JC pizza is not better. im sure the reviews that are positive are fake. this pizza (I use that term loosely) is nothing more than a cheap knock off of a 7_11 pizza. toppings are c grade at best. sauce if there is any is z quality. topping are scarce . kind of like looking for a fruit tree in the dessert. If you love a good pizza. this is not the place. the minute I saw the pizza after I was charge an exorbitant amount. I drove by and saw "Pizza by the slice"! Usually you don't find many places that offer pizza by the slice so I was really happy about that. The service was fast and the pizza was yummy. The customer service was amazing. I got to meet the owner and he was a sweetheart. My favorite thing about this pizza was the crust, it was soft inside but crunchy on the outside. Pizza heaven!! So I've been a Montebello native for over 10+ years and I wanna say in the past it was completely different atmosphere of course different type of texture in the food itself. so about two weeks ago, I came in with my husband to do a pick up order because they don't offer delivery which is perfectly fine because this is a little Mom and Pop shop. We got to meet the owner of the place he was really cool he said that he bought the place from the original owners and that he used to work there since he was in high school. We got a supreme pizza, a pepperoni and sausage pizza and a cheese pizza for the family. So first I want to say the toppings to cheese to sauce ratio is good. They're never greedy on any of the toppings nor the cheese nor the sauce however it is now lacking flavor and in the bread before the bread had a better texture and was a little bit thicker I kinda like it on the thicker side crust. That's just my personal preference, however, sauce and the flavor was just lacking this time. Now would I recommend coming to JC versus let's say Rios Pizza no honestly I wouldn't but that's not to say that this isn't a great place. I would definitely give this place a six out of 10 on the scale when it comes to grading pizza . read more

Nice server, but she should have cleared up misleading menu; especially if other customer experienced the same issue. Special with soda is ONE 2-liter bottle, not TWO sodas. I ordered wings and a large pizza. They don't have small or medium options for the pizza. The wings came with 2 containers of ranch. The food was good. The wings are better than the pizza. Inside the place is small so it's best to order to go. The service was quick but I suggest paying with cash because there's a service fee for card & they run the debit as credit. read more
