Then, we didn't see our waitress for a long time until we finally asked the water guy to ask her to stop by. Which took a while again. We ordered more drinks. My son's soda was flat and my old fashioned tasted like it had a bite like rye vs bourbon, but I ignored it and drank it. About halfway through it changed to sweet - but so sweet it was like drinking syrup. It was never stirred so the bottom half was undrinkable. We asked for our waitress to get the check, and asked her to remove the flat soda and my old fashioned. She brought the check, nothing was removed. I explained again and asked the drinks to be removed. Next the bar manager came to our table. She explained to me how old fashioneds are made, that they're never stirred. And some people sip them, some drink them with a straw. I've drank old fashioneds for many years. They are always stirred. And never drank with a straw. But she claimed she's made these for years. Someone else came and told us she could take off the soda but not the old fashioned. I said I only drank half as they took it away. Well they won't take it off. So I asked for half my drink back if I have to pay for it. They gave me a new small drink. It was terrible. We paid the check, tipped the waitress in cash (she did nothing wrong other than being too busy). I cannot get over the bar manager speaking to me that way. We will not be back.

While I had heard great things about this restaurant, I hadn't been in yet. I'm sure glad we chose to come here. Since I'm perpetually early, I went to have a beer at the bar while waiting and had a chance to peruse the happy hour menu. Lots of good stuff here including many beers and cocktails. This menu is available until 6 pm during the week. Bartender was a doll and gave me the skinny on all her favorites for both the happy hour and regular menus. Bar seats maybe 15 people and a tv above will keep a solo flyer busy for a bit. Once my buddy arrived, we were seated in the dining room toward the back. A great space able to seat many patrons. Larger groups can easily be accommodated. Our server Zack was awesome and came by just often enough. He also did a great job spacing out our courses so as not to overload our table. We started with soup and then had one of the starts of the evening- sliced seared tuna. This was a reco from the earlier mentioned bartender and it was a super home run. So were the Bang Bang Tacos. ( another reco from our great bartender food guru.) My friend said his salmon was good but not great and I had a burger that Zack recommended. Cooked perfectly, juicy and delicious, this was an incredible burger and I could have taken at least half home. I didn't because it was so good and I felt stuffed when it was finished. We didn't stop there though - the dessert menu looked awesome and I wasn't going to miss it. Coffee and snifter of Chambord matched with the cinnamon apple explosion was the "icing on the cake" Great meal and service. Will definitely come back and the sooner the better.

Portions are generous and the best dish of the night was the Dancing Shrimp appetizer (fried shrimp wrapped in kataifi). Overall, wouldn't mind coming back here if in the area but wouldn't go out of my way to visit. One of the best features of the restaurant is the ambiance accompanied by good service. Bar is lively on weekends, and the dining area is spacious for table parties of 4-6.

Arriving, the space is bright and airy. At the table there was a lovely potted plant with our reservation name which we were able to take home with us. Such a nice touch. The trivia was really fun and something different to do. We started off with the maple bacon donut holes for the table. They came out piping hot and had the perfect donut texture. They were so good. They have a lot of cocktails and cocktails to choose from. I opted for the Spritz which was a light Aperol Spritz and it was perfect for brunch. The Paloma was also quite good. I had the Tap Stack which was pancakes layered with bacon and topped with a corn flake crusted chicken cutlet. The portion was large and hearty. The chicken was so crunchy and yummy. The bacon was perfectly cooked. The pancakes were a bit on the tough and dry side. The breakfast burrito, BEC and brunch burger were all good and everyone enjoyed their meals. Mother's Day is a day I always avoided eating out on, but Taproom changed my mind about going out on Mother's Day could actually be enjoyable!

A Masterclass in Hospitality: Father's Day Brunch at 270 Post Restaurant…read more From the moment we stepped through the doors of 270 Post Restaurant in Westbury for their Father's Day brunch, we knew we were in for something extraordinary. This Haitian-owned gem didn't just host a meal; they curated a beautiful, unforgettable experience that perfectly honored the fathers in our lives. The Ambience "Hors Pair" The decor is simply hors pair unmatched and breathtaking. The restaurant strikes a flawless balance between contemporary elegance and welcoming warmth. Every corner feels intentionally designed, creating a sophisticated backdrop that elevates the entire dining experience. It is easily one of the most stunning spaces in the area. The Culinary Experience and a Show Stopping Dessert The food was nothing short of excellent. Every dish that arrived at our table was a triumph of flavor, beautifully presented, and cooked to absolute perfection. You can taste the passion and skill in every bite, blending high-end culinary execution with a soulfulness that kept us reaching for more. The true crown jewel of the meal came at the very end. We tried the Cognac Cake, introduced to us as Lionel's personal favorite, and it completely stole the show. rich, decadent and perfectly balanced, it left my palate absolutely hungry for more. it is an absolute must try that you will be thinking long after you leave. Impeccable Service & Heartfelt Hospitality What truly sets 270 Post Restaurant apart, however, is its service. The staff was impeccable, attentive, seamless, and deeply polite, ensuring our glasses were never empty and our needs were always met with a smile. The highlight of the afternoon was the unparalleled hospitality of the owner. In a beautiful, incredibly generous gesture that spoke volumes about their character, the owner personally gifted us a bottle of wine to celebrate the occasion. It is rare to find an establishment where the leadership is so genuinely invested in the happiness of their guests. The Verdict As a proud Haitian-owned establishment, 270 Post is setting a gold standard for luxury dining on Long Island. They delivered a Father's Day brunch filled with top-tier gastronomy, stunning aesthetics, and a level of hospitality that makes you feel like family. We left with full stomachs and incredibly grateful hearts. Thank you Lionel and Falysha for making Father's Day a day to remember. We will absolutely be back, and we cannot recommend you and your team highly enough!

Post 270 is an upscale carribbean fusion resturant in westbury, centrally located with great decor and spacing. The servers were friendly and professional. We ordered apps..the lobster tostones was a treat, the shrimp fritters full of flavor and the oysters perfection. However, our mains were lacking. The oxtail lomein while delicious needed some additional veggies to balance the richness, the creole fried rice stated djorn djorn black rice but was more like a Asian fried rice than haitian and my biggest complaint was the brazino that was served. The menu stated whole fish but I recieved a thin filet and a plate full of vegetables. The waitress did ask the chef before my order was placed about the fish because I asked about the pairings that the menu stated but the sides were different that nite. The lack of communication between the kitchen n staff was a turn off for me. Especially when your mind is set on your meal. I spoke with the manger and she was very accomodating..apologized and remedied the situation. I would love to go back for a date or girls night and give it another try. I can tell it is a resturant that is still making tweaks in its buissness
