Stop hiring girls who know nothing about customer service! I was literally standing across the counter from the sales girl who never acknowledged us, never offered help, shit, didn't even say hello. I would never buy something from here when the sales people can't be bothered. Total joke! read more

I'm visiting from New York, I was trying to find a lovely boutique in San Francisco. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this place. The customer service is not very pleasant. I was in the boutique for 15 minutes and never got greeted with a hello or can I help you? The clothes are very casual read more

I came into browse after seeing very cute items in the window. I was never greeted nor really acknowledged by two salespeople in their late 20s, discussing how they are saving up for one of the items in the store. Why are they snooty when their customers can afford the items in the store more than the salespeople are able to? I scoffed at the pricing. $300 cotton blouses and $600 cotton dresses. The store does have great brands like A Piece Apart, but the store could actually make more sales if the salespeople could be bothered to just say HI to the store's patrons. read more

I had heard a lot of great things about this fine establishment and I wasn't disappointed in fact I was impressed with the vast selection of Luxury Women's Wear Brands. It literally is like walking into a candy store except for the fact that serious fashion is happening in Two Skirts! And yes, even I found a great buy and product my new BANDOLIER iPhone Holder with the matching Silver Stud Zipper Pouch to hold all my Loot & Credit Cards...it's priceless because I found it on sale! I will be back...for sure! Job well done Two Skirts! read more

I bought almost $700 worth of merchandise from this store and 6 days later came back to return a pair of Jean shorts and they would not give me a refund. Ten receipt I received didn't say returns were store credit only and there is one tiny sign placed near only 1 of the registered which states this policy. And even though no where on the receipt that I received did it say that their return policy was store credit only -they told me they gave me the wrong receipt-. The sales person was so rude to me-telling me to stop yelling at her-which I was absolutely not. It's unacceptable for stores not to give you your own money back-especially since their policy was not communicated to me or on the receipt. Buy your clothes elsewhere-you can find all the same clothing online and likely for much less. read more

I can't say enough about Two Skirts. One of my favorite boutiques to shop in, even if it's just for browsing. Although on the pricier side, all the girls are so educated about the brands, fits, sizes, and comfort so when you go home, you go home happy, you practically get a personal shopper every time you walk in. The customer service is fantastic and they constantly have new products that are on-trend fashion and beautiful collections. Bring a couple of extra quarters for this adventure for parking, because it's hard to leave! read more

I was looking so hard for the perfect pair of everyday jeans and a dress for an event. The women at Two Skirts were able to find jeans and a dress that fit me perfectly. I got so many complements on my new clothes. Next time I am looking for the perfect piece I know where to go. Everything in the store is beautiful! read more

I have been shopping at this store a few times and always found something cute to buy for my wife!!! However, I recently stopped by the store to check on their sales and witnessed the Manager laughing at one of her customer after she left. The comments were about her weight and so inappropriate. She was having this discussion with her sales associates right in front of me (I was checking out)!! Seriously, I couldn't believe she has made those comments and did not want to imagine what she would say about me when I left the store. I will NEVER go back to that store, it is a question of principle!! You lost a customer today!! Get over yourself, looking at other reviews, you should reconsider your attitude and feel lucky to still be open!! read more

Properly named two skirts: one skirt for the snobby attitude and another skirt for the atrocious customer service. Apparently last week when my friend and I visited, they couldn't decide, so they wore both. We were perusing the store and I saw a sales girl walk by me and ignore me. That's fine since I was just looking at random stuff. Here comes the real jerky part - my friend was at the counter looking at their watches and accessories. She was waiting to see a watch and I walked over to wait with her while a sales girl was at the register doing whatever she was doing. We waited patiently and it was pretty obvious we were waiting to ask for help or whatever. I mean, I could be wrong...maybe she thought we were standing there just admiring her from afar. There was another customer standing nearby looking at clothing with a dog and the sales girl walks over to greet the dog and tell it how cute it was. WHAT?! That seemed really messed up to me. Anyway, so my friend just said loudly, well, I guess she doesn't want to help me at all. Not a word from the sales girl. She just continued to talk to the dog. My mind is blown. Okay, you just chose to talk to a dog over a human being. There are places like dog hotels and dog boutiques and I'm sure they would LOVE that you talk to their dog customers, but ma'am this is a clothing store for HUMANS, please greet and talk to the HUMANS. We will generally talk back. Just sayin'. read more

Praise the lord! I've found just what I've been looking for: An overpriced Marina boutique where I can listen to the saleswomen sing along to their Miley Cyrus music, gossip, and watch them try on the boutique's clothes! All while I shop with zero of their help. I can't wait to go back. Thanks Two Skirts! read more

Oh Two Skirts...you are like a classic monet thats beautiful from afar but up close its a real mess! Clearly my fellow yelpers and I agree on the fact that your RUDE sales people and general unprofessional lack of service is going to contribute to your massive decline in reputation ( which has already begun fyi). Two lines in a few magazines does not justify trying to sell overpriced clothes that can be found at any Bloomies or Nordstrom. When I walked in, there was no greeting, no offer to help, a NO hold policy and generally childish atmosphere. The sales girls were chatting, gossiping and if you think they are talking about you, you are probably 100% right. They also help themselves to try on the clothes ( heard a sales girl saying she was going to try it on), must be nice huh? Two Skirts, you are quite embaressing to the Marina community. There are lovely stores in the area and some that actually care. I hope you dont survive because you trully lost a customer today. Advice: People buy from people they like and people dont like you! read more

Two skirts is how many you can buy from this place in your lifetime. Well, not really, but the clothes ARE pricey. (ex. I eyed a beautiful blouse.....checked out the tag, ahhhh $200 and something....put the blouse right back where I found it.) Oh and the staff are way into assisting themselves and their friends, very rude. Entertaining to watch the scene, but very unprofessional. Super cute clothes vs. super rude staff, you decide read more

The staff is very friendly and helpful. They are all educated and have years of styling experience. You feel like your friends are there as they are very honest and not pushy at all! The store shows a variety of brands from all over the world from shoes, bags, denim, dresses, and Jewelry, a true one stop shop! Best boutique in SF, love supporting the local girls and this great business! read more

Overpriced, bad customer service and horrible return/exchange policy. 24 hour return policy, that I wasn't told about until I went to return a pair of heels a week later. A pair of heels mind you, I wasn't sure about them fitting correctly. A pair of heels that the sales woman pressured me into getting and not telling me about this policy.(granted I chose to buy them). I would never have gotten them had I known this policy. In my mind I was like "ok i'll take them and think about them at home and see how I feel." I would never had purchased them if there was only 24 hours to make up my mind. I dont live in the area and wouldnt have been able to get back to the store for at least 3 days. read more

My fiancé bought a pair of sale white jeans from size 26. Final sale purchased but since her size no need to return them. They had 27 in the 26 she literally noticed it at brunch right after buying them. They still in the bag they had them miss marked. She went in there to show them so get the right size but size didn't have her size they said sorry final sale we can't help you. Literally sold her wrong size missed located by them. Literally notice turn around not even take item out wrapping or bad and they treat like that definitely wouldn't shop here. That's wrong to make someone pay mistake they made literally wasn't even hour and wasn't even out of there wrapping. Give no stars if it was option. read more

Update: Two skirts sold me a bottle of rotten Kai perfume. I went back for an exchange, and they did so gladly, even though I didn't have the box or receipt. This experience was far better then any other experience I've had in the store. My thoughts in general remain the same though: ugly, overpriced stuffy clothes, not for anyone with any taste or style, but beautiful hand bag selection. read more

Some relatively okay clothes...nothing I thought was super awesome, but the prices were INSANE. Also, it's next to impossible to park on this part of Chestnut Street. read more

If I were to ever own a boutique, I would want it to be an exact replica of Two Skirts. Walking in the door you feel immediately welcomed with the sophisticated decor, the adorable clothing and the extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Their attention to detail is impeccable as every piece of clothing is even better than the next. Their sales are AWESOME! And their jewelry and jean collection is unrivaled by any other store on Chestnut. Which makes me want to defend the store against some of the recent negative reviews. Being a frequent shopper there, I have NEVER experienced any rude or inappropriate behavior from any of the staff (nor have I witnessed any). The girls are always so attentive and make me feel like they are just as excited about me finding the perfect pair of jeans or cocktail dress as I am. So future shoppers, I urge you to visit Two Skirts on your own and see for yourself the wonderful service I have ALWAYS received. Not to mention the exquisite collection of clothing they have to offer. And I guarantee that you too will come to love it just as much as I do. read more

This gem of a boutique nestled on Chestnut Street is truly one of a kind! From the SUPER friendly & helpful shop owner and sales staff to the unique labels and very stylish threads. Great finds like buttery leather belts and cashmere tops (Christopher Fisher & Souchi), awesome party dresses (Tibi & Cynthia Steffe), a million pairs of trendy jeans to choose from (Hudson), and tons of other layering pieces...go there and tell them I sent you.... p.s. the other reviews are WAY OFF base...the salesgirls are very nice, not pushy, and the clothes are beautiful. there's no reason to "bash" this boutique, it's top notch. read more

A dude's perspective... do with it what you will. I like the place. Space is great, stuff they have is well selected and matches what I think my bride will enjoy. For gift giving, this place makes it easy - and the staff concerns I read about below are a bit over the top. From the tone alone of the people writing below the reviewers are the snotty ones! I walked in with a smile, got one in return... got plenty of good advice, and didn't even buy anything yet! As for the comments on the $... please kids, you are in the Marina at a trendy store with great arrangements. It is slight luxury.. and you pay for that. I don't mean to be a snot, but don't walk into places with unreasonable expectations. If you're looking for a sycophantic Gap Sales Girl... why not go there? Or if you are really only coming in and heading straight to the sale rack... why not head to TJ Maxx or Ross? read more

EEEKS, time to duck! A lot of tomato throwing here. Don't hate me, but I don't hate the store. I've only been here a couple of times - each visit with my 7 month old son. Now, either they really like babies or they like my son. Whatever the case, I haven't experienced rude service. I guess if you like the merchandise but not the people, grab the nearest baby and go in! read more

Bought one of my favorite handbags here. It's got awesome design, and it's vegan, and it's less than $200!! They have great selections of clothes, jewelry, and shoes. The girls here are pretty friendly and helpful. The fitting rooms are huge, and nice couch for your other half. It's my favorite store on Chestnut I think, somehow it just works for me. read more

Lovely boutique with chic decor and my favorite brands - Milly, Alice + Olivia, Parker, Halston Heritage, and Paige just to name a few! After reading the negative reviews I was nervous about the customer service (especially since I'm not your stereotypical stick thin, blonde marina gal). But, the saleswoman was super friendly, and I ended up finding my bridal shower dress here! Impressive considering that I'd already scoured through BCBG, Alice + Olivia, Bloomys, Saks, and basically every other option in SF. Much nicer quality than most of the boutiques in the Marina, incl. an awesome dressing room area! read more

I LOVE TWO SKIRTS! Not only do I love their clothes and bags...and shoes.......and jewelry...I LOVE the manager Cassie and the Owner, Amanda. They are always so helpful whenever I come in! Cassie doesn't lie to get you to buy something, she will lay it out there and tell me that a dress looks horrible on me - I really appreciate their honesty and the welcoming/comfortable shopping environment they have created! I only wish I had more time after work to go there! read more

I really like this place. They have a great selection of modern clothing designers and a small selection of shoes. After reading the other reviews here, I have to say I think the critique of customer service is a matter of personal taste. I actually don't like to be bombarded with "can i help you?" and "is there something you are looking for?" and worse yet, " can I put that in a dressing room for you?" just because you want to look at something off the rack. Maybe this is why I like ecommerce so much? or maybe that's why I like Two Skirts- because they don't harass you when you walk in the door?!! This is not to say the sales people are not helpful, because they have given me opinions good/and bad for several years. They also are great about helping people I give GCs too. Oh, and when I bring my kids in they talk to them, hold them, play with them while I look around. So helpful!!!! read more

Like a sociopathic boyfriend, I like the look and feel of what is on the outside but I don't love it to death and feel I need to take it home immediately for fear of being left heartbroken with a broken wallet. Two skirts has some amazing tops that are priced a tad outside of my comfort zone but are none the less cute. My friend made a beeline to the sale section and I walked through from wall to wall to see if there was anything to my liking. A button up blue and white shirt with flared 3/4 length sleeves, oh yes please. I looked at the price and wished I could have worked that shirt into this Dresshunt 2010 adventure but walked away from it. Temptation, dirty rotten temptation. The salespeople were okay, not very helpful to me. I guess if one looks like they're wandering aimlessly and sort of at the last leg of a very long weekend of shopping and window shopping you put off a vibe that says leave me alone. But then again they were having a conversation of their own near the register and the store was filled with quite a few customers so hmm. Not my cup of tea, I'll stick to the trusteed boutiques that don't leave me broke and heartbroken and where I don't feel guilty spending half my rent on more than 1 item. read more

Wow, I am very surprised my some of these reviews! I have been shopping at Two Skirts for years and have always had a wonderful experience. All the girls are very helpful, they make me feel comfortable, they are honest, they call me when things come in they think I might like, the clothes are fabulous, the best designers. Frankly, it is one of the main places I shop at. I have lived in the Marina for over 15 years and I am thrilled to have Two Skirts in our neighborhood. They have everything you need from jeans to a dress for a Wedding; every occasion! Cassie, and Amanda, the owner, have been consistent with their service since the first day I walked in; friendly, helpful and honest. I love this store and will always shop there! read more

I didn't have a bad experience here like many of the reviews here seem to denote, but enjoyed the variety of cute clothes they had here. Would come back when I'm back in the area. read more

Two skirts has a few cute things, but it has the most horrible customer service. I don't know if the owner is miserable, and it filters down to the sales people being uncomfortable. A dreadful shopping experience. With its very limited selection, and unwelcoming atmosphere, it is worth taking the time to go to Fill ore Street or Union Square!! Stay away. read more

Hate to give a 2 star since they have such cute stuff buuuut I am SUPER disappointed in the customer service. I was becoming a frequent shopper and I asked the SA to order me a watch--(even offered to pay up front) and to call me when their next shipment came in. Never. Got. A. Phone. Call. I tried supporting a local business but had to hit up Shopbop to get my watch. There are SO many stores that carry the brands they do in the city and follow up with their customers. read more

Clothing is VERY expensive but BEAUTIFULLY made, so the pricing at least makes sense. The staff were REALLY nice. The lady that helped me (a blond one?), was great. She was helpful but not too in your face and even gave me good fashion advice for an outfit (when I asked of course). They are fast and very nice. ... again, the clothing in this store is BEAUTIFUL! read more

If you don't personally know the sales gals or shop there all the time, and are about to drop close to a grand, don't expect personal service, or if you know exactly what you need, & don't need help, great! If you need heels for a gown, mmmmmmmm....maybe....if the 3 gals aren't helping another customer with her gown. Great clothes, they sell themselves will hold thing for you've you need to think things over for $800.00. OR HAVE NO $$$ ON YOU. Great!!! I left very dissatisfied, and without that "personal touch" mmmmmmmmmmm........take my biz to someone that will appreciate it/could well use it!!!! Hate to be such a complainer, this is the 2nd time, I was about to spend a grand today.....nevermind! read more

Stopped in here on a recent trip to San Francisco. What a wonderful store - so beautiful and bright with lovely sales girls. I loved all of the fall clothing they had - such lovely colours - maybe not the best for Southern California weather but I picked up some new denim. Great designers and selection. Definitely dangerous for your credit card! Cheers! read more

Such incredibly rude sales people. Consistently. I stopped in this weekend on my way back from a walk by the Marina, and picked up a very cute top. One of the sales clerks approached me and asked if I wanted to start a room. I asked her if she could just put it aside for me so that I could come back later that afternoon after I showered (which was only polite - I could have thrown it on in my post-workout state since all I'd done was walk). She took the top from me, informed me that "we don't do holds" and put it back on the rack, end of story, no apologies (nor did she ask me if I wanted to try it on once I heard the no hold policy). Ridiculous. I can buy all the same brands at NM, Macy's, Barneys, Bloomies, and Nordstrom - and they will ALL hold the merchandise and treat me politely. Ugh - she's lost my business forever, and as a very frequent shopper, that is no small matter. read more

Fantastic job by the visual merchandiser at Two Skirts. The Tory Burch patent Charlotte slingbacks in the window caught my eye as I walked by, and in 2 minutes I spent $250. read more

There are a lot of very pricey boutiques in San Francisco, and I like to boutique shop. I can always find a way to justify an expensive "one of a kind" item. While Two Skirts has some unique clothing, they carry the same designers as Brown Eyed Girl, Sarah Shaw, and Heidi Says. What really sets Two Skirts apart from the other trendy and $$$ boutiques is the RUDE staff. They talked amongst themselves, never once saying hello or asking if I needed help-and I did. I had to go to them and wait for them to finish telling thier story about how drunk they were on Saturday night, before they would help me. I will NEVER GO BACK. read more

RUDE RUDE RUDE! ack! do NOT come here....just look at the other reviews, and that will pretty much predict your experience at this store. I actually loved most of their clothes (although they're on the pricey side, the quality of what they have to offer is worth it). HOWEVER, you can find everything in their store in at least 10 other boutiques in the Marina area alone! The sales girls are airhead bimbos who remind me of the dumb trio from "Mean Girls." First of all, why judge whether a potential customer can afford something in your store before they even have a chance to walk through the doorway?! I ended up buying what I wanted (Tory Burch flats) from Nordstrom instead. Besides, don't you guys make minimum wage?!?! What do you have to be snotty about?! read more

I would give it four to five stars for the clothing, but bumping it down to two for the customer service ... or lack there of. I walked in this afternoon looking for some new Fall clothes and the woman working the store couldn't be bothered to even look up from the conversation she was having with a friend. I get it's hard to be away from your baby (I could hear the convo as I was perusing), but even a smile and hello would have been nice. Guess I'll be shopping elsewhere as customer service is usually the only reason to shop at boutiques like this rather than Saks/Neimans/Bloomies that have much larger selections. read more
