Like any savvy business person, he had the capability to accept debt card with a simple device he attached to his phone. As with nearly any service or good, there are typically 3 general considerations: speed, quality, price. We all WANT things to be fast, cheap, and good, but oftentimes, you can only realistically get two. This is no exception. But I recognize I'm paying for my own stupidity (leaving the keys in the house) and relative convenience of fast & excellent service. But it did cost $135. Yesterday was a long tiring day. I got home from work around 9:30pm hungry, tired and cold with a very hungry dog. However, my door knob won't turn and I can't get in the house. I got on yelp, called the closest 24/7 locksmith, left a voicemail and about 12 hours later still haven't heard back. Back on yelp, found Devin, called him at 9:34PM. He answered the phone, had me text him my address and was at my house at 10:03PM, from Oakland to Walnut Creek, so he left immediately to come help. By 10:38, he had dismantled my lock, got the door open, put the lock back together, identified the problem and permanently fixed it (which a different locksmith didn't do 3 months ago). I've lived here 4 months and have been fighting with this lock the entire time. He was competent, kind, great with my dog and personable. Needed an emergency re-keying of our house doors on a weekday night and called Devin around 8:30 PM. Can't say enough about Two Wheeled Locksmith. I purchased a Yale lock and it says they are easy to install. So glad I didn't try to do it myself. I'm pretty handy, but I could tell watching Derick do the installation it needed someone with lots of experience in this area. He was very efficient and I'm sure if I had to do it myself it would have probably taken me a very long time. First of all he is extremely responsive, this is such a rare quality for any business these days. Wonderful customer service, and I didn't feel rushed when I had questions regarding the lock installation. Derick's prices are also very reasonable for the service that you get. The lock was installed pretty quickly and Derick took care to make sure that everything worked properly. He did the little things like cleaning up the wood in the bolt slot to make sure the mechanized lock didn't have any problems opening or closing. Absolutely delighted with the service Devin provided. The lock to my front door had been changed a few years ago and it was not done well. The deadbolt no longer functioned and, over time, it took two hands to remove the key from the lock. Finally, the lock failed to function entirely. Devin fixed everything. He showed up when he said he would (late in the day) and worked until everything functioned properly. As a bonus, he is a really pleasant guy to chat with. I used these fellows on a recommendation from a friend. Wow! i have an older file cabinet for which i lost the keys. They came out. Fortunately, the cabinet was open. They the look with them with the intent to replace it. They called and said the lock was no longer available but, that they had found they key code and could make a key for it. The the blank was unavailable. The took took two copies of a similar bank and ground each them Manually! Devon brought te keys and lock back and installed it. The keys work absolutely perfectly. The was no attempt to up the original quote. it was best experience i had in many a day. Devon and his crew know that his customers are the most important part of Two Wheeled. Devin is such an awesome locksmith. I had him come out to fix one of my gate lock that got jammed and broke on me. He didn't have the exact replacement parts on him and if he was to order it, I would have to wait a few weeks for it to arrive. I did not have the time to wait for the parts to arrive so he suggested he could do a custom piece to make it work. Holy moly when he went to work I can see he totally know what he was doing and his years of being a locksmith shows. He got the custom part to work and now my lock is working better than it was new. Funny how these things work, but the one day I happened to move my spare key from its hiding place was the same day that my screen door slammed behind me as I got my mail and I was locked out! Both keys were now in the house and I had no way of getting in as my Oakland home is barred and caged and pretty much impenetrable to the common man (good to know but not so much in this instance).
