Great food and wonderfully services. Very easy to find right off I-49N. Don't judge a book by its cover - it looks a little run down on the outside but the food was amazing. The server was so sweet and kind to my friend and I who met halfway between Dallas & Houston to catch up on old time. Many locals came & went during our two hour lunch & visit. Salsa is amazing. Fresh and good and hot. Had their beef chili Relleno and they were yummy. They put queso over their relleno's instead of the typical tomato based sauce. And it was really good. We also had veggie quesadillas and they were very good too our new favorite spot. Second time to eat here eating the same dishes food comes out, piping, hot and consistent. Honestly. I don't know why all of these bad reviews are on here. The food and salsa was excellent. The shrimp fajitas I had were very nicely seasoned. The rice was very good. There was plenty of onion and green bell peppers mixed with my fajitas. There salsa is made the way it should be made. That is considered restaurant salsa and it is soo good. This is Tex Mex people. The salsa should be hot. I even have personal stomach problems, and I didn't get sick at all. They were very accommodating and so kind. The staff was excellent and quick to serve you. Our food was delicious, and came out fast. The guacamole was AMAZING! Their homemade Salsa is exceptional and they have really good Sweet Tea! The manager on duty, Rebecca was kind, courteous and very helpful serving us and letting us know their schedule. Ceiling has huge leak in bathroom with black mold. The salsa is bland soupy. The queso has zero flavor and resembles a cheese soup instead of sauce. Ordered off the lunch special. Beef fajitas were flavorful. The chicken fajitas were tough and lacking seasoning. read more

Food was good. Restaurant needs updating. It's a little dark inside. The service was pretty good. Would I go again? You bet!

A uniquely terrible dining experience. My waitress gave me a hard time because I was wearing a mask when I walked in (none of the staff I observed were wearing them), I got to listen to the kitchen staff argue for the entirety of my meal, and then my server lectured me about Covid being a hoax and America becoming a socialist state. We stop through this exit at Woody's all the time but we never stay long. We've surprisingly never noticed this place before which I found odd as we come through several times a year. Gave it a try and really liked it. I had the flautas with ground beef, which is pretty hard to come by. I'm not a chicken fan but most places only use chicken so this was a no brainer. They were delicious and the beans were great as well. I loved their salsa, very fresh and flavorful. Also very reasonably priced. The service was great, very friendly and welcoming group of people. They do have indoor smoking in a separate area which I appreciated - hard to find that these days. The only thing stopping me from adding 5 stars is that they didn't have margaritas. I don't think this is their fault as I believe this is a dry county, but there's something weird about Mexican food on a Friday night without a margarita. I probably would have taken a virgin one just to feel closer. Other than that, I adored it and will be back when we come through town. read more

This establishment definitely has a small town feel. The table was wobbly but the restaurant was clean. The server was very sweet and knew the menu fairly well. They were very quick with our drinks, chips & salsa. The chips were good and were not stale. The salsa had a slight kick which was great, but I kept getting hit with a deep cilantro taste. Occasionally it would not be a deep cilantro taste and it was great. Was also kinda watery but tolerable. The main dish I ordered was a Big Burrito with beef fajita meat. It was great. The beef fajita meat was really good I can say the best fajita meat I have had at a Mexican restaurant. I will definitely be coming back. I have been traveling to Centerville almost monthly for many years. I have seen Robles, but never bothered trying it. Today we met there for lunch with people from Dallas. It is ideally halfway between Houston & Dallas. We were seated immediately at noon. We could see that the place was mostly occupied by locals. We were given salsa and tortilla chips as we sat down. Our drink orders were taken at the same time. Menus were already on the table, including a separate page with lunch specials. Our wonderful server, Rebecca, advised us patiently on what was available, particularly on gluten free options (there were many) for one of our party. There were even a good number of choices for the child we had with us. Some of us ordered the daily special, which was brisket tacos. They were most enjoyable. All the dishes were tasty. The pricing was more than reasonable. So... great service, really good food at good pricing. We will be back. Thank you! read more

It's not on the menu, so unless you already know about it you'll lose out. Wanted a good burger and asked my nephew which of the 3 places in town was the best. He said Robles, hands down. We went - Rebecca was a total HOOT, made our visit even more fun. Then the burger came and OMG - it was fantastic. They're handmade with fresh ground beef and absolutely amazing. I wasn't able to eat it all (it's a big burger so it hangs over the edges of the bun) and took it and most of the fries home. Reheated them in my air fryer for 5 minutes and they were amazing again! The fries were just a little crispier, and the bun on the burger got crispy but more toasted crispy than dry crispy. Thoroughly enjoyed both my dinner AND lunch on this burger! read more

Honestly I was worried about this spot as there wasn't anyone here when we arrived. Interior isn't anything to write home about just an average mom and pop shop but our server was kind and attentive. The reason for four stars though is because the food was most definitely above average. We got enchiladas, burritos, and crispy tacos and all 3 of us rated the food a stellar which was unexpected when stopping off on a long road trip. I had the worst food poisoning of my life after eating here one night. None of my three companions were affected (even the one that I shared the fajitas with). The only difference that we could remember is that they all drank with straws and I drank from the glass. Ok, it can happen anywhere, but a few weeks later my cousin ate here and had to go to the hospital with food poisoning that night. I can't bring myself to try them again. read more

I've eaten here more than l would like to admit. The main reason we eat here is due to the lack of of available, decent eateries in the Centerville area. Basically, I eat here by accident. The inside is drab and dirty. The chotchkies on the wall make it feel like someone's house who doesn't understand how to not make the inside of their house look like it should be featured in a horror movie. The only upside and it's a small upside is the food. The food reminds me of very stereotypical Tex-Mex food that somehow forgot it was food. It's bland and very boring. In fact, I take back what I said about the upside being the food. The food is terrible and I just bumped this review from two stars to one star. Don't eat here. read more

We were driving back from Dallas to Houston and already had bbq at Woody's Smokehouse on the way there - so we decided to try out this hole-in-the-wall TexMex place. We walk in and there were only two other tables so we were skeptical of the place. We look over the CHEAP options, the places starts filling up! It appeared there were a ton of regulars showing up after church let out. My fiance said they had the best tamales he's ever had. I was pleasantly surprised with my taco salad with fajita chicken. Good food, friendly staff. We always stop here on the way to Galveston and it's been good every time. This is not a chain type restaurant which we look for. My daughter got the quesadilla plate and it was huge, we could have split it, but more importantly it was good. I got a combo meal with a crispy taco, cheese enchilada, beef burrito, rice and beans. I could not finish it all. My husband ate it along with his tamale, chicken enchilada, crispy taco, rice and beans. The dinner with sodas was 35$. That's not bad for a family of 3 when nobody orders kids meals anymore. Taste is always more important than quantity but here you get both. read more

The food was bland and had no type of seasoning but it's no surprise seeing the people who run the restaurant. The service they had was awful me and my family went and they didn't refill our drinks or give us any napkins but with other costumers they did. I felt some type of discrimination since we were the only people of color in the restaurant at the time. over all I would give this restaurant a -10 since the service we received was terrible even McDonald's would give better costumer service. read more

I haven't been to this "restaurant" in about a year now because the place is overall shitty. No one welcomes you when you walk in; they just look at you like you don't belong there. The staff (waitresses) is rude and seems bothered to do their job. EVERY time I have been there is at least one not completely clean dish that ends up on my table. The atmosphere is overall uncomfortable; not welcoming at all. The guy that said this place looks like a front for money laundering probably hit the nail on the head. The whole operation is incredibly unprofessional. However, if you are in town, there is a GREAT Mexican food restaurant downtown on the square. The name is Fonda. The food is a million times better, the staff is way friendlier, and the overall atmosphere and cleanliness is way better than Robles. read more

I lived in Centerville for 2 years and let me assure you: you're better off eating at even Dairy Queen. I'm used to eating garbage food and never complain but DAMN. I'd consider this the worst restruant in my life. The salsa is just a thick sauce, there's no vegetables in it, it's just a paste. The enchiladas are basically TV dinners that don't have any burns on them. DONT EAT HERE, just hop across the street and order some bomb ribs from Woodeys. read more
