Extremely disappointing and unprofessional customer service. My husband is currently undergoing chemotherapy and has cancer. Because of treatment, he's very selective with food and needs to maintain his weight. Last night, all he wanted was pizza from this place. We arrived a full hour before closing, yet every item we attempted to order was met with the husband turning to the wife, her shaking her head "no," and then telling us they were "closed." This happened repeatedly until they outright refused to serve us. If you're not going to honor your posted business hours, then don't advertise them. Turning away paying customers--especially without explanation--is unacceptable. Many businesses would be grateful for customers walking in the door, and this one chose to dismiss us for no valid reason. Based on this experience, I'm not surprised if this behavior eventually affects their business. We will not be returning. read more

Was passing by the grab lunch somewhere else and the guy coming out held the door open and it smelled so good so I turned back and went it. I got a turkey avocado cheese sandwich and my lord was it the most fresh, tasty sandwich I have ever had. This will be my go to spot for sandwiches from now on. Great pizza!! And it's right next to papa John's, funny. I like papa John's bread a little better, it's very sweet... but really 2-Sal's has the better ingredients. This is my favorite local pizza spot. I highly suggest stopping in and ordering. The owners work together making all the food and sometimes calling in doesn't work because they are busy. It used to be a bit irritating trying to call and order but after stopping in and watching them work together and getting a great meal I understand and just go straight in to order now. I called ahead but it took like 5 tries to get through because of the Wednesday lunch rush. When I got there, they needed an extra 5 minutes to get my pizza ready. But it was good that he kept checking the pizza to make sure everything was baked through. The spot is small and with the one giant oven it's hot. I had my pizza as a carryout but the two workers were on point in getting all orders in. The pizza I got, large with sausage, mushrooms and olives was really filling. At the $27 price I thought that it was a little pricey but they put a good amount for the toppings which matched the price value. The pizza was delicious and baked perfectly. I can't believe I've lived in Whittier for four years and never tried Two Sal's Pizza! Was I missing out or what! This will definitely be my Pizza spot :) the pizza was full of cheese, pepperoni and jalapeños and it tasted amazing!! Been coming to this place for years. Same mom and pop combo running it. Awesome to see that. Only con is that they do not have a/c and with the ovens being so close to where you sit, it can get unbearable. Especially during the summer. But I guess it can be a pro during the cold months lol. First time trying Two Sal's Pizza, we called in our order for a large pepperoni pizza and asked for extra cheese. We were shocked when the man on the phone said we don't do that??? We were puzzled but Okay , when we picked up our order we could see why, it was the cheesiest pizza we have ever seen:) and loaded with pepperoni. I've lived in the area my whole life and never tried, it's definitely a Mom & Pop shop nothing to look at small, everything looks original in this place but clean. Love this pizza place! It's a hole in the wall that won't disappoint. Crust is normal and crispy on the edges. You might come for the pizza, but you'll stay for the SANDWICHES! the sandwich are delicious. I like the Ham, cheese and avocado sandwich. They load it with avocado, which is great! It's about $7-$9 for a sandwich and wayyy better than anything you'll get at subway, jimmy johns etc. This is a true mom and pop shop, run by two people. The best way to go is to call and order ahead of time so you don't have to sit and wait. Sometimes it can be hard to get through due to how busy they are. I like to call when they open and give them a time for when I plan on picking up. They have plenty of different canned and bottled drinks to choose from in their fridges, and a decent selection of chips. read more

This spot is a hidden Gem, it's a literal hole in the wall but this place is the definition of making food with love. The little old man and old lady that work here are vastly overworked but put love and passion into everything they make. The pizzas and sandwiches are ridiculously good. You see how much care they out into the food as they prepare it. The only downside is again, they are overworked, in the many years I've been coming here they dont seem to hire help, so with that being said they rarely answer the phones so you cannot order ahead, they dont have any online services so you gotta do things the old school way and walk in to order about 99% of the time.
