!?? Your Higher than a heroin addict!! I did give one star cause the food is good, but that's the most Greediest, Selfish company I have ever, ever seen!! RIP OFF!! THEY'RE STRAIGHT THIEVES!!! How dare you!! taking advantage of your customers, by being chintzy, cheap, & Greedy, its already overpriced, but to deliberately scam your customers is not cool!!! I ordered the build your own pita. You get a good amount of food for the price but I thought the taste was just ok. All of the meat choices look like they had been sitting awhile and the grilled chicken looked charred. If you want the shredded lamb or spicy falafel it's like $2.50 extra. If you want avocado it's $2.50 extra. Unlimited toppings which is nice. The pickled onions help balance the rich taste and I enjoyed the pita bread itself. I would come again if my sister wanted it but not by my choice. I preferred Zoe's food over this and I sure miss their pesto hummus. read more

We've been anxiously awaiting the opening of CAVA in the old Zoe's Kitchen location and it did not disappoint! We've been big fans of CAVA and are excited to finally have one nearby. They offer chef curated pitas and bowls, but I always go for the create your own bowl and get a mix of greens and grains. The SuperGreens are my new favorite - it's a mix of finely chopped broccoli, kale, brussel sprouts, and chicory - and I usually go for the grilled chicken, although the grilled meatballs are also really good. We were there for the community give back day, the team was enthusiastic and friendly, but still getting the hang of it. They offer an order online option, there's a rack for pick up near the register. Already looking forward to my next bowl! read more
