    Spicy Kani Salad

Hidden gem in Syosset near dirty taco, taking on hand rolls as their speciality. It's small and dim in here but provides great ambiance. The food was very fresh and delicious and the service was fast. Came in just a little over a half hour before closing and they were more than accommodating. While I do think there are better sushi spots in the area, I think dozo dozo is one to try!

I just had a great experience here! So much so that I went back in the same week! The staff was super friendly and the food came out quickly. When one of my hand rolls took a bit longer than expected, I was given a complimentary glass of wine to make up for it. I recommend the crispy spicy tuna or crispy spicy yellowtail, SO good!

Great service, extremely friendly and super attentive. My Omakase, was everything I hoped for and thoroughly explained. The fish was the most perfect temperature and the taste of each plate served was amazing. I don't eat eggs and I actually devoured the egg tasting. My guest enjoyed their soup and the sake was lovely. We left a cell and when we returned the restaurant was closed but the gentleman host was in the lot and ran up to assist us in retrieving the cell phone. I really enjoyed my meal

Service was top notch . Food was delicious. I came here for the omakase experience for $120. - @ 15 course deal. And well worth it! I'm not a fan of ikura. However, they made it super tasty alongside the uni..I'm so speechless. The best one I had tasted was the Toro w uni. And Toro w something else. Sorry I can't remember I was too bz stuffing my face. One would think 15 pieces of sush/ sashimi i? That's not filling! . however.... and I say this lightly.... I was super stuffed by the end of my meal. -no I was super stuffed in the middle fo my meal that I requested for less rice on my.sushi pieces. No need to trek to the city for good omakase. Dozo dozo is the place to satisfy that craving. By far theee best I've ever had! Needless to say. I def recommend!

The place is intimate and cozy and their sushi is fresh and delicious! Love that they had variety of selection of fish and the cuts were generously served. Love that this place has ample amount of parking and its more laid back. My kids also loved the tempura udon. The broth savory and the noodles were super chewy perfectly cooked. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable. Def worth a try if you are in the mood for japanese food.

I got the sushi-sashimi combination. The sushi was fresh. One of my favorite sushi spots on Long Island for the quality of fish. The service was great as well. Will definitely be coming back.

Had omakase here, every piece was very fresh and delicious, a rare gem on Long Island. Although I loved my dinner, I was hoping for more creativity in each fish, I felt most of the flavors were pretty one note. The children were also very hungry due to the slow service, our server was running and his forehead had beads of sweat so I assume they might just have been short staffed for the night. It was a pleasant dinner and I would definitely come back for my omakase fix, hopefully things improved even more!

Went on a Monday when a lot of other sushi places are typically closed. I am happy to report that the fish was very fresh. We did the omakase. It is $120 a person for 15 tastings. They also offer 10% cash discount. The staff were very attentive. The inside is very modern and clean. The omakase was a great experience with various different flavor profiles. I liked that the omakase included appetizers and dessert. Definitely would recommend.

Excellent omakaze for Long Island. Can't go wrong here. Top notch food quality and good ambience. Good choice for date night or business dinner.

    Cod appetizer

Delicious! We went for the omakase but having been seated by the chefs, we got to see everything that was being made and if all looked amazing. The fish was extremely fresh and creatively plated. The chefs were very friendly and they explained each dish nicely. Our waiter was also very helpful, friendly and welcoming. The ambiance is very warm and inviting but modern and clean. Would recommend for a group of friends or even a date night. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area.

The place was decorated with red heart balloons everywhere. My daughter loved this and wanted to take one. She wasn't able to, but the really nice sushi chefs did give her kani, which she loved. We started with hot tea, which was delicious. Kumo has a great lunch special. I took advantage of it and got the sushi and sashimi special. It consisted of a tuna roll, 5 pieces of sushi and 10 pieces of sashimi. Was very filling, fresh and delicious. Came with miso soup and salad. I enjoyed the salad, but their miso soup wasn't so great. I did not finish it. My husband also took advantage of the lunch special and ordered the 3 roll combo. He really enjoyed all of his rolls. My daughter had the tatsuta age. She absolutely loved it as it was basically chicken nuggets with panko. She is a huge chicken nugget fan and it's hard to find her things to eat usually at Japanese places as she isn't a fan of teriyaki chicken. Happy to know she likes this as well as Kani now. We will be back

I ordered the soba noodles with chicken and vegetables to take out and the dish contained 80% greasy noodles with a smattering of chicken and a little green from an unidentifiable vegetable. I feel so sick right now with stomach pains from all the grease that tasted like rancid lard. I should have brought it back but did not want the inconvenience. The only positive thing to say about this place is that their sushi is decent. Someone else ordered the vegetable teriyaki and got 2 pieces of broccoli and a carrot as their vegetables. No pea pods, bok choy, water chestnuts, onions, peppers, string beans etc. Just miserly portions with lots of oil, filler and hardly any protein or vegetables. Also their prices are sky high and their quality scrapes the bottom of the barrel. Never Again!!!

I found this place on Find Me Gluten and was so excited to try it. The staff were so kind and very well informed about my allergies. The entire menu can be customized to be gluten-free. They told me they have seperate, dedicated fryers for items like tempura and that the only items that I couldn't have were the tamago, eel, imitation crab and the dumplings. We got an order of the shrimp and vegetable tempura and the Rock shrimp (which was suggested to us by the staff). Both were absolutely delicious. They gave me my own gluten-free dipping sauce for the tempura as well as gluten-free soy sauce. We split the sushi for 2 and they made sure the tamago my husband ordered for himself wasn't touching my pieces. I had the lox roll with that and we ordered a Las Vegas roll to split, which was customized to remove the imitation crab and swapped for shrimp instead. Everything was fresh and absolutely delicious, especially the salmon. I was so happy to enjoy a wonderful meal like this again. They gave us some sashimi on the house and some fresh honeydew for dessert. The place was beautifully decorated and very clean. To top it all off there were no extra charges for making anything gluten-free! I will gladly come back here again.

When I think of hibachi, I think of Benihana, which I feel is not really authentic Japanese but Americanized food. Kind of like Panda Express for Chinese food. But I trust this friend so we went with them. My wife and my wedding anniversary was coming up so we told them and they prepared a special setting with rose petals and also a special dessert. So nice!! Omakase means to leave it up to the chef on what to eat and the chef's selections were amazing! Lobster, sweet shrimp, Uni, A5 wagyu, fatty tuna and other delicious selections. We also had a sake they recommended, which went so well with the food. The complimentary dessert was probably my favorite. All in all, a great meal. We just had omakase at Inatome recently and if i had to pick the best, I would probably say Inatome but it is very close. Sasa is much easier to get to so if you don't want to drive to Valley Stream, go to Sasa. TIP: make sure you make reservations in advance because they have to procure the seafood for the omakase.

The salmon teriyaki bento-box, Yaki, udon, chicken teriyaki, seafood soondubu soup (surprised to see that on the menu ) and lastly, one of their special rolls. The salmon teriyaki was cooked pretty well no complaints came with a sushi roll and beef negimake, shrimp tempura all cooked well. The Yaki udon and chicken teriyaki were cooked well too really no complaints with any of the food. Service was adequate nothing special , the booths were a little bit uncomfortable I would advise sitting at the tables with regular chairs instead.
