But, the saleswoman was super friendly, and I ended up finding my bridal shower dress here! I came into browse after seeing very cute items in the window. I was never greeted nor really acknowledged by two salespeople in their late 20s, discussing how they are saving up for one of the items in the store. Why are they snooty when their customers can afford the items in the store more than the salespeople are able to? I scoffed at the pricing. $300 cotton blouses and $600 cotton dresses. I had heard a lot of great things about this fine establishment and I wasn't disappointed in fact I was impressed with the vast selection of Luxury Women's Wear Brands. It literally is like walking into a candy store except for the fact that serious fashion is happening in Two Skirts! And yes, even I found a great buy and product my new BANDOLIER iPhone Holder with the matching Silver Stud Zipper Pouch to hold all my Loot & Credit Cards...it's priceless because I found it on sale! I bought almost $700 worth of merchandise from this store and 6 days later came back to return a pair of Jean shorts and they would not give me a refund. Ten receipt I received didn't say returns were store credit only and there is one tiny sign placed near only 1 of the registered which states this policy. And even though no where on the receipt that I received did it say that their return policy was store credit only -they told me they gave me the wrong receipt-. The sales person was so rude to me-telling me to stop yelling at her-which I was absolutely not. It's unacceptable for stores not to give you your own money back-especially since their policy was not communicated to me or on the receipt. I can't say enough about Two Skirts. One of my favorite boutiques to shop in, even if it's just for browsing. Although on the pricier side, all the girls are so educated about the brands, fits, sizes, and comfort so when you go home, you go home happy, you practically get a personal shopper every time you walk in. The customer service is fantastic and they constantly have new products that are on-trend fashion and beautiful collections. Bring a couple of extra quarters for this adventure for parking, because it's hard to leave! read more

However, I recently stopped by the store to check on their sales and witnessed the Manager laughing at one of her customer after she left. The comments were about her weight and so inappropriate. Properly named two skirts: one skirt for the snobby attitude and another skirt for the atrocious customer service. Apparently last week when my friend and I visited, they couldn't decide, so they wore both. We were perusing the store and I saw a sales girl walk by me and ignore me. That's fine since I was just looking at random stuff. Here comes the real jerky part - my friend was at the counter looking at their watches and accessories. She was waiting to see a watch and I walked over to wait with her while a sales girl was at the register doing whatever she was doing. We waited patiently and it was pretty obvious we were waiting to ask for help or whatever. I mean, I could be wrong...maybe she thought we were standing there just admiring her from afar. There was another customer standing nearby looking at clothing with a dog and the sales girl walks over to greet the dog and tell it how cute it was. WHAT?! That seemed really messed up to me. Anyway, so my friend just said loudly, well, I guess she doesn't want to help me at all. Not a word from the sales girl. She just continued to talk to the dog. My mind is blown. Okay, you just chose to talk to a dog over a human being. There are places like dog hotels and dog boutiques and I'm sure they would LOVE that you talk to their dog customers, but ma'am this is a clothing store for HUMANS, please greet and talk to the HUMANS. My fiancé bought a pair of sale white jeans from size 26. Final sale purchased but since her size no need to return them. They had 27 in the 26 she literally noticed it at brunch right after buying them. They still in the bag they had them miss marked. She went in there to show them so get the right size but size didn't have her size they said sorry final sale we can't help you. Literally sold her wrong size missed located by them. Literally notice turn around not even take item out wrapping or bad and they treat like that definitely wouldn't shop here. Overpriced, bad customer service and horrible return/exchange policy. 24 hour return policy, that I wasn't told about until I went to return a pair of heels a week later. A pair of heels mind you, I wasn't sure about them fitting correctly. A pair of heels that the sales woman pressured me into getting and not telling me about this policy.(granted I chose to buy them). I would never have gotten them had I known this policy. Update: Two skirts sold me a bottle of rotten Kai perfume. I went back for an exchange, and they did so gladly, even though I didn't have the box or receipt. This experience was far better then any other experience I've had in the store. Walking in the door you feel immediately welcomed with the sophisticated decor, the adorable clothing and the extremely friendly and accommodating staff. Their attention to detail is impeccable as every piece of clothing is even better than the next. Their sales are AWESOME! And their jewelry and jean collection is unrivaled by any other store on Chestnut. Which makes me want to defend the store against some of the recent negative reviews. Being a frequent shopper there, I have NEVER experienced any rude or inappropriate behavior from any of the staff (nor have I witnessed any). The girls are always so attentive and make me feel like they are just as excited about me finding the perfect pair of jeans or cocktail dress as I am. I really like this place. They have a great selection of modern clothing designers and a small selection of shoes. After reading the other reviews here, I have to say I think the critique of customer service is a matter of personal taste. I actually don't like to be bombarded with "can i help you?" and "is there something you are looking for?" and worse yet, " can I put that in a dressing room for you?" just because you want to look at something off the rack. Maybe this is why I like ecommerce so much? or maybe that's why I like Two Skirts- because they don't harass you when you walk in the door?!! Like a sociopathic boyfriend, I like the look and feel of what is on the outside but I don't love it to death and feel I need to take it home immediately for fear of being left heartbroken with a broken wallet. Two skirts has some amazing tops that are priced a tad outside of my comfort zone but are none the less cute. My friend made a beeline to the sale section and I walked through from wall to wall to see if there was anything to my liking. A button up blue and white shirt with flared 3/4 length sleeves, oh yes please. I looked at the price and wished I could have worked that shirt into this Dresshunt 2010 adventure but walked away from it. Temptation, dirty rotten temptation. The salespeople were okay, not very helpful to me. I guess if one looks like they're wandering aimlessly and sort of at the last leg of a very long weekend of shopping and window shopping you put off a vibe that says leave me alone. But then again they were having a conversation of their own near the register and the store was filled with quite a few customers so hmm. All the girls are very helpful, they make me feel comfortable, they are honest, they call me when things come in they think I might like, the clothes are fabulous, the best designers. Frankly, it is one of the main places I shop at. I have lived in the Marina for over 15 years and I am thrilled to have Two Skirts in our neighborhood. They have everything you need from jeans to a dress for a Wedding; every occasion! Such incredibly rude sales people. Consistently. I stopped in this weekend on my way back from a walk by the Marina, and picked up a very cute top. One of the sales clerks approached me and asked if I wanted to start a room. I asked her if she could just put it aside for me so that I could come back later that afternoon after I showered (which was only polite - I could have thrown it on in my post-workout state since all I'd done was walk). She took the top from me, informed me that "we don't do holds" and put it back on the rack, end of story, no apologies (nor did she ask me if I wanted to try it on once I heard the no hold policy). Ridiculous. I can buy all the same brands at NM, Macy's, Barneys, Bloomies, and Nordstrom - and they will ALL hold the merchandise and treat me politely. There are a lot of very pricey boutiques in San Francisco, and I like to boutique shop. I can always find a way to justify an expensive "one of a kind" item. While Two Skirts has some unique clothing, they carry the same designers as Brown Eyed Girl, Sarah Shaw, and Heidi Says. What really sets Two Skirts apart from the other trendy and $$$ boutiques is the RUDE staff. They talked amongst themselves, never once saying hello or asking if I needed help-and I did. I walked in this afternoon looking for some new Fall clothes and the woman working the store couldn't be bothered to even look up from the conversation she was having with a friend.
