Nice interior with indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly and prompt service excellent fry on all of our orders, fried catfish basket, fried oyster basket and fried crawfish tail appetizer. Very yummy. The oysters were a bit on a small side though, but the taste was really good. The catfish and the crawfish tails were Very yummy.

We're visiting Palestine and this place came highly recommended! It was gorgeous outside, so we sat on the back patio. From there we were able to watch the cook in the outdoor kitchen work while we enjoyed the smells he was creating. I had the boiled shrimp and potatoes. Delicious and just a bite a spice. My husband had the chicken fried chicken. He enjoyed every bit! We also ate a basket of crispy, crunchy onion rings. Our waitress, Shelby, made sure our drinks stayed full and that we were happy.

Oysters on half shell... SUPERB! Steak was EXCELLENT! Awesome staff.. we had Lauren she's fun and happy and terrific! The atmosphere was laid back, friendly. We were welcomed from the moment we walked in the door. AWESOMENESS! We'll be back for sure!

I was in from out of town. Not really a lot of dining options in Palestine (my opinion) and no real steakhouses but this place was highly recommended by a friend that lives up here. Very surprised the cut was good the steak was very flavorful and I will definitely be back.

Stumbled upon this gem as a halfway point between Dallas and Nacogdoches to meet for lunch. We couldn't have found a better place! We were a little early so the owner suggested we try the pie next door (OMG! We would've missed that one as well. Oxbow Bakery was featured in Southern Living! So we considered that our appetizer). We walked back next door and sat at one of the picnic tables outside. We ordered the Feast - 5 pounds of crawfish, 3 pounds of shrimp, Alaskan king crab, sausage, potatoes, corn and mushrooms! Three college kids and one very happy momma tore this platter up!!!!! Everything was perfectly seasoned, our waiter Robert took great care of us, the ambience felt like we were in a friend's backyard crawfish boil! This is a perfect gem hidden in a sleepy little town! We can't wait to meet here ag PS when you leave Hambone's, walk next door and get a pie to go!

Great service, good food friendly place. Menu could have a few more Cajun choices but there was enough to have variety.

You come back to a place like Happy's, and it tastes like a Michelin Star establishment compared to the seafood up in Lubbock. Where is that fish from? The ponds? Ain't no way. Happy's is a staple of Tyler. Owned by the same team as Mercados and Posados, Happy's is their only seafood establishment, and it is a fine piece of art. Inside, there's plenty of lamps and fish hanging on the walls and decor that feels strongly inspired by Mardi Gras. The truest display of their beauty is a chandelier made of Corona bottles. I was meeting my aunt and uncle for lunch with my girlfriend, and my uncle knows this place up and down. You could tell it's one of his favorite spots in Tyler by how he lit up when I suggested it as the place we go to lunch together while I was visiting. We used to go quite a bit when I was still living in Tyler, and he still knows the name of the waitresses and they love him back. I went for the Catfish Po Boy because man did it sound fire. I got it with a side of fries and fried okra. The okra was great and the fries were super crispy. The Po Boy itself was the star of the show. I unwrapped it and destroyed the entire thing. The catfish side was super crispy and delicious and had a fantastic flavor. It tasted fresh and I knew it was really special. My girlfriend got the gumbo and thought it was incredible as well along with eating half of my fried okra. Happy's might have some of the best seafood in Tyler. It's a great establishment, and I was proud to be able to show it to my visiting girlfriend as the pride and joy of some of the food Tyler has to offer. RIYL: Something fishy

The right amount of crunch with the perfect amount of Cajun seasoning! So good! I had the catfish po boy with fried okra and French fries. The bread was a good, the catfish was tasty, very thin though. The fried okra and French fries were good too. My husband had the catfish plate, also had fried okra and French fries as his side. His catfish filets were thicker than my po boy. Food was amazing with large portions. Service needs work.

We got that as appetizer, and they were fried well and tasteful. She ordered chicken fried steak, with fries and she said it was good, also broccoli, she said it was too smushy. I started my order by asking for the fried fish and shrimp, I was told that they don't have any fish, but they can add more shrimp. I decided to get the pork chop with side of squash and baked sweet potato. When waiter brought out our food, she said the sweet baked potato would take about 6 minutes or do I want another side. I said I will wait for it. We were almost done with our food, and I asked can I get the sweet potato to go, and she they forgot, and they can give me another side, I asked if I could get a side price removed. She asked her manager, and they honored it. I saw other guest getting the basked of rolls and I asked can we get some and is there extra charge. We got it with no charge, so I guess you have to ask for it. The pork chop was a bit too salty, and the squash was too sweet.
